I've been using U-HAUL for at least the last 35 years & have had motorhomes stored at your storage facilities at multiple locations. Your Casa Grande, Az. & the Sun Lakes store where I got a trailer hitch installed. Both locations have wonderful service & I have recomended them to everyone I know in our retirement subdivision for the last 8 years.
RICHARD FI have lived in Chandler for over 30 years and have always used the downtown location on AZ Ave. In my recent move to Sun Lakes I visited this location for a van rental. Helpful staff, well laid out and maintained return area, and a van that ran perfectly. I was completely satisfied.

Francis B | Premières impressionsThe RV storage road needs to be graded to level out the road to remove the deep puddles when it rains. It was impossible to avoid the puddles when removing the RV and so the RV was full of mud. The location was very convenient and safe, and we appreciated the cover.

Michael II attempted to cancel auto pay when I moved out. The attendant told me to call the Mgr the following day. In doing so, I was informed she is unable to see or open the account to do a refund. Told me to do a dispute with my bank is the only way to refund.

James SI do have a couple of issues. Gate to my RV area seems to "not" be working more than it is working. Either the remote doesn't work or the gate is up permanently for extended periods of time. My new 5x10 unit has nails sticking out on all of one side toward the bottom and sharp bolts sticking up from the floor about 1 1/2" out from the wall. This is not only a safety issue but it cuts out usable space which is already small and could easily damage my boxes as well. In addition the poison box screws up the logistics of the space. You need to figure out a remedy for these things as we pay good money to store there. I could have gotten a unit much cheaper elsewhere but I wanted to keep my stuff together beings my RV is there and has been for 5 yrs. I've addressed these issues with the staff and it appears they are always trying to fix the gate issue but can't seem to accomplish it for very long. The nails and bolts sticking out in the unit I'm told cannot be remedied. I don't fault the staff I've dealt with. These are issues that need to be dealt with at the top.

It was a nightmare. I almost had to Jack knife the trailer to get it in. Totally unsuitable. Please don't allow big motor homes that stick out of their space. Unfair and a risk to others.

I was also told that I was required by law to take the insurance(you offered) for my property. The truth is you must have insurance which I did under my homeowners policy. When I signed on the new place they actually told me about that. Yes it is written on your wall that this is optional insurance but that was not stated. I had never had a need to rent storage before so I was trusting your employee. I just notice that info on your wall until I came back to check out of my unit. When decided I needed to check around with other companies I found that your price was averaging about 30 more than any other company.

Went home with paperwork showing we had spot reserved. Showed up with camper on July 9 and the spot we had chosen was given to someone else. Why have us do paperwork on June 26th and reserve spot if you are gonna give the storage spot to someone else before we show up? We reserved it! So disappointed in u-haul. With zero notice we had to pick a different spot and it's very hard for us to get camper in new spot. Makes zero sense how they do business. So disappointed!

Trailer storage areas just basically dirty, dusty when dry and dirty, muddy and wet due to poor grading, and lack of clean gravel.

The first storage lot we were in the gate was always broken and we would find cigarette butts and small trash around our rv leaving us with security concerns. We moved to the other lot at a higher rental rate and from the time we moved in our space was muddy and never dried out. The last month we were there we were unable to access our trailer due to mud and it rained and flooded our space with at least 6 inches of water. The lot slopes inward to 4 or 5 spaces so all the water runs there. We tried to move spaces but there was never anything available so we finally had to move to another facility. The general manager was good about understanding the situation and did refund our last month rent as we had been unable to access our rv.

Because the area is so small, it is very difficult to back a 30' trailer into the spot, especially with a 21' truck besides, and all the while trying to avoid the structure poles, other units on each side, and the motor homes or trailers parked on the opposite row. We tried but had to cancel our contract and go to the much bigger Uhaul place on Hunt Road in SanTan.

Lilian T | Premières impressionsRented 10 x 25 foot rv space online for a move in date of 6/19/21. Upon arrival informed they have a 10 x 20 spot. Staff stated nothing they could do to help, take it or leave it. I had just purchased the trailer that day and had expectation it was to be stored in safe location. The spot was advertised as covered however 1/3 trailer was uncovered. I was able to secure a spot in a different storage facility the following day and moved the trailer less then 24 hours after we arrived at uhaul. I spent 120$ for 18-20 hours of storage in a site. The 2 young men on duty were poorly trained, one young man was trying very hard to find a solution but appeared subordinate to the second young man and that young man never looked us in the eye and simply said it's not our problem, the reservation system never works and does not guarantee you what you rented and take it or leave it. I trusted the reservation to have a spot to park my brand new trailer at, I could not just leave it on the street. Not many options late afternoon on an Saturday afternoon on a reservation I made well in advance

William M | Premières impressionsWhen I called regarding my reservation at a different U-Haul location and they told me my reservation was no longer valid because my spot was already taken by someone, I went into panic mode because my husband was driving back with the boat at that very moment. The staff at that other location was very cold and couldn't be bothered to try to make things right. I found this spot on a chance the next morning and called as soon as I could and spoke with Alisha Padilla who was extremely friendly and a pleasure to work with. Thank you for taking the time to listen to me and making my experience with U-Haul much better than the last one. When we got to the U-Haul location, Alisha had already left for the day, but two young men were there who were also just as pleasant and were very helpful. I didn't get their names, but they should be recognized for their exceptional customer service as well.

The covered area was only a partially shaded area. The lot is very dust & most campers are covered in dust. We have to wash them before you can use them.

I cleaned out the storage unit and turned in the remote gate opener August 28th. They refused to give me a refund for the 2 weeks I'm not in the unit. Not very good customer service. I will not use Uhaul anymore. I will recommend friends not use them either.
