The drop off location at 5200 State Ave in Kansas City needs to improve their communication. Dropped the trailer off early but they never completed the transaction stating the trailer was returned. I tried calling several times with no success, finally had to physically drive back to that location to complete the process. Quite a pain in the ass honestly.

I was really impressed. I manage a business myself and hope my experienced staff train and interact, as these two guys did.

If i would have not found the sticker saying no i would have done damage to my item and to the rental item. I feel the associate needs more knowledge of the equipment and know the limits of the equipment that is being rented out to the customer. other then that issue all the workers was very friendly and treated me good. overall i was very pleased with my interaction with uhaul
Steven ClarkThe store looked deserted when we arrived. As we approached the counter, we heard a faint voice. The employee remained seated during our transaction. He was polite but didn't go out of his way to make us feel welcomed. He handed us the keys and pointed us toward our rental. He had pointed us in the wrong direction. We found our rental in another row. Not the row he had directed us to. I thought her should have been more emgaging with as his customers.

If you already charged the previous customer for cleaning the equipment, why rent it out still dirty, and then try to charge me for cleaning too? Let people know that they will need additional information, such as their apartment rental agreement or employment contact, or an additional contact with someone else, before arriving to pick up the equipment. Allow the ability to submit the apartment rental contract in electronic format. Your app requires a new photo of a printed contract. There was no option to access an existing digital document already on my phone. If asking a worker for help with the app, don't have them create a new rental agreement and try to charge me twice for one rental, even after showing the worker that my bank account has already been charged. They still asked for my payment details. When asking for the supervisor, it would be nice to speak with the supervisor, instead of being told that the supervisor is somewhere else and won't be able to help you.

MARK DOTYThe battery died while I was filling it up with gas, it took like an hour for the tow company to assist us (no big deal) but he pointed out that the battery seems like someone was trying to unplugged it.

But truck had snow and ice packed on the front windshield and was not ready to go…this was picked up before store hours. I did receive $50 credit for not having the correct vehicle ready and this helped get me feeling better about the rental experience

Davis LandFirst location didn't have my equipment ready. Second location key box was locked frozen and I had to keep budging it open in -3 degree weather. On top of that, the van wasn't filed with gas all the way and I was still charged 22 dollars for gas I still put in

NAJEE ABDULLAHHire professional staff and train them. One staff member branded two weapons at me and my father and called me a weirdo and made the entire experience extremely hostile. Started with me not hearing the associate asking for another persons contact info. I repeated mine and the associate got an attitude. I asked if there was an issue then his attitude went from 0-100 real fast.

Bradley GrahamThe truck was clean and worked well for what we needed it for. The check engine light was on. We were unable to move the driver's seat forward. I am only 5' tall and had to stretch to reach the petals. I also had difficulty getting into the cab. Perhaps a pull out extra step could be attached to the step on the driver's side to make entering the cab easier.

carol mccordArrived at the location and reserved unit was not available and had a lock on it. The manager Gabriel never told me it was his fault and gave me 2 options. To either pay more a month for a larger available unit or choose the non climate control unit. He said he could not give the larger unit for same prize. I was paying professional movers by the hour. It took over 30 minutes to get assigned a new unit. This whole process had me in tears and feeling completely helpless as I had no recourse although I did everything right.

One set of doors to enter the main building was never open, I always had to walk around to the other side and then hunt someone down to help me if I needed anything. The site was secure, which is great considering the area it is in. I do wish each unit had a light in it, but that's probably not feasible. Overall it was a good experience!

I received an email with a charge for the unit cleaning. I don't mind being charged, but he did not tell me there would be a charge, also I was charged for the following month even after I cleaned out the unit. I'm waiting for someone to contact me to provide a refund.

I was treated as a customer number, they were more worried about the other people in line than me. I moved from IL to MO. Though having storage in KS isn't ideal, the customer service was outstanding! Clean facility too.

CARL WHEELER | Premières impressionsI think we messed up the convenience of the online check-in process by seeking guidance from the staff instead of attempting to just access the facility on our own. Rather than just walking us through the info we received online, it was as if they started the check-in process all over but did not tell us they changed our access info, etc and they charged us for another lock but we found one in the unit when we got to the unit. Small inconveniences of having to make multiple trips back to the office to figure out why we couldn't get in. In the end it all worked out fine, just not the most helpful (knowledgeable??) staff. Nice facility, less impressed with the staff. Just seemed to go through the motions rather than really listen to customer and assist appropriately. Even inquired about dropping our rental truck there instead of returning to STL area but was basically discouraged from doing so for reasons that felt more like because the staff didn't want to deal with it, than for legitimate reasons. This may be an inaccurate impression, so I don't want to be too negative about our experience with staff. Overall I would recommend the facility to others.

The draw back was that our unit was located inside the store area and we could not access it after 7. When we moved out of unit it became very apparent that no big extermination had been done. We paid for a climate control area which I assumed would mean minimal bug inhabitation but I was wrong! Ants and beetles covered the floor under our things. Thankfully beds were up high and showed no sign of bugs.

Very difficult when taking items to locker and to car. Almost fell a couple times. Need ramps or life to get upstairs when you are carrying items.
