I had the worst experience for I was stopped by the cops for stolen plates, given several places to go for equipment that appointments were scheduled for me to go. My one way trip moving to Charlotte NC was delayed for 2 days inconveniencing my movers! I wasn't able to get the car dolly for the contract was screwed up because of the initial stolen license plate problem!!!! I was not properly compensated for my gas or mileage!!!!! Let alone the trauma of being pulled over by the police!!!!!! NO MORE U- HALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My reservation was not in the system. The person checking me out was not focused on my transaction and seemed to be trying to do lots of different things at once and was a bit scattered. What should have been a 5 minute process was 15.

The store itself was fine. However the experience itself was not that great. I searched online to find a place where I could pick up a van at 7AM. 21st Century was the closest available, and despite their opening at 9, the app said there was 24/7 service and I could pick it up via mobile at 7. After the initial booking, I found out I could move a day earlier so I was happy when I spoke to a representative who said I could reschedule and pick up using my mobile phone at the same store. When I got to the store, they were not open and the app told me to come back at 9AM. While this was only a minor setback, and was explained once I spoke to a second rep, it is unacceptable that after speaking to the first person I was not informed that I couldn't pick up the van until the store opened. 24 hour service was advertised but not delivered.

After returning the rental can I was charged twice. Once for the to amount me. Ce for another amount in which I do not know what from which put my checking account into a negative status. I would like to know what this extra charge is from and why was I not informed prior.

There were multiple issues with my reservation. First, I was told 3 days prior that my primary location was unavailable and that the only option was now 30 minutes away and opened 2 hours later than my requested pick-up time. When I arrived Friday morning to pick-up from this location, they didn't even have the truck size I ordered and had to upgrade me to a 15' truck. The truck was far too big for my move and too wide for the alley behind my apartment creating issues maneuvering the alley and causing many of my belonging to shift and fall during the drive due to the extra space. In the store, this change took over 45 minutes to process making me even later than planned due to the delayed opening time of this location. The workers, while very nice, had to call someone else to complete the upgrade to ensure I wasn't charged more. The gentleman they called still made errors and said he would comp the dolly and furniture pads (even though I had called to remove the furniture pads the day before). HHe didn't however and only comped the furniture pads and still charged me for the dolly. After waiting for over 45 minutes, I didn't want to spend anymore time waiting for him to correct it. Overall, it was a very poor experience even though those working in the store were very kind as I had called the day before to confirm everything. At no point was I offered a free upgrade to maintain my original location preference as I had reserved the trucks weeks ago. At no point would I consider this experience easy or seamless even though I completed all of the recommended steps prior to pick-up. This just further lowers my opinion and experiences with U-Haul after the last time I used the service and also had to wait over 30 minutes to pick up my reserved truck after calling beforehand and being told it was ready to go.

Leslie and Millie were great. Easy rental process, very efficient. Best place to rent a truck in Philly. The service provided is well-above other places that rent trucks. My experience at these other places is usually not in a sales environment, but a gas station or some other place that does not prioritize service first.

I had to move by myself on a Sunday and I was able to come in, get a truck, get a storage unit, and was able to get a helper in the process! I don’t know what you guys are paying Millie, but she definitely deserves a raise! ??

I got van with xx77 miles , I drove to xx89 miles. When returned the van told me you got with xx57 miles I pay for 20 miles extra because he didn’t read the mails correctly. This not fair and very poor because no body solve my problem and U-Hal got my money for nothing

We had a long drive trip. The 10' truck tires weren't good enough for part of the cities I drove through because it was slippery. Not to mentioned that there were no windshield fluid on the truck. and last the Trolly lights wasn't working ending us being pulled over.

Scammed out of $56 I will be disputing with my credit card. She changed my reservation to 40 miles when I made it 140, then charged me an additional $56 for going 169 miles. I said "an additional 29 miles shouldn't be $56, she wouldn't print out anything, kept insisting it was what I originally put in. I went in person to clear this up and she was doing the "my printer isn't working" to someone else! It's so you won't see what she changes your reservation to! I wish I could upload screen shots here. I just redid my original reservation and it totaled 115.60 due at pickup (for 140 miles). Changed it to the 169 miles she says I used and it totals to 126 due at pickup. I left with nothing in writing AGAIN, and called my credit card company. This is fraud.

There mileage was wrong on the contract. Si CEO it's our first time renting, both my boyfriend and I didn't check it. We drove about 60 miles to home, the truck shows 161 miles. We will NEVER, EVER chose uhaul at all. The company cheated to customer.

This location was listed as an option for self service rental (which i chose as it was described as the best option for saving time). My rental was for 10am and upon arriving to the location at 10:00 am the van was not located in the specified spot. Upon further scanning of the location I saw my van (with the specified tag numbers) behind a secutiry gate. The building which was handling the uhaul rental (21st century storage) was closed (despite the website stating the facility opened at 9am) with a sign posted that it would open at 10:15. A woman who was working there to clean the facility informed me (at 10:20) that the worker had left to make a banking deposit. Several calls were made to 21st century storage notifying them that the facility was not opened and that the pick up scheduled as self service and for 10am. Their response was that there was nothing they could do to assist with the rental delay but contact management. Phone calls were placed to uhaul as well with nothing but voice messages and waiting on hold. At 10:50 the worker arrived placing blame on uhaul for listing this site as a self servic location and that it has not been operating as such for some time. I informed her that i was now 45 minutes behind schedule impacting both my own schedule and the movers who were hired. I noticed a sign within the store describing a gaurenteed reservation promise with "right on time" listed as part of the gaurentee. As my experience was not in line with this gaurentee i would not recommend u haul rentals for others.

The rental equipment should be checked and ready to go. The only problem we occurred was the windshield wipers were not working but a person from the store came out and fix it so we had to wait for another 15 minutes. But overall customer service was really good

Employees need to be knowledgeable on how to utilize the equipment that they rent. I rented an auto transporter. I asked for assistance with connecting it to my vehicle and was told that he did not know how to attach to the hitch on my vehicle and no elsecwas asked to assist me. I had to leave the store and come back after hrs to pick up the transporter after my husband got off work for his assistance.
