When U-haul called me the day before to confirm my rental, they told me my original pick up location was only opened from 6am - 10am. My rental was for 11am and the lady on the phone told me it will be a mobile pick up. When I arrived to my original pick up location at 11:00am (62 Commerce St Barrie), I went on the u-haul app the start the pick up process, but I kept getting a prompt that said it wasn't set up. I then called u-haul and waited on hold for over 30 minutes and one person said the manager at the location forgot to set up my rental for mobile pick up and that the keys were inside the business that was closed. The call got cut and I had to call back when another man picked up and helped me right away. Told me to go to a different location in Barrie and gave me a $50 credit for all my troubles. This location on Dunlop street was no trouble and got my rental within 5 minutes. I was grateful for the man on the phone for helping me after going through 3 different people, but I wish the pick up process would have been smoother as I wasted 2 hours just trying to pick up the rental.

One thing that we did notice, is that the person who checked us in, was a little difficult to understand, and was not the most friendly. She wasn't rude or anything like that, and did do her job, we just didn't get the " warm fuzzies" that might have made the experience a little better.

I filled the entire tank of fuel but they charged me 172,47 for the fuel. I was lucky that I took photos of the full fuel tank after filling. I complained to Uhaul for that and Uhaul refunded my money. Same thing happened with my friend. He asked me to take pictures of the fuel tank and the cleaned truck because this location charged him even though he did everything he was suppose to do.

When somebody is picking up your equipment you have to provide the proper instructions. Your representatives are just having fun, gossips and talks with each other. They don't give you proper information. I picked up a cargo van and they just told me the rental rates and ask for the estimate milage and got charged around 47$ and told me that the access usage i will be paid extra. When i returned they said there is a Distance charges extra and the fuel charges are extra and i only used 4km extra and they charged me 30$ for that. How scam this place is. They have only one community people when they don't have answer to your questions. They start talking each other in their language. English is not mandatory there. Ask everything and tell them to give you all in written. Otherwise you will be scammed for extra dollars.

Worst experience at this location. When I first got the truck they gave me the wrong gas and mileage, I had to have the guy that work there readjust that, good thing I notice or I would've have to pay more for the gas and mileage. Second the review light was broken and so was the gas cap which I had told the guy the did the walk around with us when checking the truck and now their trying to charge me $89 for damages which was already there, I will never be going back to this location to rent a truck EVER!!!!

The vehicle (10 foot) was very dirty, this made the circle check difficult, it was a very sunny day, which made it difficult to see out the windshield and mirrors, I had to clean them myself, Also I made an error in booking, I booked to drop off the vehicle where I picked it up, before I realized that I missed the SMALL print advising of the mileage charge, I was told I could not cancel the order and rebook without calling Head office but was also told they probably won't answerer as they are always busy, I tried calling and yes I could not talk to anyone. Lastly I received the vehicle a 7/8 full tank since I have no Idea what the tank holds I ended up leaving it Full with no compensation. So in conclusion I paid extra for gas, twice as much for mileage, cleaned some of the the vehicle, and had to drive a vehicle that the passenger side mirror was limited to one or positions and the driver seat could not be moved forward or back. The staff were efficient and friendly but were not surprised that I had made the mileage mistake and I really didn't feel they were interested in helping with this and with the extra gas, it was sorry to bad no refund, Leaving the gas tank at 7/8 clearly causes most people to just fill it and take the loss.

Everything was good overall, but I asked that the payment that was supposed to be made after the return of the truck not be made with the card on file and that I would come the next day to make the payment in person . I was that it wouldn't be an issue as long as I came the next day before closing and despite that the payment was made the same day.

The Gate on the trailer was damaged. I could not release it to load and unload my cargo. This made things very difficult. I have been renting here and these trailers for years . I should not have to pay for this when the trailer was not usable.

I have had a extremely poor experience with Uhaul for the hitch installation. So purchased the hitch and book an online installation at 411 Main St N Brampton store. Your website allowed me to book for 5 pm evening on 3rd of Feb(Saturday). on 31st Jan 2023, I called uHaul cust care for some info and they told me that you do not do the hitch installion that late in evening(So why the website allowed to me to book and why am I getting this info no) anyways, he then booked me at the same place for 2nd Feb 2024 at 3pm. on 1st Feb 2024, I called the store to check if they have the updated reservation details or not and they told me that they do not do the hitch installation for BMW's. At this stage I was very frustrated and donot know what to do next. if you guys cannot do it properly, I request to kindly stop doing it so that customers does not face such situations. Anyways, I connected with the customer care again and they told me it can be done in missisuaga and booked me at 8am on 2nd Feb 2024 I need to get the hilch from brampton store and then go to missisuaga to get it installed. not sure if they will be doing it or sending me back. In all these process, I lost a lot of time and money. I work as a it consultant and I have to take time off my job to get this all done. I am very unsatisfied with my overall experience.

