I had to call the national number and the nice lady gave us the right number..and we originally went to the front st location and there was a note in the door directing us to the Chenango st location where we had to redo my application which I had already done on line.. I know very confusing to me as well….but finnaly got it straight.. thanks to me and the national number lady

There was someone checking the units while I was there and she seemed to not know anything. If it wasn't for the price I wouldnt have kept the unit. Customer service is very poor.

Someone had given away my reservation and no other unit of that size was available. I had to rent 2 smaller units, which is costing me a lot more. When I arrived at the unit I realized that I needed a code to get into the building. I had to call the office and wait 10 minutes for the guy to get out of the bathroom. Finally moved into the first unit. Upon arriving at the second unit I found it locked. I had to call the office again and wait for the guy to come with the key (at least I knew he was finished in the bathroom). All this was taking place while I was paying the movers by the hour. The manager, Jay, was supposed to follow up with me but I haven't heard anything back. No, I would not recommend this place to a friend.

She went out of her way to talk down, not only to me, but the other customers. Her behavior was some of the most unprofessional and disrespectful I've encountered. The other customers even complained to her about the attitude and lack of professionalism.

I never expected my stuff to be in such excellent condition, but it was like I had only been away for a few months. The staff -- and management -- were exceptionally friendly and helpful. If I were not on the other side of the country (California and Georgia), I would have kept my stuff in that same unit. If I ever do move back to Binghamton I will rent from that location.

The open lockers in my unit were not secure and there is no lock on the outer entry door. There was no working light in the unit. I did not feel safe accessing my locker. When I removed my belongings there was water damage and mouse droppings. Items accumulated in the common area of the unit and it appeared that the empty lockers were being utilized. This facility need to invest in an on-site guard and MUCH better security procedures.

I did however have a problem with the fact that having an indoor facility didn't seem to really protect my belongings from all the outdoor elements well, in fact many of my books were damaged. It also looks like my unit had been broken into or at least an attempted break in at some point. The security camera need my entrance door was broken. The gate got stuck open for hours once. Again, i have nothing but great things to say about the office staff though. Especially the manager. Super helpful.

But, having to wait almost 30 minutes to speak to someone when I phone what should be a local office but is just a national center is ridiculous. More importantly, your storage facility at 262 Front St in Binghamton has no office-it has been CLOSED for over 2YEARS!!!! Didn't someone tell you???? Even more important, 262 Front St is infested with both hornets and bees. I Was STUNG TWICE at the facility. Lucky for both of us I'm not allergic; otherwise you would be facing a serious lawsuit. I would never recommend this storage facility to anyone.

We ended up having to take our card to get out. I tried calling the facility but I was on hold for half an hour before I hung up. I am afraid I will be charged for the card.

Only issue is that there were too many reservations made on certain storage units and so we almost didn't get our storage unit, so there was some nervousness and headaches because of it. But I'm happy that we got all of our stuff moved in because I'm a college student heading back home for the next couple of months.

I filled out the application online I still had to go down and fill out paperwork to a different site. Got all the paperwork filled out wet to my storage unit ended up getting locked in the gates for about 2 hours cuz my password didn't work. When I did find my you and I it had a lock on it I had to go back because the phones were busy and nobody was answering. The guy gave me a key so I had to go back to the and it was the wrong key so I had to go back to the office and get another key. A half hour job turned into about 3 hours of BS. I was actually at work on the clock trying to do this during my lunch break.

There is Never anyone at the storage facility. I never moved in. I couldn't. There was a lock on my storage unit. Six days after I paid for everything in cash, the lock was still on my supposed unit. Disappointed.

I had done everything I thought required to change the account information, reserved everything but when I arrived to pick up my truck, it was not correct. Additionally, the gas tank was at 3/4 when I picked it up instead of 15/16.

I had to call because I did not get paperwork when I took the storage unit that gave me clear information about accessing my storage unit. There was never anyone at the facility when I went. The lines at the nearby facility I had to drive to in order to get information were always long. When I went to checkout I was told I had to wait a half an hour because there was no one available to help me. There was no way for me to contact the uhaul location by phone. They forwarded all their calls to the national number. I heard their phones ringing while I was there. When I was at the storage unit location and did not have an acccess number, the national number could not help me. The national.nimber could not even get in touch with the local office. Compliment- when I finally got to check out, there was a competent woman there who corrected the woman who was serving me. The woman serving me had said I would have to pay the full month even though I was leaving the unit after only two days of the new month. The helpful woman took the time to show the other bow to close my account without a charge. I was told the manager had gone home for the day. That's when I realized that the manager was the one who told me earlier in the day that I would have to wait to get checked out. He did not have his car and was unable to assist me at my storage location. This UHaul needs more training for customer service and some other way to work with customers at their storage location since the office there is never open. It is ridiculous that you say to contact the local storage facility to settle disputes.

When I got the new unit it was dirty with garbage and have black mold on the ground. When I called about it being dirty the girl on the phone told me to deal with it. I told her that it was unacceptable. She said nothing I can do and told me to clean it. I was in a pinch so I just cleaned it. When I gave the girl my card when I checked out of it she said "I hope you cleaned it good or well be charging you a cleaning fee." Extremely unprofessional and Extremely unpleasant experience the whole two weeks I had it.

After traveling back and forth 3 times for approximately 2 hours I finally got my correct storage unit. I am very disappointed. I hoped that U-Haul - being a well known storage company - would have better and more reliable service, but after traveling back and forth with the minimal effort from the workers I was provided in regard to my hopeful efficiency with U-Haul, I am sorry to say that I would definitely recommend local storage companies compared to U-Haul. I am incredibly disappointed with the service I expected as (once again) a reputable storage service. This U-Haul location had 2 workers, both strictly occupied with incoming clients and not readily able to handle current clients efficiently. I don't believe you should punish your workers as much as you should worry abt your service as a whole.

I sent an email two weeks ago aboht the free thirty days and have not received a response. Online reservation was easy once we cakled several people when no one was at the front street location. Signs were inadequate and did not make it clear what to do.

She stayed with me until I was able to get the issue I was having with my phone resolved so I was able to complete adding my drivers license. The in-person people at the store told me they could not help me and that I needed to do everything online. The man in the store made sure that I had the information I needed in order to process the reservation online. I do not know why the woman at the register was at work that day. She would not help me in person at all. Why was the store even open? Without the kind customer service person on the phone, I would have had to cancel my reservation.

Was sorry to hear of the problems we had at the starting point, was unable to do any thing about refunds, which I said was not his fault or problem. We where in and out of there in less then 5 minutes.

We bought units in an auction and there was so much rat crap inches deep in some units that I would never store anything there. Shawn and Nicole are great employees butt he place is a dump.. Chenango Street is great

Steve KoltunThis location is not up to U Haul standard and should be shut down. It is also a repocession operation and drugs are openly sold on the street.. Because of the repo operation, my tow vehicle, trailer, and car had to arranged in a curve. Further the trailer was not set up properly according to U Haul procedures. Your operator directed the damage to my car. The trailer equipment was defective and could not properly fasten my car. Further no one apologized or offered the $50 guaranty.

Mark ReedI was charged an additional fee of several dollars for being over the allowed mileage, even though I was actually 8 miles under the allowed mileage per my GPS and Google maps. Not a big deal, but the one minor negative for the moving experience that day.
Gary Dollardhave fuel tanks FULL, then they can much more easily be returned at FULL, this trying to figure out how much to put in so it comes up to 3/8 of a tank is nonsense.

I used a total of 53 miles so I used 20 miles that I paid extra for and they rest (70) miles I don't get my money back it kinda of a all well you lose kinda deal.
