The disappointing part of all of this is the cost of the mileage being applied - The suspension of the truck is not comfortable, very bouncy ride - the fuel consumption of the truck is not good, you should have diesel trucks, but I guess you wouldn't make money, unless you charge way more per miles or kms - Also you truly believe the best approach when renting trucks is that you have the representatives at the U Haul locations fill the trucks with gas and have customers fill the trucks back full in order that all parties know exactly how much gas was used with no surprises - have all trucks cleaned out of garbage, cigaret butts etc.... - have trucks tested before picked up by customers to avoid complications (engine noise, power steering etc... fluid checked etc.... customers should never be responsible to mechanical verifications and problems on the road because of lack of proper maintenance -

Had trouble with dispatch, not the location. They cancelled my reservation twice and I was scrambling, hoping to get a truck for my move. This was very stressful. Once I had the truck, things went well.

This is a convenaient store with ONE clerc.....u have to waiting...she serves gas, services customers with their purchaszs...and does the U-Haul paper work,.. it takes time....thank God the lady is COOL.

The location is very good, but this is a low-end depaneur with a clerk who didn't seems to care. Fortunately, it was just a drop off.

This is the second uhaul I've rented in the past two weeks. Better care is needed with the fleet. Overworked vehicles need tlc mechaically.

I made my reservation at the beginning of March for a location in Ottawa. The day before the pick-up I was informed that I would be picking up the truck in Gatineau. This was somewhat inconvenient, but doable. I decided to call the location to confirm the pick-up and was transferred to an agent. I was then informed that the reservation in Gatineau was a "Black" reservation, which was explained to me that no truck would be available. Fortunately the agent found a truck for me in Hawkesbury - a 240 km round trip to pick up and get to the location of the move out. Thank goodness I called. If I had not I would have been left high and dry. I had heard that U-haul was notorious for taking reservations and dicking around their clients. Not impressed and will likely look else where when looking to rent a truck going forward.

On m'a ajouté l'assurance à mon insu sans m'avertir. Aucun document ni contrat donné au départ avec le véhicule et au retour on me facture des frais d'assurance que je n'ai jamais demandé. On appelle ça du vol Uhaul!

Assigned trailer had a back light that was not working. Told to pick another trailer, all but one were either stuck in the ice or had issues (broken/missing light connector, defective back lights). No help from employee.

Location did NOT have proper cables to connect lights. A jumper cable was required. They had several trailers on site but no cables. I left with no trailer lights. Dangerous !!! Staff friendly and transaction was quick.

Absolutely no regard for people's reservations, our truck was not available on the move day, and had to drive over an hour to pick up other accommodations. A simple call stating the truck I was supposed to have wouldn't be available due to needed repairs, would give me the time to plan out my day. 2 days prior when I called to make sure the truck would be there, they said it was all good. Absolutely disgusted with the service I recieved.

I had a promotion because U -haul dosen't have 26" and the person at Hawksbury can't put the 40$ off on the rent like the person tell us by phone last tuersday during confirmation call... and she change the date for saturday 8h00am then sunday 8h pm ... So we had a VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE we are very hungry... it's my 2th time I rent U-haul and 2/2 I have vedy BIG bad experience

This was not the original pick up location. In fact, I only learned that the pick up location changed less than 24 hours before pick up. No email or text had been sent to notify me, I only found out because I logged into my account to double check everything. The new pick up location was at least only a 30 minute drive but it was a good thing we were able to get there easily.

The Truck had garbage inside when I received it. I paid for the equipment and the truck online prior. When I arrived I was told I had to pay for the equipment again the U-haul representative told me there were (added taxes) even though I showed a receipt I paid for the equipment already. Over all poor service I had to pay extra mileage even though I told them I would be driving the truck to Ottawa and back. Would not recommend this place to anyone I know

My original reserved vehicle was not properly inspected, not road worthy, no assistance from site operator, very difficult to reach u-Haul by phone, screwed up my perfect itinerary, traveled extra miles to go pick up a different vehicle at a different location. Phone number provided for that location was not valid, almost didn't get the second vehicle. That vehicle was not clean and dash board called for an oil change. Location couldn't print the paperwork. Hawkesbury site operators were very pleasant and willing to help I must say. Not my best experience. The worst part is the inability to reach anyone by phone for hours.

The app doesn't work. I had booked under 24/7 feature with mobile pickup. Worse experience ever. I never selected insurance but the charges appeared on my invoice. Never renting from u haul again.

