Vicki Bpaid to have shipping blankets, there were no shipping blankets provided to me. Would hope to be refunded for the additional cost for the blankets.

Peter KThe paperwork for renting a U Haul truck was a problem. Because my husband had rented a U Haul five or so years earlier, the information that I typed in was not kept. The auto fill instead filled in the information from his earlier rental information. My information was lost without my knowledge. I was thankful for the help I received from the Mt Horeb U Haul folk. They made my day!

nancy mI am actually writing about the first location I tried renting from. The location I did eventually rent from was fantastic. The location at 1155 Clarity St, Verona, WI 53593 was a self-service one. It just did not work. I entered the all my information and checked in 3 different times through my phone and at home before I got there (each having to upload my DL) and received no instructions on the next step. I called the business and was given a combination that did not open the lock box that contained the key to the vehicle. All and all, the entire no-touch process did not work. I will never attempt to rent a U-Haul this way again!

I've rented from a Uhaul in a bigger city, and there was zero customer service, and extremely long waits. I will be going to this location from now on. Outstanding small town values!!!

Clifford HThe trailer was clean and maintain, but it is really old. When pulling the trailer, it bounced around horribly. Only when the street was brand new did the trailer ride smooth. The trailer is far too light. I will never rent another trailer from U-Haul.

William LYour reservation system is terrible. I reserved the trailer from Viking Hardware and your system changed it to a different, much less convenient location. I then had to wait until two days before I was scheduled to pick up the trailer to try and get it switched back. Fortunately, the folks at Viking Hardware worked to get the rental back to their location.

Julie HWhen i took the truck it had 3/8 of a tank of gas. I filled it up before i dropped it off with over 5 gallons of gas to get it back to the 3/8. When i dropped it off, no one at the store checked the vehicle prior to me leaving and then charged me for only having a 1/4 of a tank via email. I had filled it up back to 3/8. But was 30 miles away. This is very shady for a business to do tjis to a customer. I am an honest person and this was totally corrupt for a business to do.
Gordon BDrivers door did latch without slamming. Sounded like there was an exhaust leak near the engine.
William LThe location is very convenient for me, however, the vehicle and experience was not good. I did the online check-in but still had to go in the store and wait for 5-10 min for someone to give me the key. Vehicle was in bad shape. Big dent on it that wasn't reflected on the photo I reviewed, ran VERY rough and loud (105 000 miles on it), tires were bald - slid down our driveway as they had no grip. Also, we requested an appliance dolly online, and paid for it, but there was no dolly in the vehicle or mention of it when I got the key. We had to drive back to the store, adding miles to our trip, to pick it up. We were told they don't have any appliance dollies so were given a normal dolly and a furniture dolly instead. Frustrating experience.

STEVE BThe vehicle was very dirty. There was nails in the passenger seat. I had to clean the vehicle after we got home, it was disgusting. The ramp was broke, almost got fingers jammed between ramp and truck.

Kathy WI made my reservation with the Call Center. I was told I could pick up the trailer in Madison at 9am . When I got my final itinerary, the trailer was not at the location or time I requested. I had to drive an hour out of my way to get the trailer at the time I needed. It was irritating.

Aaron FOnly one person in the store knew how to handle a UHaul return; lots of time spent waiting for her to appear, then to check the truck and gas gauge, then to produce paperwork. After all the effort to provide driver's licenses for the driver down, then the person who dropped it in Mt Horeb, no one checked to see that the driver was actually that person. I could have asked anyone to come with me or presented myself as the driver. Careless.

Mary MThis survey should not be about the location of pickup and dropoff - it should be about customer experience with U-Haul operations. With that as background, I reserved a truck well in advance only to be told that the record was not complete (even though I received a verification email). When speaking with customer (dis)service, when I started pressing the young lady about what I should have done differently to avoid the confusion and now wasted 45 minutes, she put me on hold for 15 minutes until another customer service person answered. After an hour, they came to the conclusion that I had paid and the reservation was made, but now I was an hour late for pickup and they would need to rework some of the booking because it was my fault it took them an hour to understand their own IT logistics system. This organization is a mess, and the folks answering the phones really do not care about the customer or their business. The next time I need to rent a vehicle, I will consider all other options before going back to U-Haul, even if they cost a bit more.
Corey LU-Haul's ability to find and confirm equipment was very frustrating. I first searched on-line to find the inventory not accurate. Then, made a reservation to find the truck was not there. Finally, I had to travel almost 30 minutes out of town. The entire process needs to be critically analyzed and improved.
clayton cDrop off was again 20 min away. I can't believe a town of over 3 000 people wouldn't have a U Haul drop off closer.
Nicola PWe were told to do the 24/7 pick up due to the situation with social distancing but then we got there and it didn't work. We ended up going in after about 15 minutes of waiting for the approval on the phone. They got the paperwork and keys asap in the store. Very friendly. Thank you
