The app never works. Teaching your employees to great people with a smile, offer assistance. Not say they will be right with you then walk off for lunch. Once I got some help the employees were very helpful.
Lynne PageI'm in Washougal, Washington and I have to go to Fairview, OR. to pickup a tow dolly ? Then, I couldn't drop the unit off in Washougal, I had to take it back to Fairview. Time and fuel, Time and fuel. Otherwise the experience went well. Staff was great. The location on Hogan Dr. Is a high volume traffic area.

Toni ManningWe rented a truck $19,99 a day. I used it Thursday and Friday. Returned it Friday night. Had put in a little over a 1/4 of the tank. Didn't use much gas. They charged me correctly with a credit for putting gas in the truck.. (didn't have to she said) did it anyway. The following week same days to rent same truck charged me 70 dollars and we asked why he said nothing could be done about it. Seriously thinking I don't ever want to rent from you all again. McKenna was the girl 1st week. She was great! Not sure who the guy was 2nd week but that was a very bad experience
patti JacobsYour attempt to have customers pick-up and drop-off is a great idea but the process is extremely unfriendly to navigate. If one is a regular customer they "might" get the process figured out but I'm afraid it is just not friendly. If I was to discuss with someone whether to use U-Haul I would definitely steer them away from the online check out and check in. As it was, I had to get someone to help me both in pick up and check out and pretty much wasted my time and the time of your workers.

Even though I did check in online, I was told "sometimes it doesn't save"and I had to answer the same questions when I was at the counter that is already answered online. This location, while popular, often is under staffed, resulting in lines. Also it is hard to get in and out of.

Jacob RoessnerI have rented from U Haul in Gresham Oregon for over 10 years and have alway received outstanding service. Please let people know about the Safe Trip Insurance that covers towing. I always get the full coverage Safe Mode insurance that covers the truck, and never have been informed about the additional Safe Trip Insurance that covers customer caused incidents, like getting the truck stuck in my driveway. I never knew the full coverage insurance did not cover this outlandish price! Please inform customers how much a tow will be so they are informed, especially an older woman alone. My $108 rental cost $523.

This made my experience not a pleasant check out. I had to take lots of pictures that I would not have had to take. The person we dealt with was a real good and professional sale person.
Rick HargittI rented the truck in the middle of the big freeze in January 2024 and to be honest at the time I rented the most hazardous area was the U-Haul parking lot, a few bags of sand would have done wonders for customers and employees alike. But to be fair no other businesses appeared concerned about customer safety either
john wigginsKristi and the general manager I spoke with at Gresham last night were very nice but everything else about my trip was awful, the U-Haul broke down, the sales guy TJB or TBJ whatever his name is, at Gresham OR U-Haul was an ass and he didn't help me or tell me that I needed to do things like a picture walk through before I left the lot, and he just set my dolly on the sidewalk and left us to load them ourselves and told us the wrong direction of the one way lot to drive us straight into traffic in a 15 foot U-Haul Kristi was amazing 10/10 service from her this morning Gresham OR, storage of U-Haul Gresham 3/10 The guy that helped us TJB wouldn't let us deliver it at the initial reservation of washougal Washington where we moved, so then we had to cross the river back into Oregon to deliver the truck back to him for an extra 40 miles at rush hour and the truck broke down at the gas station He claimed it would've been more expensive to take it where I wanted to and would not let me object, told me and I quote, "that's not what you want to do, this is what you're doing" and asked for the card when I had already paid online and he had lost the card details, he also wore sunglasses inside so I couldn't see his eyes fully and I still saw him roll his eyes multiple times, I will never do work with Gresham U-Haul neither will my entire family because of how unhelpful TJB was (I don't remember the exact order of the letters in his name but it was TBJ and three letters, he was blonde, average height) I also have scoliosis and a back brace so my 50 year old mother had to load the dolly in the back of the truck facing the wrong way in the Gresham parking lot one way lane Absolutely unsatisfied with the fact that I had to spend 200$ when I was quoted 135$ for my one way 30 mile trip and I'm disabled on a very strict budget and then had to sit in the broken down truck in the freezing cold for two hours while we waited for a tow with an empty truck, forty minutes from our house where my mother had to stay up and wait to drive us back to washougal, all because TJB wouldn't let me stick to the original quote even though it was completely viable and I wouldn't have had to deal with any of this crap.)

Raymond EppleyEverything worked out great. The only thing that glitched was when I went to return the vehicle, I used the mobile app to return the truck after the facility had closed. I made it all the way to where they charge my card and send me a receipt, but when I went to go load the photos of the interior and exterior of vehicle, the app glitched and when I got back into it, the app said it was completed. So I did pay and get the receipt, just didn't get to upload the photos...so I hope all is ok on that end. Other than that, everything was great...I do like that we can do everything through the app, even though it glitched!
Megan VerdoornThe van was clean, ready to go and easy to handle. The mobile pickup process did not go well. Ahead of the pickup time, I had set up an account and entered my driver's license number. While I was at the U-Haul lot, the app still required a lot more. It would have been better to allow me to enter my ID photos and the additional contact's information before picking up the van. That said, your employee, Wesley, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient in getting me on the road. The mobile check-out process was great.
Deborah OlsonThe parking situation is horrible. Finding a place to park during busy times is near impossible. I don't see a solution to this problem. However I did note that there were areas blocked with cones that could easily been used for customer parking.
Susan RipleyI received top notch service when picking up my trailer. I believe Chris was who helped me at this location. He had to get the trailer and attach it in the rain. Before I was ready to go, he realized an error in my order and promptly corrected it so I could get on the road. This is a larger store and had plenty of moving needs and U-Hauls available.