Impossible de rejoindre par téléphone pour confirmer si des équipements étaient de retour. Déplacement obligé. Endroit extrêmement sale, mal entretenu et non invitant, et ce, tant à l'extérieur qu' à l'intérieur. Ceci nuit à la réputation du UHaul , les camions et les remorques sont mal disposés, au milieu de gros déchets qui ressemble à un dépotoir. Par contre aucun soucis avec la transaction mais l'endroit et le personnel n'inspire pas confiance.

Went to pick up a van on the 31 of August, and it wasn't available. So I had to pick up the next day. Ask for blankets and wasn't put in the truck.

Very dirty location. Equipment was dirty and still had somebody's dolly in the back. Key deposit box isn't located outside. For some reason I had to have my identity "verified", despite the fact I regularly rent from Uhaul.

Everything went smoothly for us, we had ordered a larger trailer but we were notified right away that it was not available, pick up of the smaller trailer was Efficiently processed by Demetra, big shout out to her for her service!! I was a little worried as U-Haul had cancelled their own employees reservation but thankfully everything was good for us.

First off, I would recommend UHaul in general not to cancel a reservation made 2+ weeks in advance 3 days prior to moving. ''Not having the necessary equipment'' is not an excuse, and writing that I should drive 6+ hours to get a truck is ridiculous. (This has nothing to do with the pickup location). Now regarding the pickup location, I was disappointed to learn that there was no available equipment on location when I presented myself. I had to wait 11 hours in person before another truck was available. The personnel was very helpful: they tried everything they could to get me a truck. I want to thank Mary and Dumitra as they made the best out of the worst situation possible. Next time, I would advise them to not use spare one-way trucks to store dead wood as it could save time for customers needing a truck, but I also do understand that there was a fire and that they needed a place to put the debris. Based on my overall experience, I will never rent from UHaul ever again, and I will not recommend UHaul to any of my friends and family. (Again, nothing to do with the pickup site, they were great).

Am verry mad , I reserved a 15 feets and then they call me to said the 15 feets is not avalble ,they offrir me a 20 feets i said it was ok but they call me back to tell me it not avalable grrrr and they toll me they have 10 feets only ,saturday they day i move i drove to Hawksbery to get my 10 feets the lady to me she have no 10 feets ,i was verry mad .But she find one . But with the 10 feets i have to travale to time from Hawksbery ro Les Coteaux two time and paid extra Kilometres grrrrrrrr

The lady that processed my rental was fantastic. The Truck was very dirty inside and not washed outside. The lady that actually runs the place (NOT the manager) is knowledgable and patient with customers. The computer is extremely slow and the company seriously needs to upgrade it ASAP. Pricing is affordable, Gas prices these day, not so much.

Le commis est arriver à 8h10 au lieu de 8h00. Durant l'enregistrement elle à remarqué qu'elle n'avait pas la clé du camion que je louait pcq son collègue l'avais amené chez lui pcq il avait oublié de remettre la clé sur le bord après avoir replacé le camion la veille. J'ai du attendre un 30 minutes supplémentaire pour avoir la clé. Donc à cause de ses 2 évènements je suis partit à 8h50 du centre de location. Mon pick up était prévue pour 8h00. Et à cause de ça je suis arrivé en retard au rendez-vous que j'avais à 9h.

Hidden fees everywhere... logic behind need to fuel the truck when it isn't empty is so stupid I won't use a Uhaul ever. 29,95 + 0,86$/km + hidden fuel fees + hidden 30$ for I don't know shit + no one told you anything... It was easier 20years ago. Now it's a NoNo

The van was clean, but it needs suspension work. When I drove over bumps or potholes it swayed badly and I had to really manhandle it to keep it in my lane. I only had 5 sheets of plywood in it but it really bounced around as if it had a shifting load, but the load was flat on the floor. The store is smelly and dirty, and the staff are a bit rude, but we are stuck because it is the only U-Haul that has vehicles regularly in our area.

J'avais réservé une remorque 6X12 fermé, et le jour avant la livraison on m'a appelé pour m'aviser que j'étais pour avoir un 5X8 fermé. Donc je n'ai pas eu assez de place pour tout mettre et j'ai eu a faire deux voyages a la place de un... = perte de temps et d'essense.

Oui je recommande u-haul a un ami mais pas cet endroit. Cet endroit est une station d'essence avec service et très occupé et il n'a que un employé. A la ceuillette du camion cela nous a pris au moins une heure. Le contrat a du être refait car l'essence a gage indiquait E et sur le contrat 1/4, le millage était de 60 miles de plus que sur le contrat, il faut bien surveiller avant de partir.
