timberly johnsonThis experience was absolutely horrible! You have full grown men who didn't know what they were doing and you couldn't understand them. The equipment was NOT up to DOT standards. The wheels were bald! The dolly frame was bent. The straps were worn out. The guy did not give us a secondary pin to hitch up with we had to buy a wiring pins for the uhaul that was supposed to be on the equipment we rented.
Ashley GiffordI was given a text that stated that the pickup was verified for 8a, but they don't open until 9a. There was a rep in store but refused to assist me because they were not open. I contacted online help and they notified me that I booked with TruckShare (24/7 unattended rental, so I was able to get the truck without any assistance and it was my fault that I didn't read closer that it was unattended) but had I ran into issues, the customer representative should have helped had I had further questions, not just shrugged and ignored me through the doors. When I finally got the key, I went to the truck and noticed it was parked so close to another truck that there was no way to enter the truck through the driver side and I had to enter through the passenger and have another person assist in backing the truck up because the mirror was touching the adjacent trucks mirror - it was close enough that had someone just backed up it could have easily hit the truck and knocked the mirror off. I was able to get the truck out of the space and be on my way finally. The interior of the truck was dirty and not well maintained and, looked like it hasn't had an interior wipe down in ages.

Demetrius and his staff (Jasmine) was more than accommodating and empathetic of the situation coming from Arizona and accommodating me through my transition back to Illinois. The facility was kept clean and organized excellent customer service from beginning to the very end. I am grateful that they were there for me in my time of need coming back home to Illinois. It made my return even more welcoming. I'm grateful… kudos to the staff in Park Forest U-Haul facility for super excellent customer service.

STACEY TUCKERMy only concern is that one of the female staff members I spoke with when I rented the locker was apparently not aware that only certain style locks that U haul sells/approves are acceptable. At that time I rented the locker, I explained I also had a different style lock (which I presented) that's different from U Haul's lock that I also wanted to use on the door as a 2nd lock for added security . I was told it would be ok. Much later (about 1 month ago) while I was away out of the state on business, I received a call from a male staff member at U Haul who explained I needed to remove the extra lock ASAP as only one U Haul approved locks could by use for insurance reasons . I explained I was out of state and would do so upon my return ,and did so as agreed upon my return weeks before closing the locker out yesterday. At this time I have no issues or concerns and expect no other payments will be drawn from my credit account on the 19th of this month . The locker was completely clean , cleared and undamaged when closed out.

VAUGHN HAYWOODThe desk person (62 year old small lady) was tasked with also hooking up the 6 x 12 trailer to our vehicle by herself. The poor thing worked with a "donkey" to maneuver the trailer to hook up to our hitch. It broke loose and flipped her in the air. She landed on her head on the pavement. She was obviously injured. When calling the manager to help he criticized her for not having the customer (me) to hook up the trailer. He finally arrived from another location and seemed quite annoyed with the little lady. This is uncalled for. They did not check for the correct license plate and later contacted me to provide that and comment on any damage that I noticed. A poor customer experience to say the least.

I told the staff over ten times that I had vacated and they still proceeded to contact me several times by email, phone, and mail. They also contacted my family member over 10x, which is embarrassing by itself but especially so if I don't actually owe anything. The unit was cool and all but the lack of communication and the outright bombardment of notices and calls would have me never suggesting this place, respectfully.

Which everyone was willing to help in anyway possible, offered me an apology for the inconvenience and quickly transfer me or refer me to another department however, upon speaking with manager who is very professional prompt to help hands-on knowledgeable, very kind most of all taking the time how to listen to specific concerns regarding my dispute's in my reservation to understand and resolve the miscommunication. I will only suggest a follow up, so everyone is on the same page along with a follow-up call to ensure the correct outcome for U-Haul and new customer.

If I should have to used another one of your storages it will not be a used up box truck. Also I had a problem getting thru the gate because of what ever reason my code will never work from the first day I arrived I always had to get one of the staff members to come out to open gate. Also for what you charge for rental it shouldn't be $50 dollars to cut a lock off especially when you don't allow them to cut lock off themselves. It was never disclosed to me that I had to pay a $100 deposit. My Granson waited at the Glenwood facility almost 30mins before he had to go "FIND" someone to assist him. The call center rep told me I could send a family member to check in as long as they had my email. Not the case, I couldn't get in my storage unit. I made 5-6 calls for two days to finally resolve my rental. Waaay too stressful!!! Completely UNBELIEVABLY SCARY even. My time, energy, money, etc were totally disrespected. The computers didn't even know what was happening. Rep didn't know which facility was 24hrs. I could go on and on….. I'm appalled. SMH臘♀️

There was little to no availability and your system doesn't match what is exactly available & what wasn't. I also did receive an access card, I was only given an option of a 6 digit code. The clerk when I arrived was there alone because a co-worker failed to show up so that delayed the process after an already long day. So due to the lack of storage space & professionalism, I will never refer this facility to anyone else.

