Annoying to pay for a van that had a back hatch that would not close. I had to ratchet strap my belongs and hope they didnt fall out the back of the van

Martha SIt was a good experience from booking to return. I talked to a young man at the 800 number who was helpful and knowledgeable. Both of the women that I dealt with in the office could not have been more cordial or efficient. The van was clean, had a full tank of gas and cruised along, empty or loaded. The only thing that would make it better is if you included a window scraper/brush inside. I didn't bring mine and the first morning I was out, I had to use my library card to clear the windshield. Otherwise it was good. Thank you all

Gregory MIt would have helped a lot to have clearer communication about where to find the truck. It took me two hours on the phone with customer service to find out that the truck was not in the gated parking lot like the last time I rented one, since that info was not in any emails or online. I was also charged for a utility dolly that I did not use, and my request for a partial refund never received a response. On a positive note, the truck was clean and functional, and office staff has always been very nice to work with.
Alexander Mhave more help and more cargo vans to rent. rent them for a longer period of time, like a week. not just a day or two.

Lakiesha BThe onsight manager explained to me IN FULL detail about how drop off works at her location. I was instructed by Transportation that I had to take truck home with me, put more gas in the truck, and bring the truck back the next day when office opens. Then when I got there, transportation tells the manager that I have to drop off truck 30+ more miles away at other location, but On My Contract it showed Current location I was at for a drop off address. The manager asked me to park the truck in their overflow lot and assured me that she was going to take care of the confusion and mixup and that I would nit have to worry about the truck or any other costs to me that may incur due to me dropping the truck AND trailer off at the location listed on my contract. On West 7th Street in St. Paul, MN. I was happy that the Manager was able to help me. Merci encore.
Brandon JThe checkout experience was smooth and efficient. The rental van was in good condition and met my needs perfectly. The return experience was nothing short of DISASTROUS and I plan to share my experience as widely as I can to warn future U-Haul customers. The lady at the rental counter stated that she was under STRICT instructions to ask all customers to go through the return process online and to NOT assist them in any way. We were in the middle of a big thunderstorm at that time and I had a horrible time taking all the photos required for the online process....only for the photos to disappear when I had to wife my phone-screen because of the pouring rain. After >5 minutes of this dreadful experience, the lady at the counter took pity on my miserable soaking state and assisted me with the return process JUST LIKE AT ANY OTHER RENTAL AGENCY. I understand the need for efficiency and cost-savings but to subject a customer to such a miserable experience is totally unacceptable, especially since I returned the vehicle during normal business hours and a staff could easily have assisted me with the return. I hope that the poor staff at the counter on the afternoon of June 10 ARE NOT penalized for my experience and this review. They were absolutely remorseful about their inability to go against their supervisor's diktats and I am very grateful for the compassionate commonsense they showed in going against strict 'orders' to help a customer. What an awful company customer service policy.
Ramasubbu SI would like to recognize the wonderful woman (didn't catch her name) who was running the office on June 1. There were multiple customers and challenges, such as trucks not being returned on time for the next customer (me) or the exit being blocked by a semi truck unrelated to the business. She handled it all with grace and excellent customer service, figuring out a solution to each challenging situation. I was impressed.

Walter JI was given the uhaul with 1/8 tank of fuel. Had to fill it up asap at the nearest gas station. I was not advised on how much gas i should pay for to fill up for my miles. I ended up returning the tank at over half tank of fuel because I overfilled it and wasted a lot of money on gas. I was not given a credit to my receipt worth the amount gas i left the truck with. Uhaul 24/7 service is terrible and unresponsive, made me waste 45mins trying to return my truck at the drop off. Contract was changed to overcharge me when i arrived to speak with the representative and i had to waste time trying to get my contract near the price i was initially given on the website. Uhaul honestly disappointed me...

Dana SWhen I phone, repeatedly, during late afternoon on three days, no one answered and or no VM came on. The fellow who did then answer last Weds or Thurs afternoon was very helpful and friendly. when I phoned back later that day or the next, I do not recall currently, he answered again and was happy to move my rental out one day. When I came in Sat about 3:30, neither woman behind counter greeted me. (The one whose been there the longest, was the same way in the past.) Once, I initiated the conversation, the rest of the transaction was good. Good value overall. Can I recommend to others? Cannot being they seem to generally not appreciate customers. I wrote this in past survey.

Gregg GThanks for offering the 24 hour mobile access and that is a benefit, however it's very important to provide the customer with the 4 digit gate code after the intake process is complete so we can leave the gate and come back in upon return. It was not clear that I needed to jot down or remember it and could not access it clearly for my exit. I also called the 1-800 number and they could not assist me.

Briah AEverything was great except for the van smelled like it had just had cats living in it. The smell gave me a terrible headache an made my stuff smell. Outside of that everything was fine and the location was very helpful.

I thought it was odd that the check in pictures (pre rental) I received on my phone to check in my rental were taken with snow on the ground, obviously not taken recently!! It is September 9th!

Daniel HI really like this place! I will use it again for sure. Great customer service and a welcoming atmosphere. Professional & willing to help. Just one thing: if walking is a challenge for you, there is a long one block walk to the lot in order to retrieve your rental vehicle and to return it. But who knows~ they are so nice, maybe they just might help you with that in some way.
