My friends and family live in different states so it would be weird to recommend this location and U-Haul doesn't pay me for marketing. Sarah at the El Paseo store in Las Cruces is Amazing! She always was super helpful, friendly, and went over and above. She should definitely be recognized!!

Everything about the facility and the personnel was great in my opinion.. the only feedback I would give is that the price is well above all other places in town that I've checked...that was the reason I moved to a different storage facility...thx!

There was some confusion over requiring a utility bill or similar in addition to state drivers license. This should have been noted in the rental online reservation. A corporate problem , not the rental location. Turns out for one way the bill was not required.

Staff were helpful on every visit. Very professional and took time to answer questions and always provided documentation I needed for moving records.This was my first time to ever use a storage facility. I was skepticlal about safety but after using felt very safe and comfortable. Facility design is amazing. A small lot but we'll planned and the large Isuzu truck used by the charity we donated goods to accessed the unit with no problem.

I was not happy that I was charged 15 dollars just because I was not accurate on the gas. I put gas before returning it to where I assumed was the correct amount, but to my surprise when I turned it in, it was not acceptable. I think that was pretty ridiculous! Especially because when one is putting gas it is pretty difficult to get it right to the mark. I don't believe I should have been charged that amount; what a rip off.

After the trailer was dispatched, they said I could add my wife as an additional driver through the app. However, I found out that after the trailer is dispatched you cannot add an additional driver on the app. I had to call customer support and they added my wife in the notes.

I don't actually know anyone in New Mexico, but once I make new friends, if they need storage space I might remember this location. I'm a little older and sometimes forget why I entered a room.

The website wasn't working when I wanted to reserve a trailer so I went to the local office to do the paperwork. Sarah completed the reservation quickly and efficiently the day I picked up the rental. Thank you for making this transaction so smooth!

Nothing! Seriously I was greeted by helpful, courteous, friendly people. They showed genuine concern for me. I had NO wait whatever. They got the trailer unhooked, inspected and got me on my way within 5 minutes. Could not have been better!

The staff are excellent. The truck was ready to go. My only complaint is that this site has to ask for extra information from customers and even though I had filled out the pre screen info on line so that I could get going quickly - I did not receive any notification that I needed to bring extra proof of residence until after I was scheduled to pick up the vehicle. This caused delays that meant my schedule, which was a really tight schedule for the day and tied to my work, was completely off all day. This should be easy to avoid - but it appears it would require the national org to be more thoughtful about the needs of local offices and be clear about extra documentation required in certain areas of the country.

The alignment was way off, brakes were bad and squealing, and last but not least they double charged us everything. The reason they said was we were late. We were less than 3 hours late. Whatever, last week we had to rent a 15ft truck and when we went in to turn the truck in they refused to explain the charges. They just kept telling me to look at a small phone. I told them several times I needed to go in and sit down, this is where I said "I need us to go in and sit down so you can help me with the charges". They told me there were chairs inside and I could go sit down, I waited for more than 10 minutes before I just walked out and drove away. There is no professionalism in this store. I will never give this store my business again.

The layout and one-way access is annoying but necessary due to the nature of the downtown location. Sometimes you can't get out the one-way exit since it's often blocked by returning trucks, so you have to try and do a 3 point turn without backing into anything to get out through the entrance access. Just super awkward.

This company store is my preferred location in Las Cruces. Ed, the manager provided great service, and we had a great experience with the truck and supplies. Thanks to an organized, hard working team! Much appreciated.

Everything went very well. I would only suggest repainting the alphabetical letters. They need to be visible indicating where the vehicles that will be picked up after hours can be seen after retrieving the key from the lock box. The 24/7 agents that assisted with me were 100 % excellent. My local U-Haul on El Paseo has always been number one in my book.

Everything turned out great. There was some confusion on my part because I rented this unit online and chose to purchase a lock from U-haul. It said that my lock would be left in the unit so that I would not need to go to the front office, but that was not the case. There was no lock in the unit. I did need to go to the front office. When I asked them about this, they told me that they never leave locks in the unit and that they always provide them at the front office, so I felt that there was a disconnect somewhere. The use of the code was a bit confusing for me as well because the door to the building automatically opens when you walk towards the building so I wasn't sure that I still needed to enter the code. I am neurodivergent, so what is clear to others is not always clear to me. The people in the front office were patient with me and explained things several times in different ways to make sure I understood all of the instructions. Merci.

Ed was very friendly and made the progress really easy for me, I've never had a storage unit or rented a uhaul alone so it was very nice to feel comfortable and informed. The indoor storage units are really nice, it feels safe and secure to be there. Love the fact I can add 24 hour access for $10 extra a month. Easy to come and go as I please and not be bothered.

