Weather had trouble opening the lock and was told to go and get one of those blow torch hot things so I can open the pad lock pad well if I'm storing my stuff at that facility you guys should have that available so people can get in and out without any trouble due to the extreme cold weather. The bill kept going up even though I only use the storage unit for about six months within that six month. The bill went up almost $15 from the time I got the facility. Other than that great thank you

I was disappointed to see that nothing, no signage, was prohibited smoking in the van. I will not rent from Uhaul again, as I cannot deal with smoke-smell.

ANDRE COOPERWorkers are always friendly and willing to answer questions. Facility is exceptionally clean. I never have to worry about rodents or bugs coming home in my boxes. This is the third time I have rented here, and will definitely use in the future if needed. I even referred my sister and brother-in-law, and they now rent there too.

There are two yards much closer to my house but I was notified the equipment was only available at a yard 11,5 miles. That is a 23 mile round trip that I had to pay for. Ask the guy in the Rt 59 yard that dispatched my rental equipment and walked away. NO ORIENTATION whatsoever. There was snow and debris in the trailer and snow in the bed of the truck. The driver's side floor was muddy/dirty. Worst of all; he added two miles to the odometer. By the way; I have pictures.

I explained the issue to the the attendant who said this is a known issue for this type of van and will do something about it but he still charged me the double amount I paid.

I thought it was extra nice that they provided carts for customers to use to help move things from the truck to the unit and vice versa. If I ever need a storage unit in the future, I will definitely use this location again.

Alic Tiltu | Expérience généraleWith a 10 foot truck and towing trailer, I booked a a 10 x 10' storage space in Bolingbrook Illinois. After payment, it showed that they made the reservation in a different city and a smaller unit. The first representative said she could not cancel the incorrect Location contract. She told me to go ahead and book the correct location of Bolingbrook Illinois and that I would have to drive to the other city to make the cancellation. Later I attempted to speak to a second representative. This representative stated that she would be able to send a message to the incorrect location to have them cancel the contract of the wrong location. After I booked and paid for the contract for bowlingbrook, I received an email stating that my Bolingbrook contract was canceled. I had to call a third customer service representative and tell them to cancel once again the incorrect location. She was able to cancel the contract for me. By that time I decided to no longer do business with U-Haul storage. I found another company that was half the price and easier to manage making reservations with.

They were unable to provide me with the truck, but helped me get one at the next closest location. Very pleasant to speak with. To Uhaul, just add some help and you would have 5⭐️'S from me.

Larry Re | Premières impressionsApprox 2-2,5 weeks prior to my move i RESERVED 2 10x10 storage units at the Plainfield facility, I filled out paperwork and was given some instruction on what to expect. The young man at the counter told me not to come back until the day of my move so my free month would start on that day. June 22 came and the movers and I worked all morning. I got in my car followed by the moving truck. When we got to the facility i was told they did not have my original 2 reservations, only the one I made the day or two prior thinking I needed more space, I was horrified since I had to be out of my house and close on my sale by 6/28. My entire house was in this truck. The movers moved ALL my things into one unit since it was climate controlled. Meanwhile the manager said there was nothing he could do about this situation. He gave me an outiside unit, which I accepted since I had no choice. I will never recommend this facility again. Why take reservations (they had just given mine away) if you aren't going to honor them. I did everything they asked, Moving is stressful enough without this facing you at the end, I did call the national U-Haul office and spoke to Laura in customer service. She was friendly and helpful. She was sending a notice about my complaint to the manager of the Plainfield facility (which I said would do no good since he allready told me there was nothing he could do) and to someone at the U-Haul National offices. Here I was at 73 years old, moving all my things and trusting U-Haul to take care of them, and U-Haul couldn't even keep track of my reservation, let alone honor them. I will now have to hire the movers again to move half of my things out of this unit and into another one that is also climate controlled. I am on social security and this move was very expensive, let alone paying the movers twice. All in all I was handled poorly and am not happy about it. My number: 630-881-2840

We paid to have a container brought in and we paid in advance for movers. On the day of the move the manager recinded the approval and we lost about $300.00. We had to move out of the storage in our cars which took 2 days. This was concerning because we had seen other people have that privilege. The lost of time and money is unfair.

Ted O'Sullivan | Expérience généralei made reservation of 2 units of 10*15 a week ago before august 23, then my husband called 800 to add 1 more unit of 10*10 on top of confirmed preior reservation. however on august 23 4:30pm when i called Plainfield office to triple confirmed the reservation i was told they LOST one 10*15! And it was so close to five clock there is no way to reach out other available facility. on our moving day, it ended up multi small units to make up the size we need and one is not climate controled. i am worried the extra hours we work on the loading/unloading and the safety of my household stored.
