My first 10' truck broke down. It took 6 hours for a tow truck to come and get me even though the location was only 10 miles away. The ignition switch in my second truck was so messed up I was afraid to cut the truck off. I had to leave it running most of the time that I had it just to make sure I could complete the tasks that I needed it for and to make sure I got the truck back to the original location. After all that I still got charged full price!

This crew working at this location is top notch. Easy explanation of the rental process on a truck. I only had 1 issue that was not their fault at this Thomasville location. The issue was that U-Haul main computer system was down and I could not access my rental until about 40 minutes after my guaranteed reservation time. I had a $50 reservation guarantee, and since it was not the locations fault but it was U-Haul's computer system being at fault, I believe that I deserve that $50 credit from U-Haul themselves. I want someone from U-Haul corporate to please honor this $50 credit that I deserve For not being able to follow through with my reservation, guarantee due to your system being down

I was charged approx. $12-13 for refueling by UHaul although I had filled it back to the amount of fuel it had when I picked it up. I assume someone read it backwards when I returned it when comparing the paper to the actual fuel gauge. Thankfully, I had taken a pic of the fuel gauge when I returned it. I sent my pic to one of the team members and supposedly I will be refunded the difference....but I have not seen it on my bank statement yet.

It was good in the beginning. I had 2 storage units for over 14 months. Towards the end of my time there, not as good. It became cumbersome to enter and exit the facility. You swiped the card to enter (check in) and if you exited with a cart of belongings and the door shut behind you, you had to swipe the card again (in 2 places) to check out and then check back in. It became a big issue while moving out 2 units. If you pressed the intercom button in the card machine, no one responded. Called to terminate my units. Was put on hold for 7 minutes until someone picked up the phone to disconnect the call. Called back a second time, someone put the phone down on a desk and I could hear conversations. Hung up after almost 10 minutes. Very unprofessional!

The only thing I'd note is that I did the online move in process, and when I arrived, I didn't have a lock or an access card in the unit like it said I would've. So I had to find and get my own lock that was good enough to keep my unit secure. I'm not even sure how to get my access card.

Had an issue with the lights on the trailer we rented not staying connected as we pulled away from U-Haul Moving & Storage of Thomasville. We returned to this store and they jumped right on the issue and quickly verified the car side of the connection was working and changed the pigtail to the trailer lights quick as lightning. This fixed the issue and we very much appreciated the quick service and support. Great people to rent from!

Keep the commitments that were made by the customer at the locations if a customer pre-pay, make sure that when their appointments are met and confirmed that the store and location can actually meet those commitments and requirements that have also been agreed upon. Telling a customer that if they wait that the installer may refuse to service them if you wait at the store is completely unacceptable when that was something that you chose is at time reserved your service.i would rate this store 1 star.

Cleaning the wheels on the Appliance dolly would have been nice. When I picked it up. The wheels had red mud on them. I ask the employee that was outside cleaning a rental truck return, if she could clean the wheels off. She stated that she didn't have any water only air. My concern was, I was going to be taking the dolly over carpet. I cleaned the wheels off.

Customer Rep needs to make sure that gas tank is actually what it says it is; I took a picture of mileage and gas fuel amount and it was no where close to what I was told when tenting the truck. However, the problem was rectified by a nice guy named Scott when I explained the situation and showed him my pictures. The truck was in terrible condition as well.

The trailer I rented had a faulty tire on left side and kept going flat. I had to put air in it 4 times in 24 hours. When I checked it in and notified them they told me they were aware of problem prior to me renting and admitted they should not have rented it to anyone with that tire. I feel I deserve a refund of my rental and if I don't receive a full refund I will never rent anything from u haul again.

The only reason I cannot give an Excellent rating is because I called and told the person on the phone that I would be moving out soon and was told ok the month would be prorated. Once I moved out I was told NO prorating. Therefore, a lack of communication from the front office leads me to an Above Average rating and that's because the facility was always clean.

Even though your vehicles are supposed to be non-smoking - the van smelled just like smoke, which gave me a headache every time we got in it. When I mentioned it when returning the car, he simply apologized. Secondly the the tire gauge sensor kept going off - which the store employee said they were aware of, but neglected to let us know prior to leaving with the van.

I was a little worried when I returned the truck. It had a lot of scratches on it and no sticker with the X marking these location. The site you go to and take pictures is a pain. Need a person just to come out and walk truck with you before and after. Other than that all good.

The experience I had at U-Haul was absolutely phenomenal the cleaning lady was amazing and deserves a raise the assistant manager was awesome and the general manager is my hero Communication was great any questions I had was answered immediately if there was any problems it was addressed would definitely recommend and would rent from them again.

Train your staff to be more careful with women. They don't have to be rude. They didn't even do paperwork for my move out of storage unit and I got charged for the unit after I cleared it out.

