Kerrie RI've rented the same 15 ft truck #1525 2weeks in a row. 1 forgot to mention after the 1st rental that the passenger outside door handle is broke. To enter, the door must be opened from the inside.

Charles VI was originally scheduled to drop off at Sierra Transportation LLC located at 3327 W Carson Street, Pittsburgh PA 15204 and when I arrived there I could not find anyone to help me. The building was empty and there was only one space for me to back a trailer in and it was tight so I was not going to even try. So I called the U-Haul dealer at the following location and asked if I could change the droppoff location and he said sure and to come on over to his location at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Pittsburgh North Shore at 1200 Western Ave, Pittsburgh PA 15233. This new location was much more to my liking until the man that I talked to on the phone came out to assist with unhooking the trailer. He started in right away about how I might be charged a redestination fee and now that I am dropping this trailer off at this location that someone might be out of there trailer at the other location. I listened calmly but then said that there were other trailers over there and he proceeded to call me a smartass! I kept quiet at that point, he unhooked the trailer and I was working with his female associate at that point. I told her that I was sorry and didn't mean to come across like a smartass. She then told me that she was not charging me the redestination fees so I left. It is very obvious that the male manager with the attitude has extensive knowledge and experience but he needs to check himself with how he talks to people. I am not one to get offended easily but I did with this guy. Just wanted you to know.

James DYou charged me for three gallons of gas despite the fact I only travelled 6 miles! The gage was marked at 7/8 when it was only 6/8. I didn't say anything at checkout because I assumed when you saw 6 miles you would know I didn't use 3 gallons. The employee who received the truck asked if an emailed final receipt was ok. I assumed it would be $49 and didn't expect $66!

From my first call to U-Haul through the actual move, arrival of possessions, and subsequent storage of same, EVERYTHING was 100 % spot on perfect. The manager, Dave Geary, took such EXCELLENT care of me. The facility is spotless and very well maintained and the staff was very courteous and helpful. No problems with anything from beginning to end and that's unheard of in the time we live in. If you are looking for storage, look no further, I just found the perfect place for you in PA!

charles gThe truck i rented was the worst truck i ever rented from U-Haul. It reaked of cigarette smoke, it had no power and when it was full of boxes and furniture it hardly moved. Due to it not working well, it used more gas than it should due to lack of a good engine and all. I notified the assistant manager upon my truck return and was met with indifference and non-caring attitude.

I was in the middle of completing the instructions, taking photos, when the app closed abruptly. I couldn't get back to where I was. I called U-Haul's main # and was transferred to Truck Share 24/7. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes, a rep answered. She said I had completed the truck return successfully and there was nothing more for me to do. I wish this confirmation would have been conveyed on the app. I spent a good 15 minutes waiting in the store parking area unnecessarily.

david pThe service elevator doors close too quickly. We had multiple trips with 3 carts per trip. Had to hit the open button multiple times to load and unload. Besides that everything was excellent.

Md-Belayat HWhile this location is not the easiest to get to driving a large truck, the staff was very friendly. I explained to the the smell of the cab and ashes in the cupholder prior to renting and the employee assured me that I would not incur any charges due to this. The drop off process was easy and well marked.

But, we were pleased to see that we have moved back to an area with some genuine customer service and sense of being helpful and nice. Thanks! The lack of that is one of the major motivators for us leaving NYC. So thanks for being a warm part of our transition to the area and giving us a hand with things.

I booked the rentals through my corp account but for some reason it went through my personal and thus I was charges 0,2/mile more. I called multiple people on the corp side and I got nothing. Over the last few years I spent thousands of dollars here, and going forward I will only use Penske or Budget.

Marla M | Premières impressionsThe facility itself is nice, clean, and safe. However it is a bear to navigate the parking lot in order to park for loading and unloacking. They keep WAY too many trucks and trailers on the property - Fender benders are bound to happpen. Also --- The Uhaul storage contracts work differently that other storage facilities that I have used previously. They refuse to prorate and give a portion of the rent back for unused days. For instance if your contract runs the 4th to the 4th of each month and you move out on the 10th. The full monthly amount paid on the 4th is kept by Uhaul even though only 6 days of rental was actually used. This does not seem reasonable to me. There are lots of better, cheaper options with better customer service out there.