So to start with when I reserved my unit over a month in advance. For a standard size climate control unit. When I got there I was told they did not have that all they had was a closet size non climate control and that is what I would have to take. To put everything that I owned in. So then after having my belongings in that unit I was finally able to get the right size after a year and a half. Then after having my items in the unit and keeping up with it life happened and I got behind. They auctioned off my unit on the 12th of December. In the process they also threw things out that should have been shredded. And now thanks to them I am having to change my bank account do to checks being in the wrong hands.. and probably birth certificate as well. So no I would not recommend uhaul to anyone.

For a whole month I wasnt notified that my storage door wasnt locked properly. It wasnt until i was ready to empty out my storage that I got the call that my lock wasnt on properly. Luckly all my stuff was still there. A miracle on Alameda St. for sure. I had a Uhaul scheduled so I believe thats why attention was made to the lock being secure or not. Thats crazy.

I reserved a unit online two days before I showed up. Told her my name and number- she couldn't find the reservation so she had me get anther unit, larger than what I originally wanted and if course more expensive, I was so exhausted that I didn't argue, just accepted it, paid cash, and was asked if I had a disc lock, the package I originally ordered online came with one because I "booked now", she gave me one. Before we left, we went to check on the unit and to unload my car that was full of boxes, locked up and left. I was leaving and headed down el paseo, I thought to check my account- sure enough, there was the pending charge from my reservation. I called back and she then looked up the number again and miraculously found it! We went back because I needed the cash with my account having been charged and I asked if she would allow us to keep the current unit at the original price that I booked at, I had booked a 9x13x9, this was a 10x10x10, she said she couldn't do that, "that is manager stuff." So she asked if we wanted to keep the one we were in, or go to the reserved one which was less each month, I chose that for that reason and so we loaded our boxes back into the car, and moved units. This whole entire thing including moving, has been quite the ordeal and I'm frustrated. She did give me a discount on next month's fee but that really doesn't make up for it. Moving is exhausting and that was the last thing I needed at the end of a long day- week, month!! Train your employees better please.

Out of all UHaul staff starting in Mississippi, Ed Ramirez, General Manager was exceptional. He went above and beyond to help two disabled old people like us. It was a hard and long trip for us with dogs and chickens. LOL Ed Ramirez certainly has what it takes to go much further. If I may say so myself, he probably needs one helluva good raise. He is the only reason I'm giving UHaul an excellent rating. It definitely wasn't because of Mississippi. I ordered to pick up my truck in Gulfport and had to drive all the to Biloxi to get it. I never could get online for UHaul. Couldn't get any anwers except from Ed Ramirez. Thank You Ed Ramirez for your dedication to such F***** Up company. I hope UHaul higher up recognize all of your hard work and excellent customer service.

Used storage here for many years. Staff was always great. Only thing is my storage unit's security was a bit off (would trigger alarm even though I keyed in, seems the unit reported the wrong ID back to the security system) for many years (and either was recently fixed, or broke worse). I did recommend this storage facility to others, who did have units here, with no problems.

The outside was well maintained, unfortunately the blowers used to keep the outside maintained would blow dirt and debris into the locker. The inside was very dirty. Otherwise, besides a hefty price increase, it was a good storage location.

When I return the equipment there was a worker there there was very rude I talked to the manager Ed about it he was aware of it how she was rude wanting to argue and instigate an argument with none of her concern but she was there trying to do this I was told he had that I was going to contact corporate on this matter her name is Sarah don't know her last name but she needs to be recommended she is very rude and crude first incident I've had with one of your employees she does not know how to treat a customer in my opinion I don't think she'll be there very long because of her attitude thank you

There two compelling reasons for a low rating: lack of actual security and inability to access bathrooms with our security card. The cards don't actually work, so you leave the doors unlocked. Every time someone opens their locker there is a prolonged, horrific alarm because the cards are bogus ane people have learned not to even try to use them. Not a good situation, either for security or bathroom facilities. Your staff is pleasant.

I had to request a ground floor unit. They got one for me but it was too small to fit the 10 foot truck items to be stored. I was strapped for $ and had to buy a lock. They wouldn't let me buy the cheaper padlock I wanted stating the doors only locked with the expensive lock! Not true. It's just super inconvenient!

I bought a storage and within a few days they kicked me out and gave it to someone else. Nothing but a horrible experience with U-haul. I'm looking for a new storage facility right now.

I got there around 430 to get a storage unit. By the time everything was unloaded and I was trying to return my trailer it was a little past 7. They were closed but I saw one last person and asked if it was possible still. He walked me through the return process on my phone and was such a great help! I'm not sure, but I believe his name was mark!

