On 9/30/2021, I rented a Uhaul from the Whitefield location for 2days. When placing the order, I was told we just needed to pick up the uhaul. After driving to Fort Worth, we were supposed to go to Athens, TX and drop off the Uhaul there. That job in Athens got moved to a new location so we returned the Uhaul to Garland, TX rather than the original plan of dropping it off in Athens , TX. Prior to dropping it off, I called Uhaul and was told we wouldn't be charged extra for dropping at a different location. ONCE I VIEWED MY STATEMENT, I NOTICED I WAS CHARGED A 200 $CLEANING FEE. THIS UHAUL WAS CLEANER WHEN WE DROPPED IT OFF THAN WHEN I PICKED IT UP. The day after we returned the uhaul, I received a voice mail (which I actually just listened to today) from Chedrick stating that we had stolen the Uhaul (even though I have a contract from uhaul with the same dates). I called Chedrick today & it went straight to his voice mail. I left a message but still haven't heard back, 4 hours later. After this, I called Uhaul in Garland to ask why we were charged this cleaning fee. I was told we were charged this because we dropped it at a different location. I explained to the lady what I was told by uhaul when I called and she said I would need to call the district manager, who again is Chedrick. I called him again, but again straight to voice mail. So in meantime, this morning, I reserved another Uhaul from the Eufaula location. Once there, I was told we would need to do online check in, which wasn't showing to be available. I called the customer service number and was told we could no longer do business with Uhaul because of the stolen trailer. I explained the situation AGAIN to this gentleman... he said I needed to contact the general manager, Chedrick. I told him I had already tried contacting him and gotten no response. I was then given the General Manager's name & phone number (Ken Cunningham). Prior to calling him, I decided I'd call the Whitefield location to see what they had to say. The girl I spoke to was shocked and said she'd contact another person who works there and they'd get back to me. She did also confirm their location has NO ONLINE CHECK IN. Waiting for a call back. A pretty sad situation considering that we rent uhaul trailers 5 to 10 times a year to deliver cabinets!!!!Trena S.

Got insurance. Rented one day, 24hr. Returned on time, filled up. Female parked it,,, who WAS NOT EMPLOYEE. GUY AT COUNTER CHARGED ME DAMAGES 350 $.... OF WHICH I DID NOT CAUSE. This location in Garland is very poorly maintained. I was over charged. I have done business with U HAUL FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. I WAS OVER CHARGED. I TOOK PICTURES of the mileage and the gas amount,before I left. I used the truck for two days over, mileage low. I put more gas in than that was when I left. Hire competent and friendly reps. She was an ass, with an attitude. Did not know how to connect the 6x12 trailer, or had anyone around that did. All she would say is "Do you want to cancel?", after I had driven 250 miles and reserved the trailer. She was the most incompetent, unfriendly, don't-give-a-damn person I have ever encountered. 99 % of the U-Haul reps I've dealt with over all these years have been knowledgeable, competent and friendly. It's a shame she sullies the entire U-Haul name.Charles K.

The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because the guy working there was so nice and really tried hard to accommodate is. But the truck we were originally supposed to rent was infested with roaches. The U-Haul employee tried spraying the truck down with raid but roaches were everywhere. So when we refused to take that truck he offered us a bigger truck at the same rate which we accepted. That truck Appeared to be cleaner but had a very musty smell. I don't think they clean these trucks at all after each use. In fact the truck is still sitting in the exact same spot that I parked it when I was done.Laquinta E.

I was charged an extra day or day that I did not have the vehicle I returned the truck the same day on Saturday 3/23. On Sunday I looked at my bill and noticed that an additional 51,69 $ was taken out of my account. When I called to ask about it I was told because the truck was turned in a day late but they charged me for an extra day. Which was a total lie. I rented the truck on that Saturday and returned it on that Saturday. The mistake was fixed but it should never happen .Now that I'm looking at the receipt that was emailed to me the final receipt it still shows that the pick up was on the 23rd and return on the 24th which is NOT correct and I have photos on the mileage and gas hand to prove it. I willNEVER use this location again and I hope to never use U-Haul again.Joye T.

I had several problems. Some have to do with this location and some have to do with UHaul itself. First, I did not choose this location. Apparently the location I chose did not have the truck I wanted. Despite the fact that I made my reservation and paid up front well in advance of the pick-up date, I guess no one could be bothered to get a truck to the right location. UHaul made this location change without contacting me first, and left it to the owners of this location to do instead. It was frustrating, but overall worked out, but what if I needed it sooner--you know, at the time I made a reservation for (this location opened two hours later than the other)? What if I was walking to the location and this new one was too far away? There are a myriad of things that this could have made this an issue, so it's frustrating that the decision to change it was just made for me. Second, because I was supposed to pick up my truck at the original location before the new location even opened, they told me I could do the 24-hour pick-up. I called twice, spoke to two different people, and was assured I'd be able to get my truck when I needed it. When I arrived to pick up my truck, the option to pick it up was not on my dashboard on either UHaul's website or mobile app. Someone came out and told me they don't open until 9 (I couldn't see who because of how the fence is). I tried to troubleshoot it for about 10 minutes before giving up and just coming back when they opened. Third, there were issues actually getting my truck once the location opened. I was asked to pay again, even though I'd paid online. Also, the amount I was being asked to pay in the store was about 100 $more than what I was billed online. When I pointed this out, I was told that it just puts a pending charge on my credit card that is actually charged when I return the vehicle. There were several issues as I explained that I already had a pending charge (from the online payment) and swiping my card again would give me two pending charges. Phone calls had to be made and eventually it turned out I didn't need to pay again and I didn't need to pay the extra 100 $. All told, I didn't get my truck until an hour and a half after I was supposed to pick it up (this includes the HOUR it took for me to pick up the truck once the location opened). The two people working there were nice enough, but that does not excuse how absurdly busted the whole process was. I'm sure that a good chunk of this wasn't their fault directly, but that also doesn't mean much to me--I don't really care whose fault it was so long as it never happens again.Jamin D.