I had a lot of challenges to overcome that day with my first time moving out and having another storage unit not work out. Then issues with not being able to secure an 10" U-haul. I called and spoke to Calvin and while on the phone, one became available and he helped me with that process. They had everything ready for me as soon as arrived. The evening time, the young man working was extremely helped and friendly with showing me the unit and how to navigate it. And I had some small hiccups with the return and their team was flexible and I really appreciated that. I worked in customer service and I must say I have never seen a team go the extra mile before until I came here. Truly thank you North Shore U-Haul Team!

The employee had to come apologize to me for her manager. & the whole company. For me it was a very horrible experience at this location located at 1200 Western avenue Pittsburgh PA. The Manager threatened to make sure that I could never use U-Haul again ever in life at any location. I have never experienced anything like this with using any U-Haul associates, at any location. Some of my items were stolen. (Jalen) which is one of the associates told me that they cannot search the camera unless they have a warrant for it. Please be advised that Jalen was one that was most helpful. In fact the young lady jaylen apologize for everything include her managers behavior. All I wanted to do was move my things out the storage stress-free as much as possible. The manager wouldn't help. I'm going to need some help because some things which were in my storage were stolen. I did have insurance. Please give me a call to see how I got resolved this issue at 929-272-6842

But Blake went above and beyond, had a kind personality, and seriously I think the nicest worker I have ever had an interaction with at a store. That man needs a raise because he goes above and beyond. He also explained absolutely everything in a very simple language that made me feel like I completely understood everything about the facility and the security that it offers.

The team at the 1200 Western Ave facility is amazing!

NUNURAI M | Expérience généraleI reserved a unit near me. When I went to pick up the cargo van from that location they said they didn't have any 15' units and hadn't had any in months. WHAT!?! Why would you allow me to reserve one that didn't exist?!?! Thankfully, the next closest location had 1. But we had to hurry to get there in time to get it. It was well over twice as far away. Not good for mileage costs (and fuel). It also cost us precious time. When we got home, friends were waiting to help us load. My husband and I went to unload. We went back and forth with the carts, and we loaded them up and started to go back in, but the doors were locked (10:00 snuck up on us)! With all of the automation, why is there not a "we will be closing in 15 minutes"announcement?!? So we had to put all that stuff back in the van! The next morning, hubs had to work, a girlfriend of mine came and we got the van unpacked. I have a torn rotator cuff ... and had to do more lifting than necessary because the doors locked on us. I will never recommend anyone use uhaul storage. If they must, I will tell them not to reserve it online.

I had the smallest unit for 75$ a month and the 1st one I had had a huge pole in it. The staff changed it for me after a couple weeks though, so I'm grateful for that. Jacob M | Online Move InAfter I was falsely reserved a unit at a different facility online, I was told this facility was the only one available after I showed up to the originally reserved unit with a full truckload to store… This unit is a good distance away from my intended unit, making it inconvenient to use as needed and desired. Plus, I still had to pay for the extra miles that were put on the uhaul truck rental… which, looked, smelled, and felt like it was not cleaned or sanitized for a couple of years (should not be the case during a pandemic…). This all happened after I was sent to the wrong facility to pick up supplies. Luckily that location had what I requested, but I purchased and opened a lock that was not needed, because the unit I was eventually sent to had free locks… Overall, I will try my best to not use or recommend uhaul moving forward.

On the last day of moving out, one of the guys on shift was very rude, he's a bit oldish. Talk to him 2. On another day, a Saturday, your staff was also rude because of parking at this facility. 3. Your main office sent a letter to my brother in Canada about my storage facility...you could have reached me via phone or email, I was paying you on time, why did you have to contact the secondary person on my papers as if I was running away from you? TOTALLY WEIRD! 4. I think the price is fair, just your staff is very rude sometimes. 5. Sometimes you call, nobody picks up.

We returned with a large load of heavy furniture only to be blocked from entering into the lot by a large U-Haul truck some idiot parked blocking the entrance. There was a woman and her family blocked in the other side and couldn't get out. My husband and I had to unload the furniture and squeeze past the truck to walk or heavy belongings very far to get to the entrance of the storage units. Unbelievable! We were on time restraints and this really messed us up along with making us extremely overly exhausted. We actually damaged some of our furniture just from not being able to physically carry the stuff properly that far anymore. Highly disappointed! They need a better system.
