I did have to purchase my own battery-operated light for my unit since only the main hallways are well lit. The only suggestion I have for improvement for the renter's experience would be to have flatbeds available in the hallways so we may use them during the moving process. Overall, I had a great experience renting from this facility, and the online payment portal was very helpful and easy to use. Everyone I spoke to in the main office was friendly and helpful. Merci.

Less than six miles of driving, I get the low fuel notification. Ended up filling tank with almost tree times the fuel was originally in the tank. Drove a total of 24 miles. I would recommend this location if this issue is corrected. Personnel amical.

I was perfectly willing to pay the 6 dollar markup per gallon when we returned it but we didn't drive that much and it was only given to us at 1/4. Either tell the customer about the extra charge or fill the truck up to at least 1/2. I mean I'm glad there's a gas station right outside and I'm glad the employee let us go fill up but I would have been pissed if they were just like no you already returned it here is your bill. There's a big difference between paying a 6 dollar premium to fill up 5 gallons and paying a 30 dollar service charge that we were not warned about. Aside from that, solid truck and nice employees. Merci!

Elena G | Expérience généraleI rented a 26' truck. When I arrived to pick it up I was informed the truck had been in an accident. They offered me a 20' at 0,68 cents per mile. I agreed. When it came time to pay, conveniently they were unable to change the rate from 0,99 cents per mile. So, by giving me a smaller truck I would have to make more trips at the same cost per mile. Merci.

Pedro R | Premières impressionsOur experience was not good. First off our reservation was made a week in advance for a 20ft truck and (2) furniture dolly for the Crosstown location. Uhual called the day before pickup to notify us that Crosstown would not have our truck and that we needed to go to the Kostoryz location. While on the phone I asked for them to confirm the (2) furniture dolly would be available as this was an issue during a previous reservation. She (uhual rep) said she would confirm and make sure they were there. We arrived at Kotoryz and were informed our truck had not been returned yet. Phone calls later we were given another truck but no furniture dolly. We called three stores and furniture dolly were available for sale but not rent. I do not understand how no location has a furniture dolly. 100 % unacceptable. You should keep a certain amount on stock and as they are not returned then reorder new ones. Especially when you charge for the rental. Use that money to buy new equipment. Thats why there is a fee. This added a lot of additional man power and timing to our moving that should not have occurred. Your lack of furniture dolly issue makes me want to choose another moving company going forward. Don't allow someone to make a reservation and then the day of explain those items are not available.
Katherine WI rented this truck, and setup a rental for a motorcycle trailer as well. Was called and told that they didn't have the trailer, but that another location had one. I thought the person was setting it up for me to pickup the trailer at another location, this was not the case. Had to setup a new rental for a trailer at another location. When I got to the new location to pickup said trailer, the staff informed me that the truck had no hitch, and was locked. Like, do you people even pay attention at all? Failure all the way around. Truck was clean and it was fine, but skip this location.

To be tremendously over charged and given false information on every single phone call. At the end, we were slightly compensated but still highly inconvenienced and still overcharged. Our mileage was 7 they insisted it was 18 I guess Mapquest Google maps etc are false

Was awesome to be able to do online check in and have my unit unlocked with a lock waiting inside. The lady in the office was also super nice and able to get me a gate fob for easy access. In all great location, great staff, great prices. Will definitely be using them again if I'm in the area and need to store my bike.

I don't know how that could've happened but oh well can't do nothing about it now. And there was one other issue it was supposed to be climate controlled which that would mean cold air and it was hot and humid in the building. But otherwise I was satisfied

If there were multiple trucks being staged or people getting into their units in building A, there was nowhere to go, you waited outside the gate in the little parking lot. Other than that, the buildings were well maintained and no sign of bugs or rodents. The office was really easy to find.

I'm 100 % disabled.. she put me on restricted access.. I use the unit to rebuild bycles and electric panels. There were other customers there who put tents up stayed 24 hrs.. she didn't say a word to them. I put the tarp bc it was pouring down rain..wen the sun comes out it's very hot.. I'm on 6 different meds.. some of the meds make me sensitive to the sun.. I explained to her she said she didn't care get out.. I'm never late on payments.. she said I disrespected her bc I put the tarp up to work on some tables. She told me to get out in 1 day.. again I'm 100 % disabled disabled Vietnam vet also..I was always polite to her.. she wouldn't let me stay late and pack the 20 ft truck I rented from uhaul. Turned my clicker off. I'm 66 no help. She would not let me make shade with the tarp to move out.. she's a horrible person.. if I had any compensation for terrible treatment I received it would b to fire her .. I thnk she had in for single men..

I've been to many U-Hauls from coast to coast and this location has the best customer service from optimizing my truck reservation, to selling boxes and setting up the storage unit. They have it all. Better than the main branch on SPID. Storage gate has a remote clicker too (no code required in and out).

During my 3yrs as a customer, I never experienced any problems with lighting, temperature, access, thefts etc. All surroundings, both inside the facility as well as the drive areas, are always kept clean and free of debris and objects making vehicle access quick and easy. Uhaul at Kostoryz/SPID has my recommendation to anyone needing to properly secure their belongings.

I was not notified of fire for 48 hours at which point all my goods had been TAKEN by someone. without my consent or my knowledge of their condition. On the would I? I would say I was happy for many years UNTIL the fire and the lack of transparency in regard to fire. Now I am not totally happy. Were my things stolen? Were they black rubble. Could I have salvaged something?
