Check the vehicles being rented thoroughly because people like me are allergic to animals and the inside of the vehicle was loaded with pet hairs all over the interior and I instantly was itchy.

Make sure vehicles are regularly inspected and repaired. Check engine light was on and there was a notification that the stabilitrack needed to be serviced. Besides that it was a smooth process that greatly helped me move. Very helpful workers.

Please send my appreciation to the staff at U-Haul on college road in Fairbanks, Alaska. Staff were kind and helped me find my storage unit when I first stored my items. As I was moving out a bathroom flooded and I saw staff respond within minutes and by that evening it was completely cleaned up. They were also prompt and friendly when I closed my current account. I have used this location twice and have enjoyed both experiences. Thank you so much for helping during multiple moves.

I can not say enough good things about Uhaul. I became behind on my bill and Diane was willing to work with me to get my things out of storage. The problem was I was in a different city for surgery, then after that recovery had to be flown back to that same city for an emergent surgery. She worked with me and did not put my unit up for auction which she would have been well within her right. Teri also was trying to work with me. In this day in age this type of above and beyond customer service is sooooo hard to find and almost obsolete. My only critique would be that Uhaul should take partial payments. I would have been able to keep my stuff there and would have been able to make my account up to date. I thought it was a bit weird they do not take partial payments. Diane also left me speechless and feeling blessed; when she had the police and fire Chaplain come visit me in the rehab hospital. That made me speechless, but I felt so blessed and special. For her to take the time to think of doing and then actually making it happen. I can not thank her enough!

The truck was plugged in and warm when we arrived. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. It was very easy to rent this truck using the app.

The customer service was great, but the back door was frozen shut and we weren't able to get into it right away. Also the loading dock was completely frozen to the truck and made it really difficult when we tried to pull it out.

My power steering went out in the first 50 miles. The brakes also locked up halfway through my trip (and the rest of the trip), making it very hard to stop the loaded U-Haul.

The Van was very dirty, full with dog hairs, smells bad and the dog that was inside the van threw up inside the vehicle. One should have inspected the vehicle prior to taking it back and giving it to another customer who happened to be me.

I booked online 2x over a week. I requested duallies. When I arrived, only one was available when I requested 3 each time and the heavy appliance dually. I was only able to get one. Very frustrating. I planned accordingly with the full expectation that I would be able to get what I requested. And I did the after-hour drop off and was still charged for the duallies that I never received.

Didn't have my reserved truck and trailer then I needed it. I reserved the truck several months ago. Had to scramble to find an available truck on moving day. Still didn't have the right sized truck I needed. I was extremely upset. This was a big deal, especially traveling across the United States from Alaska to Tennessee.

Be sure all the steps are free of ice. They were all iced and slippery. The van was covered in ice and snow. It took the employee 15 minutes to get the windshield clear. All the employees were very courteous. I appreciate that.

Tech did non properly secure trailer to hitch, when load was added to trailer the trailer came off of the hitch and damaged my car

The truck was operable and worked. The service was excellent. I had to extend the rental and used the online tool and it worked well. Thanks so much for making this an easy process.

The vehicle was a hazard because it did not have proper tires for basic winter road conditions in Alaska. The tires were not studded, chained nor plain winter tires. The truck stalled and rolled backwards on slopes. It should not have been rented out. When you returned and complained about the tires, I was informed that that was the only truck without studs. As I left the property, I took a quick inventory and noticed that no truck tires were studded.

I rent a truck for a month, I always rent for moving between houses, building and storage, I always pay 0,79 a mile, I returned it and they said because I rent it on Saturday, I paid 0,99 a mile, which doesn't make sense. I didn't rent for a weekend only, I rented for the whole month and this is the first I heard 0,99 a mile, which I felt is a ripoff. Please credit me for $81 extra they charged me. Merci

Location is great, after hours turn in system via app is almost non functional. Required photos would not be accepted, barcode scanning for location did not work. Overall the time spent trying to turn in the rental took so long that eating the overcharge fee is a better use of time.

Vehicle had low air in tires and cracks all over windshield, wiper fluid didn’t spray correctly on driver side, check engine light came on due to oil needing to be changed, turn signal fell out of the vehicle without any impact.

The inside of my storage unit got wet. All items on the ground were wet or had water damage. Poor conditions for storage on the outside units. Would definitely recommend indoor storage units. Security is top notch.