We unfortunately lost something important. We realize we are responsible for getting everything out, but oversights do happen and it is unfortunate there was no attempt to reach out to us either by email or phone message. Customer service/ kindness is invaluable.

I moved out to a smaller less expensive unit elsewhere. The maintenance on the trucks is my biggest issue. Truck used to move in had a radiator leak and over heated during use. The truck used to move out dropped the drivetrain while driving on the freeway. Scary experience!! They dropped all charges but didn't pay for the Lyft I had to order or the miles I had to walk in the cold, pouring rain to get off the fwy.

Otherwise, I know they are doing their best in spite of a shortage of coverage. I felt bad because they were always running and overwhelmed and THAT IS NOT RIGHT. We are human beings, and no amount of money makes up for stress, injury, working away from family for overtime. I have been a patron since the establishment was built, and it is where I go when I need trucks or storage. I pray you get more help.

To get unit discussed I arrived to find unit being given to different customer. It was only unit of that size. Employee said "nothing could be done about it and I could go elsewhere miles away" in the end I had to purchase a smaller unit which will be difficult to fit all the property into.

No one really seemed to car. I paid a lot of money and my stuff would have been safer if I left it on a street corner. Will never use this storage facility again and am telling all of my friends not to use it either.

It appeared that mice came in through two different holes in the unit and left urine and feces all over, as well as a few dead mice. I know for certain I did not have any perishable items that would cause this issue. It was all furniture and appliances. I would not recommend this location for your storage needs, I basically paid to have my items pooped on- gross! Now I'm in the process of making an insurance claim, just a big inconvenience overall.

You would most likely Make Money this way while eliminating the current issue of being dbl charged for over flowing dumpsters. That same plan outline would work for electricity use and or access to even if only on a monthy basis. Sometimes the only spare time I have to get something out, in, or clean my storage unit is after dark and having had both an inside and outside unit I would have Gladly Paid to rent electricity so I could plug ina light to see wth I'm doing. Please consider these requests....

When asked about the free lock, because it says on the website multiple times - free lock with a rental. He could not handle the customer service and said, No! That is not how we do it here. When we got to the unit. There was a lock inside. He scooped it up. I said again. The website says there is a lock included. Again. He said no. We do not give out locks. From my experience it your website states something, you honor it.

General manager was over and beyond great through when we found out my storage was over ran with rats. I had to throw away just about everything that was store in there. I was told it was great security but twice I have gone to the storage unit and the entrance gate is wide open and then when I got to the door to enter my section of storage I didn't have to scan my card because the door was open both times. I didn't feel very secure. I do have a lock on my unit of course but I was told everything was going to be shut and you had to use your card to enter the gate and then into the door

Locksmith was gonna cost more than the 165 I paid a month. Luckily we found a way to cut it off. No thanks to uhaul. So instead of continuing with uhaul I emptied and left. Only positive thing was the refund. Will I use uhaul again for storage....NO!

terry Smith | Premières impressionsI rented the space in the morning and returned with a small utility trailer full of belongings. The outside doors to the indoor storage spaces were open and unlocked, not secure. The space I rented was not the size advertised. Supposed to be 5'x10' and was actually 3,5'x10' with a raised area across the 10' width of half of the total space of the floor looking like a bench, which greatly minimized the floor space. In addition, when we opened the door to the space, a large piece of ceiling sheetrock fell down from the ceiling, barely missing my head. Again, a large open space in the ceiling, not secure. Not acceptable. Also, there were steep stairs to the second floor, no elevator, which was very inconvenient. There were no other units available so we ended up taking our trailer full of stuff to Public Storage facility. Luckily we found a space at the last minute and we were able to move our load into that space that evening. The staff are all great and manager Cody is wonderful. He really helped me with an early appointment to have a hitch installed on my Highlander. And, I rented the storage, with the first month free. I appreciate everything they did to help and they were super busy but took the time to fully assist all their customers. Our area is under various levels of evacuation orders due to wildfires and we are all trying to safeguard at least some of our precious belongings. Cody and the staff are working extra hard to help people and I don't think that the condition of their storage adequately reflects their good works. The storage facility seems to be in poor condition and needs renovation including an elevator so that it meets ADA building standards for public access.

Rose Kahnau | Expérience généraleWe had a 400 mile move to make, equipment was selected online with no problem, felt comfortable selecting insurance and roadside assistance a sit was very affordable. The equipment performed perfectly and was a good ride and fun to drive. The assistance at the distant end was amazing considering it was a Saturday and everyone was checking equipment in and out. I got a storage unit that was perfect for was we needed, however, the access is limited to daytime hours as the door was not set up for the card access. I haven't used u-Haul in a few years but distinctly feel there is grand improvement in personnel, equipment and service.

The reason they wouldn't get 5 stars is because the reservation system is not functional. I reserved one large and one medium unit a month before or 1000 mile cross border move. When I called to verify a week before the move, they had no record of my reservation even though I had been given a number. So I reserved again and to my dismay we were contacted during the 40 hour trip to say thre was no large unit. Both times I was left to feel I had done something wrong, though I had talked to multiple people and left a credit card number. We had to reschedule our movers and fortunately we had been given extra days in Canada on our 26' truck. We found storage at another facility in the city and unloaded three days after the original plan.

They've been gentle and understanding to those of us that have lost our sources of income and are unable to pay our storage dues. I stayed in contact and gave them updates on my situation and each time my news was met with kindness. Mentally & emotionally this has been a rough time for soooo many reasons but I appreciate the U-haul staff for making it a little less stressful.

Total was about $600. A gap exists in adjacent units where the rollup door is at the front of the unit. The stolen items were all in reach to steal. Filing a complaint with corporate was denied. No camera existed on the isle my storage unit was. Very disappointed and lost some sentimental expensive items.
