AWFUL: 1. No sign on property indicating U-Haul did business at this location; 2. No U-Haul drop box on property to deposit key when done using truck (Help Desk instructed me to leave key on console); 3. Phone # of Storage Business on property rolled over to a voice mail message box that was full + couldn't accept more messages. 4. Took nearly 45 minutes to return truck ... finally had to download the U-Haul Mobile App ... what a TRAIN WRECK.

HARLAN HEmployee at pick up location was not interested in helping much and did not dispatch vehicle properly or pride furniture pads. Was a hassle dealing with UHaul after pick up to try and straighten this out.
Steven HThis location was not the location I selected. Selected location was 34200 W 9 Mile Road and was the location I returned it to. Don't know why it was changed. Very confusing.

Melanie Cso I rec'd no instructions on the truck. I never figured out how to turn on the radio (not a big deal, I often drive with it off). But I just thought it was weird that no-one showed me anything. Also, I had to ask for a lock for the back door of the truck. When I've rented before, that was automatically provided. She provided one but only because I asked.
CYNTHIALOUISE LThe woman that initially made my reservation and checked me in was either very new at her job or just very inattentive; I told her multiple times over the phone and in person that I was going to be dropping my truck off at a different location In Ypsilanti. When I went to return the truck, there was no return record for it. When I called to ask her what happened, she tried to fix the problem by calling her manager and told me it was resolved, however, it wasn't. When I tried calling her back, she did not answer the phone even though the business was open for another hour.
Sarah DIt would be nice if it also had Cargo Vans to rent, in addition to the 15 foot trucks available.
robert hHad a very bad experience with the rental staff not information given at time of rental was charged extra for a day that was not used and had been returned previous night. No phone calls or feedback were relayed to me , battery had to be jumped started causing a delay in rental time.

VENKATESH MCounter person was very nice and polite. However she was new and not properly trained. Truck was clean, but the A/C did not work. Not too much fun to drive on a 90 degree day.
Brian DEverything is good with this truck and dolly rented, except the AC is not blowing cool air at all. Fortunately the driving distance was only 6 miles back and forth, which made the torture driving under 85 F a short distance one. Out of the five stars, one star got heat stroke and disappeared.

Kathleen SNighttime/after hours delivery was confusing and foreboding. Location not intuitively obvious. took a while to find key deposit box. I may have given a different rating if the return had been made during regular business hours
Denny II requested a 26' truck you had not available, I understand that. I requested a 7 a.m. pick up time as I hired my Movers for 7:30 start time. I couldn't pick the truck up until 9 a.m. . I was told I would receive a phone call the day before to confirm from U-Haul along with the location. I received no such call. I used a credit card for the reservation and stated that I wanted the rental to be charged to that card. The later pickup time required that I sent someone in my place to pick the vehicle up. I called the location the day before and left a message and no one returned my call. The person who picked the vehicle up was required to leave her debit card. Which subsequently was charged the entire rental fee. So I had to take extra time out of my day on Saturday to go to the bank and withdraw cash to replace the funds that U-Haul withdrew from her account. I rented with you how many times in the past and I've never had this many issues. U-Haul will most certainly not be my first call the next time I need to rent a truck, trailer or car hauler.

Ronald BI was sent to waterford 12pm pick up. To get call at 1155 not available. Then total different direction to Farmington. Move 2 hours late. Pay for the time movers. Then contract said 0,79 a mile. Monday bill was for 0,99 a mile. Poor experience.
Mike PThe off hours pick up and drop off was difficult. I could not load pictures of the dashboard (odometer, gas) in either case. I spent an extra 20 minutes on each end. And since I could not complete the pick up process, I felt very uncomfortable driving away. Then on the return had to figure out what to do with the key on my own. I was able to upload truck damage pictures, license, etc. during pickup, but not any dashboard pics.

Bin ZSimply dropped-off the 4x6 trailer after hours. Took various photos on my phone to document trailer was clean and undamaged. Next day I called to make sure all was well...the Representative was cheerful, helpful and thankful. Couldn't be more satisfied with this rental. Merci!

JIM LThe vehicle mirrors (Passenger & Driver Side) were filled with mud and unable to have a clean view for behicles which are behind. And Vehicle cabin was making huge noices. I drove manu Uhaul vehicles but this one is bit odd. The storage area was clean.

Bethany MIt took me an hour to get the trailer despite checking in online and calling before. The guy checking me in was busy chatting on the phone during most of the hour long ordeal, he kept incorrectly entering in the information. After finally getting paid for and out the door he just stood there and watched me hook the entire thing up with no assistance or even backing help. I was furious, even to the point of trying to find a local Penske location nearby on my phone so I could actually get a trailer.

Jen BI paid cash for the rental and you held my car registration which if I got stopped by a police officer I could get a ticket. Why do you have this policy, couldn't have copied it so I could retained my registration.
ETHEL PI never went into the location because I dropped off after hours. The entrance to the location was hard to find...they should put up some signs to find the entrance to the building.
JULIA AVery minor suggestion, but the sign on the road is hard to see from the road in terms of being a UHaul place. Also, once you get into the location, internal signs directing people to the office would be helpful. (Not a complaint just a suggestion). I realize it is self storage place first though.
