There was no 4' x 8' cargo trailer available for one way rental when I arrived. The people at the counter took the problem to the manager who was able to make a trailer available. I appreciate the helpfulness of the clerk who waited on me and the manager who solved the problem.

todd wWhen I picked up trailer and brought it home, less than 5 miles away, I noted that the right tire was visibly low on air pressure. I checked the air pressure and it was 15 lbs. I checked for visible evidence of a nail, etc. and none was found. I inflated the tire to 50 lbs. and had no other issues over the course of 3 days. Trailer should not have been rented prior to making sure air pressure was correct.

Sharon FI've rented U-Hauls in the past, but never had this terrible of an experience. When I arrived, I tried to do a mobile check-in and the authorization took far too long, so I ended up just going into the counter. I waited in line for what felt like forever because the two older ladies helping those in front of me were very slow. In their defense, the antiquated computer system that they had also made the whole process so much slower. When it was my turn, the computer gave so many issues we ended up having to switch to a different one. In this day and age, that's just not acceptable. After all of that and being on a time crunch to meet the moving helpers I hired, I made it all the way to the truck parked on the complete opposite side of the lot to discover that none of the equipment I paid for was in the truck so I had to go all the way back multiple times just to wait a long time again to request the equipment which they then had to try to find for me. When I got into the truck, the floorboards were very dirty. Overall, it was not a great experience and caused me to be late getting back to get the move started. I'm not sure what's going on with that location, but seems like they need more or quicker staff and technology. Also, making the online approval process faster could've avoided at least some of the headache. Hope this feedback helps improve the process for future customers.

I should have stated that I was going to return the truck in 24 hours and returned it early and paid that rate versus estimating that Inwokd was returning in 5 hours and was an hour late thereby paying the penalty. Last, the truck was rented with a full tank of fuel however, I drove a total of 28 miles and had to buy 11 gallons of fuel to return it full. The math doesn't add up and I have the fuel receipt to support this.

Next I'll just go straight inside as the whole online process took a while too which you can't do ahead of time. Great idea but poor execution.

anna aThere was miscommunication when I made the reservation. I was asked how long I would need the truck I said I would probably be done early afternoon (I think I said 2). When I came in and picked up the truck my reservation said I would return the truck at 1. At no time during either reservation process was I aware that I was not renting the truck for 24 hours and if I did not return the truck when I thought I was going to be done with the truck I would owe another $50. I started getting phone calls and text messages when I was using the truck to bring the truck back or I would owe another $50. I ended up bringing the truck back late afternoon.

Gordon TThe truck I was provided was terrible. Brakes were soft and squeaked constantly. The exhaust system was in need of repair. Beyond being loud, the exhaust fumes came into the cab and made the riders nauseous. While I didn't drive the vehicle at night I did turn on the headlights for safety and noticed a headlight was not working. This equipment was old. Fix it or put it to rest. A poor representation of the brand let alone a bad ride.
David FIt was not clear where to pick up the uhaul. There were plenty of signs and arrows for returns, but I had no idea where to pick up or find the lock boxes until I luckily ran into a worker that was there before they opened. I also was prompted to scan the location barcode, which didn't exist. I could not get past that step without scanning. Luckily, the worker I ran into was able to find my reservation and process everything on his end. Otherwise, I would not have been able to get my truck until they opened.

Samuel N | Expérience généraleTina was wonderful in accommodating our needs after it seemed that I had booked a storage room but it was only a reservation and not an actual assigned storage room. The original 5x10 storage room that we originally booked also had a large structural pillar on one of the side walls which would have taken up a lot of the required space of the room so we had to move to the larger room which was probably just as well because we had a lot of stuff and didn't want to pile it up on top of each other. All in all it worked out really well for us. The one issue that we did have was that we drove 2145 kilometers from Canada and after we unloaded our trailer we then had to drive the trailer to the middle of downtown Dallas in rush hour traffic to drop it off at a rather unusual location which was very inconvenient considering we thought we would just unload at Plano and drop it off at Plano once we were done with it. At the end of the day it all worked out. Merci.

When I came to empty my unit around 11am there no electricity and the power would not be on until 5pm. There was no notification of this outage . This force me to empty my unit in a dark environment with no ac. I will mention my unit was on the second floor. I could not use the carts. I had to carry the boxes myself. I s add m 70 years old. If you think I had any thoughts that was good service think again.

Moving into my unit I discovered that I needed a second unit and the staff was able to accommodate me. I purchased two locks from U-Haul for my units and each came with two keys. A few weeks later a friend took a set of those keys to remove her items from my units. And she returned the keys to me. When I went to pick up the remaining items in my two units, I discovered that one of the locks would not open and I had to have a lock smith come out to drill out the lock and open the unit. It cost me $308,59 to open that unit. I was upset and I admit I was not very pleasant to the employees at U-Haul. However, the store manager, Leonardo Aguilu Carrion, did refund to me $50 for the "lock mix up". I don't understand why that lock would not open - when it HAD opened earlier. For this reason, I have to rate my experience as "poor".

We reported it to the office and they said we could move our items to another unit or we could use a tool like a hammer or screw driver to bang the panel closed every time we wanted to enter. As we had JUST moved in, we told them we wanted them to fix the panel. We left a key to our lock and asked to be called when it was repaired. We never received as call. We went to the office and they had no idea what we were talking about AND our account had been closed. After explaining, they found our key, notes about the unit and had to reinstate the account. Again, we left asking them to repair the locking panel. After that was finally taken care of, the flood occurred in which we lost the only valuable items we had in storage. We decided to move out, only to show up and find a notice that the building was on lockdown until further notice...having been given NO prior notice via email or any other source before clearing our day to move out. Then, comically we were informed that the rents would be increasing. Getting in touch with anyone in the office by phone is impossible. The ONLY time we were able to communicate with anyone was if we emailed "Jordan" directly. Worst experience we've ever had with a storage facility.

Originally the truck and trailer would have to be returned to the West McKinney location, very inconvenient, but after speaking another with attendant, Anna, said that "no" I do not have to West McKinney location. She was the most helpful and professional in all the attendants I was in contact during this 2 day ordeal. It was a nightmare during the West McKinney location and would never go back there. Anna, at the Plano location would highly recommend her for future promotions.

The truck was somewhat dirty, but I already prepared to wipe it down with wipes and the wipes were very dirty steering wheel and drivers seat. I also wore gloves to ensure safety with the virus I think the trucks need to be wiped down on the inside for safety. The signal light did not work and the truck needed an alignment. Did not discover until I had gotten on the highway and had a timeline to get to my destination or I would have returned. I reported These concerns upon return. Might want to check the truck out more thoroughly prior to rentals. The storage unit was also dirty. However, the staff member was so nice and did sweep it out and apologized for it being dirty.

I set up auto pay when I first got the unit, again after the first error, and AGAIN after the 2nd error. So 3rd time was the charm I guess. Also got the feeling the staff was quite nosey. Almost everytime I went to my unit a staff member showed up. My unit was on the 2nd floor, and one time I went to drop off some heavy furniture. Elevator wasnt working so I called the front office. The guy was pretty rude and said "you can use the stairs". Try moving a large recliner up those stairs by yourself. Likely wont use them again should I ever need to.