Once the unit was actually located by myself, the door was broken and was unable to be opened. I walked back to the office, and the staff member told me that the unit next to it was empty to use that one. I walk back to the unit and that new unit was in fact not empty. I walk back to the office to have the staff member help with the door on the unit I was assigned and the staff member determined that the spring to the door was broken. They had no additional units and I had to sit in their parking lot calling different places in order to find storage, while having my moving truck there ready to be unloaded. Ultimately I booked with Extra Space storage whose unit was clearly in much condition and all doors worked properly.

Things took a turn for the worse as I needed help/guidance to get my car off the transporter. I was told that they would not be able to help due to policy. I was informed that they could get someone over to help but I would need to pay that person $20-$30 dollars. I felt as if I was being scammed out of money. I immediately got on the phone with customer service to schedule another location for drop off. I also canceled my storage unit and requested a refund (which I'm still waiting on the reversal to be applied to my account). The reason for this is because I didn't trust them, and I've never experienced this type of customer service from Uhaul. Uhaul has always been my go to for storage and moving needs. Please fix this issue!

The associate inside the facility was very helpful and she was able to assigned me a new storage unit that wasn't assigned to no one else. She made the process very smooth and she was able to do it all while we loaded our items into the storage unit once we were finished loading up she came outside with the correct paperwork showing our new storage unit number. I am beyond happy with the service that she provided she was nice and helpful and she completed the task in a timely matter. See the reason why I waited this experience at excellent. The online process needs to be updated so another customer won't be assigned a storage unit that's already assigned to someone else God for bid if they came after hours wants to facility with clothes then they wouldn't be able to load the items into the storage unit plus they would have wasted all their time loading a uhaul for no reason.

It was a mistaken late charge and I couldn't proceed forward with the rental until I paid it. She was compassionate and followed up to ensure it was resolved. I had a negative feeling about Uhaul and she turned that completely around. She is the reason Uhaul is keeping us as a customer. Great job!!

The unit I have has glue mouse traps all over so I can't use the space in the corners! Also I don't want mice in my belongings! I'm going to find somewhere else because this is disturbing and is also prohibiting me from full use of the space. Unfortunately, I had no other choice in the moment because I couldn't find another facility on such short notice. I would not recommend this site.

My debit card was compromised and thus my automatic payment was declined and before I knew what had happened I was already fined and my back up person was contacted. No one bothered to see what the issue was, and it was my first occurrence . I have a high credit rating and rarely miss a payment on anything. In fact had this not happened i was going to open up a second unit. I will be staying at the other facility instead. I've been with them for 30 years without any issues.

Didn't get the truck I originally reserved an entire MONTH in advance. The storage unit I requested a month in advance wasn't available either. There is a pandemic and THEY DIDNT CLEAN THE TRUCK AFTER THE PERSON BEFORE ME. The previous customer pulled up and they told me that this was my truck. Worst experience ever. Who cares about convenient hours. Who cares about a near facility if you can't get my reservation right after an entire month. Never again U-Haul!!

STEPHANIE ESPINOSA | Premières impressionsI was happy with U- Haul staff however during the corona epidemic I could not enter the building without wearing a mask lights is completely understandable but when I got in the building nobody else had a mask on none of the staff had mask on so why not understanding what the situation is also outside the building people were parking everywhere walking everywhere and your staff outside the building there were tools all over the ground air hoses everywhere I've tripped massive x almost fell and nobody said or did anything about it and I know there's a lot of people in this world these days if they get hurt on your property they will sue you I would recommend U-Haul to a friend however when I clean my unit out there was rat feces everywhere I was told I have to sweep that out that's not what I was storing that's not my garbage I didn't bring them there I know I didn't and I even put repellent and stuff down before I move my stuff in so I'm not understanding what I'm supposed to do I have to clean everything but I put in there again everything and that's costing me money and time so I paid to store my stuff there and then when I get it to where I'm moving to I have to open everything outside shake it and then clean it and make sure I'm not bringing any mice or rats or bugs home thank you very much I appreciate U-Haul staff was very nice to me they talk to me with respect and manners and they were very nice thank you
