Worked out well. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a storage facility.
Robert T. | Expérience généraleThe van was dirty on the outside and it smelled like a smoker had been in it. It ran well and worked well for my purpose. I guess I thought it would be washed much like a rental car. I would use UHAUL again as the check in/check out process went well.
Heidi S.I hate that I have to rate the locations. They actually aren't the problem. My problem has been with customer service. The truck I rented broke down. I understand that breakdowns will happen, but the follow through was atrocious. The breakdown resulted in the truck needing to be towed away. Fortunately, I had a family member following in my personal vehicle. So, we made the 186 mile drive home to wait for the truck to get repaired. It turned out that my items needed to be unloaded before any repairs could be made, so a different truck was arranged. This resulted in me needing to take 2 days of vacation to be there for the transfer and to be able to continue my move and the 186 mile drive back down to get the truck. Since U-haul didn't have any drivers available, I had to pick up the replacement truck and drive it to where my broken truck was sitting. That wasn't a big deal, but when I got to the location to pick up the replacement truck, I was informed they didn't have one for me. So, my family member and I got to stand around for 1/2 hour waiting to find out if we made the trip for nothing. Finally, they released a truck to us. When we got to the location of the broken truck, the crew hired by U-haul was there waiting for us, so we thought that was a good sign. Well, it took the crew of 5 an hour longer to transfer my items from one truck to the other (walking directly across the ramp between trucks) than it took the crew of 2 that I hired to load the truck and my crew had to navigate flights of stairs. Not only did it take them longer, but I had to help move the heaviest items, because the 5 guys couldn't do it on their own. Eventually, we were finally able to finish the move. With as late as things had gotten, we unloaded the truck the next morning. Which we did 2 hours quicker than the 5 person crew transferred my items. Granted, we weren't needing to pack and stack items, so that saved us some time, but there were 2 of instead of 5. By the time we finished unloading, U-haul was already calling to see when I'd have the truck dropped off. I let them know it would be back within an hour. We actually had it back in about 1/2 hour. The next day when I checked my bank account, I found out that I was billed for the extra days I had the truck due to their breakdown. I have reached out 3 times to try to get that resolved. When I reached out, I was informed that someone would be in contact with me within 3 business days. It's been almost 3 months since my initial attempt and I still haven't heard from them. Even after reaching out 2 more times and letting them know I was disappointed in the lack of follow-up. It seems pretty obvious to me that customer satisfaction doesn't mean much to them. They were quick to collect money from me, but when they should be reimbursing money they ignore the customer. It's very frustrating to be billed extra for their faulty equipment. The part that failed wasn't a routine maintenance type part, so I wouldn't have held the breakdown against them, if they had treated me fairly. At this point, I would never use U-haul, again.

Joshua W.I will not recommend U-Haul to a friend. I have used U-Haul for many many many years, and now I will go somewhere else. I made my reservation. I came there with my movers who are billing me by the hour and then I was unable to get my truck, because there was an E hold. I was told to call a phone number and was to expect a 20 minute wait which was closer to a 30 minute wait before someone came on the line and cleared me to go in and get my rental. This put me in a very bad position as my movers were then late getting my job done I had to pay more. Also, when I first got to U-Haul, I found out they do not accept Apple Pay so I had to drive all the way back to Bloomington to get my credit card.
Bethany S.Service counter person was not able to help me adjust a reservation I made on line. Could only execute on the order and could not make any adjustments. If I wanted the rental truck I needed to take it as ordered and then contact corporate U-Haul to determine if any change could be made to my mileage allowance and rental cost.

Jeff B.When I returned the truck I was asked if I got gas for it. I said we went 2,5 miles and she said, yeah, do you want to go get gas before you return it... exactly how much gas should I get for a 2,5 mile drive. I should have just said "yes"; but I felt that was ridiculous.
Katie S.You can shove your equipment right up your ass. I was charged $17 for having the fuel level at 13/16 full. The needle was totally above 3/4. I filled the tank full in Kasson figuring I could have it at 7/8 when I arrived. FUCK YOU!!!!!!!

Borys T.I had purchased a hitch to be installed a week later. When I showed up at the appointment they told me they didn't have the part and would have to call me when it's arrived. They told me this has happened to them multiple times previously and it's a glitch in the system. Mark did try to call the Bloomington location but they were out as well. He said I couldn't get a discount on the installation because it was a centralized problem, not a problem with his store. I got a call later that afternoon stating my part was here and they could do the install in about an hour the next morning. I show up in the morning and tell Mark that I have to leave in 1 hr 45 to drop off my daughter at school. Mark gets super snippy and starts raising his voice with me, "you can't put me under pressure like that. This is a drop off facility." I told Mark that he was the one who said he could get it done in about an hour, Mark said, "we don't give guarantees." I told him them you should have told me that yesterday when you said it would take about an hour. After he got my Honda Accord into the shop he comes out 5 minutes later and tells me it's going to take a couple of hours because he has to take the bumper off. "This is a special installation. It's not normal." Great. I have to take an Uber back to my place and ask if they can give me a discount for the double hassle of not having the part for the stated appointment time and not being able to finish it when Mark stated he could get it done. Mark was very rude and trying to blame corporate Uhaul while not taking any responsibility for his role in stating it would take about an hour. He said he could get me $60 off, "but no more, we never do this. This is coming out of our pockets. Corporate would have our butts if they knew we were doing this." Ok great. I asked to talk to his manager and Mark goes off, "he ain't gonna get you more money if that's what you want." I stated that I just wanted to talk to him/her and make sure this doesn't happen again to another customer. Since Mark had said this happens occasionally. Mark walks away angrily talking under his breathe. Another guy comes, never introduces himself to me and Mark starts to explain his side of the story. Manager Dustin is calmer than Mark and talks Mark down but doesn't seem to understand that what I want is for him to bring this up with his manager and higher ups that this is a recurring issues and highly inconvenient to not have a part on the install day and also to give a time that the work would be completed and not finish it. I ended up taking an Uber home. Got a call later that day it was done but the rudeness of Mark and the lack of care from manager Dustin was horrible customer service. James M.Only for convenience I would recommend this location. They have a variety of options for rentals. However, check your equipment. My van had issues restarting and once it started after an hour delay, I couldn't turn it off with the fear of not restarting again. Not very convenient nor safe to leave a van running while loading and unloading.

I didn't look at his name, but the tag he wore test read “the ownerâ€. This guy has zero customer service, and I regretted? Looks down on people, and have spoken down on me on 2 separate occasions now. I had 2 storage unit with this location since 2018, I moved out of both storages this summer, after this guy lashed out on me rudely this summer. Yesterday, he served me at the counter when I came in to rent a truck, and he was extremely rude. First thing in the morning, ruined my morning. I drove off with the truck I rented, regretting that I came there in the first place., and for the first time since I started renting trucks from them since 2014. I know it's time to look elsewhere. The employees on this location are nice, but the owner does not value my business, and has gone extra miles to show it.

I had the storage unit for 4 months , why can't I get a credit for a month????? Total scam, false advertising, bait and switch. Just want my free month as I was promised.

My payment was due in the 2nd of the month and when I went online to pay it on the 2nd you always showed me as past due?? Why are there no partial month refunds.