The access to this facility was blocked by customers accessing their storage units. I had to walk around the building until I found an Associate, the entrance was poorly marked. The parking spot for the trailer was narrow and difficult to access. The employee, on the other hand, was very pleasant and super apologetic about my concerns. He did a great job helping me get the trailer off and helping me get checked in.

I rented this last Saturday, returned it Sunday. It's now Tuesday and they just finally emailed me my contract. Good thing I wasn't pulled over! Especially considering the trailers plate expired in 2021! Good work uhaul!

When I moved in a lock was already on my assigned storage unit, so in the confusion the attendant had to cut the lock off, only to reveal another persons goods still inside. We had to go down to the office, reassign me another locker and move my things again. The whole process took about an hour. Very dissatisfying.

Other than the fact that I kept getting billed monthly all the way through September of 2022, after I removed all my belongings in April of 2022, my overall experience with that facility was very good. And the billing mistake was resolved as well.

The location is a bit annoying since it's at a corner of a highway (ish) so getting in and/our out may require to make a U-turn. They're low on staff. From a business point of view they probably do have the right amount of people, but as soon more then two people shows up you may as well pull a chair from your storage. The pros: Awesome attitude and climate, I interacted with at least 4 different individuals and they were all genuinely friendly and helpful even tho they were swamped during my visit

Access to storage unit was continuously blocked by trucks, maneuvering personnel vehicle onsite was very congested. Units were being flooded by water and ice. I chose to relocate to a different provider to protect my belongings. I will not recommend this facility to future clients.

Kind of baffled at how online it shows unit price of 109,95 and when I decided to walk in and get another unit in person they are charging 129,95!

The only thing I wish could've been different is that if I pay for 24 hour access, that I would be able to use the large automatic loading and unloading doors at the front of the building, rather than having to move in and try to fit everything through the small single side door. Although there was a keypad which I was able to put my combination into at the big front door, it would not open or unlock after 8 pm, which made it difficult to initially move my belongings into the storage unit, being that we arrived into Fairbanks around 9pm, and paid extra for 24 hour access. Other than that, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the building and unit was clean.

There are homeless people who live at the storage facility. When moving items to our floor, there are a few (transients) who stay and loiter why you move your items from the truck to your facility. The most upsetting thing is not having access to the restrooms, due to the transients sleeping in there.

The woman (didn't get her name) who helped me check-in on 22SEP was so helpful! I originally had a smaller storage unit but needed to upgrade size. She helped me get the perfect size on the 1st floor which made my move-in super easy!

The phone response for calling directly to the facility is subpar, most likely from high call volume. However, the staff are phenomenal!!

My experience with Uhaul storage was terrible. From the first day the electronic key pad told me my door was still open when I left for the day. I asked an employee and they told me not to worry about it. After a few days I talked to the manager and was told he would call me by Tuesday (a week) to set up an appointment to fix it. Two months go by and I asked to speak to the manager because now the door has been dented (by a snow plow) and the bottom of the door popped out of the door tracks. Because of this the door wasn't 100 % secure. Also the door wouldn't stay open when you were inside the unit. The door would fall at any moment. This was a huge safety concern. There was no manager to be found but their was a regional supervisor. She told me that the last manager moved back to the lower 48. I explained all my problems with the unit and she told me someone would fix it. She took down my information and said she would call in a few days. She finally called about two months later asking when I was available to meet someone to fix my unit. I told her that I wasn't available during the times she had available. The times were during working hours. It would be super inconvenient for me to get off work for this. Finally we agreed to a weekend and a time. I met the repair man at the date and time we agreed on. He examined the door and agreed with all my complaints and said it was not as secure as it should be and that the door was dangerous. But he did not have any tools or parts to fix it and I would have to reschedule. This was the last straw for me. I found different arrangements and canceled my unit. I would never use Uhaul or recommend them.

My only issue was that the autopay did not always work so I would be charged with late fees on a regular basis and no one at the facility would assist. I had to get assistance from the national helpline but even then it was a repetitive issue.

My unit was 1078. As you can see most winters I could not get to my stuff. You would think that if it was impossible to have access, receiving a credit for every month would be simple. It was not. In the end, this year when we cleaned out the unit most of the stuff had to go to the dump. So I'm sorry, below average. Thank you for asking.

