The 26-ft truck we rented was horrible as far as the ride it felt like there was no suspension whatsoever it was extremely rough ride! When I arrived there was no one available to check me in and when someone finally did show up the two furniture movers I had reserved were not available and a dolly was not available I only was able to get an appliance dolly.

Outside area messy trash on ground. Van was fairly clean inside except inside windshield was very foggy inside and has not been cleaned for some time . Vehicle stinks like smoke. My clothes now smell like the van.

Better communication between the different locations and address that need to be picked up when we reserve vans as a corporate. Recently, we reserved 5 vans at first and when I talked to corporate they said we can pick all 5 of the vans up at one location off of Waverly in Lansing, we got there then was told by an associate that all 5 vans were over at Jolly/Cedar and gave us the address of 5400 S. Cedar, which isn't correct address. We picked up 3 vans from Jolly/Cedar, then was notified that the other 2 vans were back at the Waverly location. So we had to go back to Waverly to get those two vans. Then I reserved another van later that day and was told that we could pick it up at Jolly/Cedar but then got a text saying that it was off 3511 N East St. Lansing. Again, I understand that we all have a business to run and that they can't send out all of the cargo vans from one location. But communication between Uhaul corporate and their different units needs to be better. I have to arrange my employees around to help pick up these vans and for it to keep changing locations last minute or when we get there and is told that vans aren't there for us, it is very frustrating. That's a lot of wasted time, energy, and labor. This is not the first time it happened either.

We made the reservation in advance, the call center changed it while we were there, so we ended up having to do things three times, when it was supposed to be a pickup through the app. Drove fine, but ALL OF OUR STUFF WAS SATURATED. Will never use this location again. Could not believe how much leaking. Beyond disappointed.

My first encounter with personnel was not impressive. They were socializing and no one was interested in my presence or providing service. One guy walked past me like I wasn't there and was miffed that I asked for service. Then I found I guy actually working outside who was helpful and friendly. He got my equipment retuned in about 2 minutes.

I never got the chance to drop off the cargo van back at the location because 10 minutes after picking it up another driver ran a red light and hit me. I'm ok, but I never got to pick up the cargo I was going to haul. I know this isn't anybody's fault at U-Haul, but definitely frustrating that I paid to rent the cargo van and didn't get to use it.

System was down when I rented and was shown a hand written receipt/contract, which I took a picture of. Next day I received and actual receipt/contract. I turned the trailer in a day early and was given no documentation. I received an email the next day showing I had turned in the trailer that morning. Does Uhaul refund for unused days on a prepaid contract?

When I arrived, the reserved truck had not been prepared for my use. The lone desk employee had to complete the paperwork, then find, clear (of overnight snow), and deliver the truck to the front door. This alone took about 20 minutes, while other customers were waiting. It was a very disappointing experience, at a location where I previously had encountered no such issues.

Make sure truck is clean before a customer picks it up,my truck was dirty inside and out(well, inside just needed to be vacuumed), and when I dropped the truck off and did the verification checklist I noticed a dent in the truck that I did not put there but I feel like they should’ve told me before hand that it was there.

Limped the truck to this location. They wanted to extend my time loss by trying to repair the vehicle. I declined, so they swapped it out for another one. Had to load and unload without any offer of help from the uhaul personnel.

I and other customers waited for maybe waited 30 minutes or a hour for service at this location and multiple people called corporate about the wait and poor service and also the vehicle once we got it they said we had to jiggle the key and steering wheel to get it to start everytime we had to start it took up to 10 mimutes for us to even get it started not happy with this location at all.

We scheduled to pick up our ubox on 1/6 (one we already had in storage to take home to clean out) but for some reason it was scheduled as a pick up of a new box. Waited for about 3 hours so they could get it out of where they store them just to get a phone call asking if there is anyway we could come back tomorrow because it was so buried in the building. We were offered a $100 refund for the trouble, still have not received this even after calling and mentioning it when we dropped off the empty ubox on 1/13. The staff was nice but not very knowledgeable and seemed to blow us off once we dropped it off.

Understaffed. When I returned my rental truck early on a Friday afternoon, I waited a long time in the lobby, then had to walk around through the lot to find someone to check the truck in. When I finally found someone, I asked if he was the only staff member on duty. He said yes.

I had to shovel off a lot of snow and ice from the windshield myself. Then the back was frozen shut and had to figure out a way to fix that myself. The moving pads I requested and needed were locked up in the truck so couldn't jaw them.

This location provided excellent customer service! The manager was extremely professional and accommodating. When I first chose our storage unit, I didn't realize I chose the wrong size. She happily changed our order and did not charge us for the difference in size. My only issue is, the location of the unit inside of the facility was somewhat far from where the truck was so it was a lot of back-and-forth. However, the cards they provided were extremely helpful and needed. Overall, the process was great!

She works at the jolly an cedar location in lansing mi, she was amazing , very thorough, fast efficient, quick on her feet with alternate ideas when what I was looking for wasn't available. Checking into the facility had unclear signage (where to swipe to check in was unclear). The card readers didn't work well/consistently. There were other readers available and with practice it got better, but overall could've been easier to start with.

I moved a bunch of stuff because I was building a home and had to sell mine. My move in date for my new build had changed 3 times in 4 months and kept getting pushed back. Jordan was extremely accommodating and understanding. When I brought some heavy weight equipment to the storage unit, Tarale, helped me a ton. Both Jordan and Tarale were so helpful, professional, and kind! I will use this location again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a storage unit!!!!!

I went into the Cedar/Jolly location a year and a half to two years ago and it seemed like an unorganized mess. I was hesitant to go back but it's the most convenient one. I was beyond pleased with the difference in cleanliness, customer service, and overall organization that I saw. Huge change from a year and a half ago! I was a little apprehensive about my things being safe at this store due to location but Jordan Martin took me to where my belongings would be held and showed me how secure the area was and that everything is under surveillance. Jordan was so friendly, personable, and reassuring which made me feel safe. I will be coming here for future services and also be recommending this location to everyone!!! Excellent job!!!! I am so happy with my experience!!!!

I have no disputes. The unit was clean and we'll kept. My issue with the employees was not the local employees. The issue was that I couldn't ever get through to management at Cedar and Jolly. Whenever I called I would get the phone service center. It was very frustrating.

The reason I did not give 5 stars is, because of the Access hours. I forgot to ask about it and the staff member did not inform me the day I got the unit. I spent close to an hour, trying to get through to customer service, to ask about the hours, just to find out the access hours is the same as the store hours, unless I wanted to pay to have after hours access.

The lock on the outside door was broken...I reported that I could open the door and hoping it will be fixed as that would be a security concern. Otherwise, experience was excellent . It was well lit but I had concern about broken lock

I am rating an excellent for one reason, the boss Mr. O'Riley. he was very fair and exceeded expectations. However, the door situation and access is a bunch of BS. The doors never fin worked properly the entire time I was renting which was over a year. Totally fin stupid u cant get the doors to open properly...and stay open when they are supposed to after logging in and being in the unit. i had to prop the doors open everytime...including my last day...GET THE FUKIN DOORS FIXED!!!!!!