I was overall satisfied with my experience. The main issue I had came upon checkout. I pay 2 weeks in advance and I did so on the 14th. When I checked out on the 31st of the same month which put me ahead they were unable in store to refund what accounts to an unused month of storage.

So happy to have this opportunity to review the UHaul Location on El Paseo Road, Las Cruces NM. The entire staff were welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help. The faculty itself: their main office was organized & they maintained required distance between customers (in following with Covid directions). They displayed all UHaul products in organized manner. During busy times I noticed they always continued to acknowledge & greet new customers & still worked well to give great service to everyone. I did visit their store on El Paseo multiple times while I had a storage unit there & they were always the same: kind, courteous & hard-working. I was also able to watch as they received equipment from rentals & they were cleaning it, checking/regulating air pressures in tires & storing equipment until it was rented again. The building housing my storage unit was within walking distance, there were signs directing you to the entrance to unload your items. This entrance was protected from the elements (rain/sun) by a well constructed tarpaulin-type roof. (As the temps can get hot in this area, this is well-appreciated feature.) There are multiple carts available for customer use to transport your items to your storage unit & all in great working order. (There are no wonky-wheeled carts here, they all look almost-new & are smooth rolling). The storage unit was clean & free of any dirt or debris & was easy to locate & access. The security features are excellent and they are easy-to-use directions for customers' access. Both the process of renting & clearing out of my storage unit were simple and quick. I appreciate receiving detailed receipts sent to my email. Upon completion of my rental of a storage unit at this location- I did rent a 5x8 trailer, this procedure was also handled in a very efficient & professional manner. In fact, the Mgr, Mr. Ed Ramirez was the one who processed/completed this action for me. He made 2 suggestions (pertaining to taking some action with my ball/hitch and the extension housing the ball/hitch) that upon doing so, made my road trip back across Texas a much smoother ride than when I had first pulled a 5x8 trailer to Las Cruces. Those 2 "tweaks" were truly appreciated and the difference made the process of towing a UHaul trailer behind my SUV, an easier and much smoother experience. My compliments to Mr. Ed Ramirez for managing such a well-run business.

Ed was so wonderful to work with, a real advocate for fantastic service! Thank him for us please. He was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, kind, helpful, I just can't say enough nice. He deserves a huge pat on the back! You don't see people like this in the service industry very often. A lot of the people at U-Haul have been very helpful and kind. The folks at McJay Tru Value where we picked the trailer up were really nice too! And they are dog friendly!! Thank you all, this was a more nerve wracking move than most, so to have a bunch of things go right really really helped!

Great place for storage. Plenty of carts available for loading and unloading. Staff was extremely helpful with some last minute unexpected equipment rental I needed. I always reserve a 5 star for exceptional places and this place earned it. Thank you for everything.

Had made a reservation in July for a 4'9'9 in climate control on the first floor. However when I arrived to get my storage unit. They had rented it out to someone else. So I got stuck with a smaller unit and no climate control on the second floor. With only stairs to get my stuff up there. And with being a female and having to move furniture and stuff by myself is a real inconvenience. Not happy at all with my experience this time and have no plans of ever using u-haul for moving ever again do to this

A customer cannot call the store directly. They forward you to the call center where no knows anything. You should be able to terminate your locker either by phone or online especially during a pandemic when people are trying distance themselves unnecessarily!

I rented a U-Haul from Arizona to New Mexico and made a reservation for a storage unit. I arrived in New Mexico and the facility told me they where all booked and had no storage unit for me!!! They gave me a smaller unit the next day when I called customer service to complain. When I went to get the storage into they tried to charge me full price for it when I was supposed to receive a free month since I booked the truck and storage. Worst experience ever talk about incompetence at its finest. I would not recommend Uhaul to anyone!!

I rented a storage unit which went fine. I had a van reserved for the next day. There was no van available when I showed up at the available time. I had to get a 17 ft truck instead. There was not much empathy for my inconvenience and I got the sorry but "we've been really busy." That is a service issue not a customer issue. In the end, it worked out okay but equipment should be available when promised.

I had submitted a reservation to have a storage unit. When I arrived, they found my reservation and had me pay in full only to find out the unit already had a lock on it. It was still reserved under my name and there were no other units available. I had moved out of my apartment that day and had no where to put my stuff. I am still getting email about "my" storage unit when I am not in the facility or paying any money. I mentioned that the website still lists multiple available units when I walked into the building however when I complained about the website being wrong was told it was not their fault. I checked it when I came back to the car and all the listings were now gone. There website should be updated for people with extenuating circumstances. If the units are not available the website needs to reflect this and not allow people to pay and secure a spot.