The only issue I had was my reserved storage unit was rented out by the automated system, but the staff quickly offered me an acceptable compromise. I did return the truck two days early and found out I couldn't get credit for those two days because it was a one way rental. I am not exactly happy about that, because we rented the truck four extra days due to my disability, but was able to get done early. No mention was made at time of rental or I would definitely have not prepaid but waited to see if I needed it as the move proceeded in real time. U-Haul took advantage of my need of a flexible time frame and has caused me to look at the company less favorably. I do however want to give credit where credit is due.. the equipment is first rate and attention to ease of use is commendable. Facilities and options available for storage are incredible compared to standard self storage across the market. Security well exceeds need and is priced affordably for the average consumer. Overall I am impressed with where U-Haul has gotten to, I am just disappointed with being taken advantage of regarding prepaid days. Sincerely, T. Tyner

I feel like there should at least be one sliding door unlocked after certain hours. But that's all I have to complain about. The staff that was scheduled 2/5/22 around 1pm were the MOST helpful and I definitely appreciate all of the work that was done! The staff were so friendly, well mannered and on point with everything!

Average overall experience due to instances were it was difficult to reach facility by phone, staff were curt on phone and did not give caller time to discuss a situation regarding inaccurate information given by staff unfamiliar with checkout procedures. Regular staff member did remedy the situation; however, phone etiquette is lacking.

I noticed roaches at the entrance of the storage but luckily none near my items. I did notice a couple of spiders in my boxes but nothing too upsetting. The staff is amazing overall especially the lady that comes in the evening around 4:30pm and stays to closing, who's short and ethnic. She's so helpful and I just wish I knew her name.

Im getting messaged about uhaul trying to charge my card without speaking me & I didn't get a call about it. I want it to stop for u be reported to bbb n whoever I can tell to get this store a bad review. I don't take to kindly for someone trying to charge my card for my 5 kids during covid unauthorized period. I got a promisary note n I got my things out of storage on the exact last day. So this uhaul place in Lexington nc better stop playing with me and they disrespected my mother when she was inquiring about my debt a woman of christ a cancer survivor and a lupus patient. Stope charging my card period

My unit was in temperature controlled area. Area was comfortably cool, with good lighting, and I felt safe. New lock was waiting in unit for my use. Carts were readily available for loading and unloading. Loading dock area had ample space for parking and height of dock was good for moving boxes from rear of SUV to cart.

I've rented from u haul before this in the past , never had such a bad experience as I had this time. Moved long distance, I was advised that a 15ft truck would be big enough for a 2 bedroom house, wow were they wrong, I had to give up 10 pieces of furniture. And was advised that a 10 by 10 storage unit would be big enough for storage, also not so. Had to get another unit. Do the math, you can not put 15feet truck into a 10 ft garage. I am very disappointed and unsatisfied with this and had a very bad experience. I never use u haul or I will not recommend u haul to anyone. I believe that I should be compensated for this, the loose of furniture and money.

Nothing wrong with the property. I needed a larger unit (5×15) and found a company that offered me that at the same rental price that I was paying at Uhaul for a 5x5. Only complain I have is I rented at Uhaul about two months ago and then received notice that my rent was going up. I understand that the manager has no control over rental prices going up but when you are on a fixed income like me you have to go to some place cheaper.

Everyone working there were very friendly and helpful at ALL times over the past 2 1/2 years. I have used other U-Haul's storage facilities, and none compare to this operation. I'm very pleased with my experience so far with U-Haul storage facilities. The door locking system is a bit tricky. It's just a keypad, but truth be told electronics intimidate and confuse me a bit. I've had to go to the manager a couple times for my own mistakes with the door lock. I will probably end up calling again. Thank God, they are so friendly and patient - even after hours. Overall, I would recommend and will probably continue using. Merci.

Sorry I would give it more but when I was moving my stuff out of storage. I found some water has got under my door, The door that doesn't roll down, but has a gap at the bottom. I guess from mopping or waxing the floor. I had some wood furniture by the door and when I went to go move it was stuck to the floor and some finishing came off an cracked the wood. So I was not happy!

Moved out of my storage early. They refused to allow any proration on the cost. I paid early every month for a year. Disappointed!!!

I was not clear on entering my code on the keypad outside the building due to the door automatically opening when I walked up. When I opened the unit of course and alarm sounded. I went inside to the desk where a young man did offer assistance. He gave me a keycard which still does not work and every time I go over to get something out or put other objects in the alarm sounds.

When I rented a truck they were very nice and helpful. We were in and out quickly. The truck was clean and we made two trips. Renting a storage unit was also easy and the staff was helpful and the unit clean. Accessibility was excellent with carts to use making unloading a breeze.

Only issue I had was when I turned in my key card I went up there twice. 1st time I was there for 20 mins & no one was in the office. Really need more people @ least someone to stay in the office.
