The guy outside wasn't exactly personable but I came to pick up a trailer, not have a conversation so no love lost.
Julian W.They day I picked up my rental I was informed of a change in the drop off location. The new drop off spot was changed to Auberry, CA which is almost a two hour round trip in winter conditions. Then on the phone when I called to confirm my original drop off location I was told my only other option was Fresno, CA. Also an almost two hour round trip from Oakhurst. If these were my only options at the time I made my reservation, a week in advance, I would have made other arrangements. But my reservation was accepted for Oakhurst. I had no choice but to drop off my truck in Oakhurst as was stated in my original reservation. I was then charged a change of drop off fee. I'm disgusted by the lack of empathy to my situation by two customer service calls. I was basically told “Tough shit!†A very frustrating experience..

Although the prices are triple what they are in Texas, my rental to come from Texas to Santa Barbara was $173. but taking the same size trailer back to Texas from here was over $700...... never ever again for me. OUCHY...

Overall it was a good experience. I liked Phillip P. He was courteous and helpful when I returned the moving truck.

siri atma K.The equipment in my reservation was not prepared for me and when I returned to the site to get it, the employee acted like it was a huge hassle and told me I should have mentioned it when picking up the truck. On top of that, returning to pick up the equipment put me over the mileage on my reservation and I was forced to pay for the extra mileage.This was after I was forced well out of my way because even though I reserved over a week in advance I was suddenly told that my could not get my truck from the location I had requested because it was too much trouble for them to move it there. Terrible, rude, inconvenient, and shady. Next time I will not be using uhaul.

MICHAEL S.First the employees were not very friendly. Secondly the employees parked in all the customer spots and one spot was blocked off and the employees wouldn't open it up. Had to park three blocks away. The truck only had a 1/4 tank of gas. Finally, the truck smelled like someone has dumped a bottle of Febreze. Was awful overpowering smell. I will never use this location again. I don't think the employees like working there.

Thomas H.A lot of redundant paperwork. Only one employee attendant. Each person takes about half an hour each. Just two people in line make an hour's wait! You need more employee attendants (never one at a time) and less redundant paperwork. Also some of the accessories are way overpriced, which creates lack of credibility to your potential and actual clients.
Stephen B.I was charged for gasoline, I filled the tank to the same level that the truck was given to me. Also I reserved the truck and checked in before I went to pick up the truck and the guy at the counter made me do all the paper work again. So what is the use of doing it all online.

ROBERT H.I booked this auto hauler online, the website told me that I could pick up the trailer in Oxnard where I live. I was notified two days befor pickup that Uhaul does not have auto haulers available in Oxnard ever. Why was I misled in your website that I could pickup in Oxnard? I was not happy I had to pickup in Santa Barbara an hour away. For this reason you get a poor rating. Your website is misleading and fraudulent in my opinion. I beleive I should be compensated for my time, gas and trouble for a two hour turnaround to pick up the trailer. Robert Merickel