So it all started in the morning I had to wait almost 15 mins in line which I wasn't all that mad about the employee was working alone which I understand but I sign up and get my storage unit I go up to check it out and there's already a lock on it... so I go back down stairs wait in line again for another unit go back up and check everything out and all is good so I go back and get my things from my place and drive back at about 415 they close at 5 so plenty of time so I go to swipe my card and "access denied account suspended " so I had to go back in the office and wait in a long line again for them to not to even find me in the system! The employee goes and gets his manager Roy who after awhile finds me in the system but the employee signed me out of my unit so I have to do all the paperwork over again... after all that the issue still isn't fixed I still can't swipe my card!! So I get done with everything and have about 10 mins to put all my stuff up on the second floor unit and I finally finish at 5 on the dot and I'm walking out and I was locked in! I wave down the employee and he laughs at us!! But he finally lets us out and tells us he locks up at 5 and we need to do the 24 hr access if we want to stay late but if it wasn't for them screwing up my paperwork I would have been long and gone before 5... I am already looking at different storage sheds because of how awful my experience was in just one day! Something needs to be done here it is a Mess!!!

I went looking for heated storage and the manager got me into a unit quickly. The prices are competitive, and when I went in they were running a "first month free" deal. That's pretty great. After getting me set up with a rental unit, the manager assisting me walked me over to the heated storage area and explained how and when to access the space. The place was clean and well-ordered. This is the second time I have rented storage from this location and both experiences have been very good.

My unit was broken into and items were stolen. I purchased a new storage unit needed a larger one. My ex had set up my old one. When setting it up the GM said oh it insured. Come to find out my ex husband put it under the homeowners insurance when it was under his name a plan that no longer exist. The GM didn't even ask me or look just set it up. Over 1k of electronics were stolen. Had no insurance. An alarm goes off there they shut it off. Employees don't even bother to check to see if there's any suspect behavior going on. That's probably what happened to my unit.

My unit was broken into. Missing 3000 dollars worth of stuff. Pulled u it had a red lock on it. Guess they put that on for people who don't pay. Well they apologized for the error. Opened it up all my TVs, cookware, kids toys were missing. All the boxes were torn through. Unit trashed. Food wrappers. Cigarette butts in there. Never again will I use uhaul.

So the staff was helpful, but nothing worked, the card scanner in the customer service area didn't work, so I had to do a pin, then I they took me outside to try the pin there, and the pad hadn't been clean in GOD knows how long. It too didn't work. So I am unsure if I will be able to move in to my storage shed after hours this weekend. Then you had the woman on the 800# who didn't know what she is talking about, who didn't mind taking my money and my info but couldn't issue me an unit. So instead of being on hold again, and getting the 800# I drove into town to get unit issues. All over I would say everything added up, not so good experience. If a local storage company had been open I would have gone to them, 1) cheaper 2)local 3)they seem to take care of their stuff, and have it together. But out of desperation from a water leak that made the ceiling fall into my old place, I have no choice but to use you guys! I don't know why with this virus things are not being cleaned on a regular basis!

Marquis and another associate were extremely informative and helpful with my situation. I appreciate them. I also cannot express enough thanks for Jolene, who helped me in my peculiar situation. I want to say she showed understanding and grace and also gave me ample opportunity and resolve to settle my situation. Life happens to each of us, but I will definitely look forward to continuing business with UHAUL due to them understanding at a time that life was not so Simple for me.

The staff member who set me up did not understand the computer system, it kept giving him errors so it took forever to check out. I set up automatic billing with him yet I got a notice in the mail stating I was late paying the first month so I had to call back to get it fixed and that took too long. The worst is finding out that you don't pro-rate the rent so I paid for a full month but moved out early and you are now free to re-rent space 2222 and make money off of me and the new tenant for the same time period. Horrible customer service.

The only complaint I have is that several times, while I was within the facility, someone triggered the alarm. The noise was so loud that it made my ears ring for hours afterwards.

I had a great experience with my storage unit in Fairbanks. The only inconvenience was getting into my unit after hours. It was accessible from the outside but I wasn't allowed in.

They appear to be very understaffed and the staff are frustrated and overly stressed. The U-box I had delivered was never checked in bc no one knew how to do it . I had to go there & look myself.

Moved out July 28, 2018. Unit 1067 had standing water in it. Mold crepping up the back wall. Our furniture has mold now. Staff person uninterested in our complaint about this.