I did all the check in and everything online in my uhaul account. I even uploaded my driving license online. However when i went to the location to pickup the uhaul they couldn't fond any information about my license which was weird. Apart from that the rest of the process was very smooth

Several items have clear mice damage. Unit was very dark, needed flashlights to load an unload. The fire alarm has been on low battery, doing that annoying beep the entire time of our storing stay. Heard it non stop loading in the unit, non stop moving out. Staff were not friendly or knowledgeable when we first arrived.

I am not statisfied with the service of my last renta. My pickup location I wanted over 20 mins outside in the sun for rhe rep to open the door and assist no one was at the office. I called your customer and was given $50 off my renta and when I dropped off my renta they did not apply the $50 off but told to call customer because the rep did not put it on. The rep I think his name was Bryan...when he came in he looked half a sleep no apology made he just act like he did not care. I was very upset because I have some deadlines to meet and my while day went bad after due to getting the truco very late. The Dropbox off location was ok ....no problem

We enjoyed Uhaul, but you advertise a price on your main wall and continue to raise the price 4 different times. We always paid in advance or monthly, never late, but continued to get charged more. I brought this up to anyone who would listen, and nothing changed. Last month I was charged another 4 dollars. Your advertisement is false and misleading. You could have had me as customer for years.

While staff is always polite and friendly, I always wait a minimum of 10 minutes in line before talking to a cashier. I always expect that things will take a long time when I go to this U-Haul. I cannot be in a hurry. I came today to change my storage unit from a big one to a smaller one. Before I could start to empty, I was told by an associate to go tell the cashier to sign me out of one storage unit first. So I lined up for 10 minutes just to find out by the cashier that I could have emptied my storage unit and filled the new one and then lined up to see the cashier to complete the transaction. Too much time wasted.

Very unorganized, alot of the times don't pick up the phone, not good at explaining to customers that when they put a hold on a storage unit it just for the day. They don't show you the unit until after you pay which not good. steep stairs to go to units they need to make better access for people that can't go on stairs. I have used this location in the past for moves never really had too much issues but yesterday I was pretty disappointed.

Extremely upset that it took about 30 mins to get into my locker. Not to mention you guys wouldn't take my bank card, so I then had to go get money out to pay for it. Also my original locker was locked and they didn't know why. They had to give me another locker. Also didn't realize that i had to go up stairs to get into the storage unit. It took 5 hours to unload our truck because of this. I understand it says you may have to go up a few stairs but that's extremely misleading as this is an entire flight of stairs. Also had to step down into the location which made things even more difficult to move. Also not to mention I couldn't even get close to the door, we had to park off to the side and was not able to use the ramp. Extremely disappointed in this storage location. Will never rent storage at this particular uhual location again.

The load in area needs to have a ramp you can move the trolly in and out within you don't have a truck with a ramp. I have trouble each time calling to get through to a staff member it takes so long. They are not courteous and put you on hold for a long time after answering and jot saying anything. I was moving from one unit to the next and HD all the above difficulties on top of the staff on site did not have access codes and had to wait

Lighting was terrible especially where upper units were located. Trucks were always parked blocking entrance way to storage units. Sometimes there were sketchy people waiting outside of the door trying to get in without a code. My storage unit would have water in it every time the snow melted - there is a leak coming in from the right side of unit by door.

Uhaul attendant Ms Madhu was extremely helpful. I am very pleased with the service she provided. I will always remember this experience.

In the past 10 years I have used the storage space at UHaul a few times.I have always been impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and I have also observed how well they take care of the vehicles.I do have one recommendation and that is some of the staff need to smile more while serving customers.The cleaning lady was always very helpful and pleasant. I would definitely use UHaul again in the future.

I paid for this storage unit for a client as I'm a realtor. They were not happy at all when they couldn't access the unit. I had also asked if by chance the unit for the 3rd month could be shortened to the end of the first week as the client moved everything out Aug 8. I will never get involved or book through your location again. Your staff was extremely rude to myself on 2 occasions and my client on another occassion.

A big issue was no lighting in the storage itself. The hours were also fairly short in the evening and accessing the storage was challenging at times.

Worst service ever. Booked 26'ft truck 3 weeks in advance and got confirmation but get a call one day before saying they have a 17'ft ready . Bad service from madhu at counter as well. DO NOT USE.

We needed a second storage at the last minute and the staff were very accommodating in finding us something for the 4 days we needed them. They also graciously returned one month payment to us after.

Need lighting in the actual storage units. Even during the day time it was difficult to see in the unit itself. The staff at this location always went above and beyond for me.
