The person at the counter was very nice, however she was doing everything. They are understaffed.

Paul BI rent U-Haul cargo vans often. I got a new cargo van this time and it was by far the nicest I've ever used. So clean and had a great backup camera. I felt so safe driving in this van. Please switch as many as the older U-Hauls over to the new vans and trucks as you can!

EDWARD WThe rental van was in terrible condition. The backlight was cracked, and I didn't want to chance driving after dark. The rear side door was jammed because of previous damage, so the camera for backing up wasn't working properly. I had to fill the back tire with air on my return because it was extremely low. Why would Uhaul rent a vehicle in this poor condition?

Not only was this unsafe but illegal. And the manager of the U-Haul said it was not the fault of U-Haul so he would not compensate us!

NELSON SI rent a car, last week for 4 hours , before 4 hours I bring it back on time, the payment was $95.66, when I check my credit card, I see the company charges me 105.58. I can't understand that less 4 hours costs me $ 200 what ,tomorrow I'll go to the office to know exactly why they charge me. Merci
etienne wHave your employees park in a single parking spot so customers can utilize the other three you were actually parked in. Then try and avoid getting confrontational with customers when they have to park in a designated uhaul van space because the employees don't park correctly. Also, it'd be nice to get the inspection portion via text before getting the keys. It wasn't very pleasant to get waved down and brought back in the building just to be belittled by their own mistake.

Alberto DAfter being ignored and and having an employee tale customers out of turn we waited almost 30min for a pre-reserved vehicle. The vehicle was not cleaned by the previous customer or location. Then turn in process was a disaster. I was told just to leave the vehicle and they would get it checked in then threatened with fees if I didn't check it in. Not to mention the open exchange and concealment of firearms on the property by people wondering around the lot. No we will not revisit nor will we recommend to anyone.

Thomas JCorey, from the Abercorn location was phenomenal and really worked hard to help us out. We had a reservation to pick up a pick up truck at the Ogeechee Road location. When we called that location the day of pick up the guy on the phone was very rude and told us we didn't schedule the truck. We tried to understand what he was talking about since we had a text.message with a reservation number. The person on the call was very rude and hung up on my wife. He needs some customer service training or get a new job!

ATHENA JThis was the swcond location we had to go to. The original location in Bluffton and they did not hold what we rented so we had to go to Savannah. Very nice people at this location. However none of the extras we requested were available either. We had to drive back up to Bluffton location and get furniture covers. Which they were nice enough to comp.

CEDRIC CBetter maintenance of the vehicles. I hope that the truck that was rented to me was just one that fell between the cracks. And that the overall conditions of your rentals is up to par with what I've experienced with Uhaul in the past, which was good.

Vincent SMy original reservation was at the uhaul location on Ogechee Rd. I'm Savannah, GA. I got sent to Abercrorn because Ogechee didn't have my equipment I reserved. At Abercrorn the clerk made me a contract for the right equipment but wrong equipment number. She then made me a contract for a new one (vehicle tow dolly). After returning the one I had in my possession to a Greensboro, NC uhaul, I got a call from a uhaul in Richmond VA stating someone just turned in equipment there but it wasn't me. I had to explain to them that it was for the equipment from the 1st contract in savannah where they didn't have the right equipment number. Finally, the original location of my reservation on Ogechee Rd in savannah called me and asked me why didn't I come pick up the equipment. They completely forgot that I did in fact go there to get the equipment but they didn't have it and sent me to Abercrorn.

When I finally did get my things out there were dropping and bugs in my furniture so I ended up having to get rid of most of my things. I was not compensated in any way for the time I did not have access to my unit. There was a point where they put a lock on my unit because I missed a payment due to changing cards and not updating it. I made the payment and called to request the lock be removed. They said they'd remove it within 24 hours. I drove an hour and a half after 48 hours and ended up having to cut the lock myself. One of the young ladies in the office was rude when I asked her who I needed to contact about the inconvenience. I will never use U-Haul for storage again. Worst experience ever hands down.

There are times the cards they give us to swipe in and out don't work and yet again we have to wait long periods of time for something so simple. Uhaul also had never resolved an issue with a truck rental back in July of 2022, this shows how effective their customer service is.

The staff also closed my account on July 14, 2022 instead of July 13, 2022, the day I left the storage.

We opened the door and discovered water damage in the unit and a large box of personal clothing was damaged from laying in the water for who knows how long. I took pictures of the unit and there was white duct tape over this area, so that tells me there most likely had been water leaking previously, yet U-Haul rents the unit again w/o repairing the leak issue (taping it is like only putting a bandaid on it). We did not purchase insurance on this unit, didn't believe we needed to, if you take proper care of your facility. Obviously you don't and I expect to be properly compensated for the cleaning of the clothes with hopes of getting the musty/moldy smell out. I expect to be notified from U-Haul within the next couple days- if not, I will be following up myself.

Lakia has been an angel in trying to assist me but I still do not understand why I was given the incorrect date for such a time sensitive matter.

The weeds from outside began growing on the inside through the back of the storage unit. I had rat feces everywhere. I tried to donate much as I could of furniture items to Goodwill. I refused to take any of it into my brand new home. Everything else was packed and tossed in the trash. I can't believe I was paying for almost 4 years to throw everything away. It was horrible. The Uhaul truck was the only thing that was great. It didn't breakdown this time on me. I wish I could submit these pictures to show other customers. I paid on the 30th of every month which included late fees since my unit was due on the 12th of every month. I paid for Uhaul to deliver horrible services every month to me. I recommend Uhaul to upgrade the whole structure and treat customers items as they would treat their own.

helina b | Expérience généraleI was offered a month storage for free with my one way truck rental. I accepted the offer, completed the online move in process at which point I was informed everything was all set to move in. I even called the facility to ensure that if I were not available to move into the unit that my representative could do so if I had completed the online process. I work as a front line healthcare provider and had to work so asked my wife to move the contents into the unit. I gave her all the details to do so, including a screen shot of my confirmation. At the facility, the buildings were very poorly marked and when she asked the employee where the unit was, she was informed that the employee could not give her any information because the unit was not in her name. When my wife finally located the unit, with no help from staff, the codes we were given for access did not work. As I was trying to care for my patients, I was also having to try to handle this chaos over the phone with my wife. Finally, my wife forced to go back to the employee and demand assistance to access the unit. Ultimately, locating and accessing the unit took twice as long as actually moving in the contents. As an extra bonus, to complete the online move in process to the unit, I had to pay 99,95 even though it was supposed to be free for month. I called the location 3/25/2021 to request a refund of the 99.95. The automated system informed me it would be a 20 minute wait for a representative. After nearly 39 minutes someone came on the line. I explained the pricing issue and was told that someone from that location would call me that day. Needless to say, it is 3/29/2021 and I have still not received a call. I am currently waiting on the phone (23 minutes so far) to try to get this resolved. I am EXTREMELY disappointed and frustrated with the entire process and would appreciate contact from someone who can help me. You guys make a point to mention on the automated phone system that calls are recorded to help keep your promises made to your customers. I would like to see proof of that.

After renting a truck in another state, traveling for 2 days, and arriving expecting to check in with 0 issues this was the last thing that need to happen. U-Haul's system messed up my storage reservation and instead of leading with an explanation, she lead with attitude that was met with attitude. Aside from that, the other staff was super professional, especially Travis, who was actually able to articulate professionally all details about my unit check in process..
