I do not agree with renting a vehical that does not have a full tank of gas. In this case it registered having 3/4 tank. Yes, I was given a handy dandy chart which helped me figure out how much fuel to put in to bring it back to 3/4 before returning the vehical. Unfortunately I made a mistake and ended up returning the truck with a full tank. Yes, my mistake for not paying attention. When I returned the truck your guy asked me if I replaced the fuel. I told him that not only did I replace the fuel, but I filled it up by mistake. He thanked me for my business and sent me on my way. I believe a policy of rent with a full tank, return with a full tank, would be much easier for everyone, and keep people like me from making $30 mistakes.

Bruce TI stopped into the Uhaul location the day before my scheduled pick up date to make sure a truck was going to ready for me in the morning. I was told they had a truck for me, but they were trying to get another one because the truck they had was in rough condition. I arrived the following day and unfortunately they were not able to get another truck. It was a 26 ft truck with about 164k mile on it. It started up and sounded rough. Ran rough and exhaust was loud. Being that it was moving day and this was all they had I didn't have much choice. As I accelerated down the road it struggled to get up to speed, spitting and sputtering. I was given the truck with only a 1/4 tank of gas, so I had to stop at the first gas station I could find. I proceeded on to the interstate and things were loud inside the cabin. There was a loud constant rattle from both exterior mirrors. I stayed in the right lane and only cruised at 65mph. I had to put gas into the tank twice. As it turned out I only averaged about 6 miles per gallon of gas. Despite the horrible truck we were provided I was able to get my son moved. I have rented from Uhaul in the past and trucks were ok. This was by far, hands down the worst truck I have ever driven. It was an understatement when the employee told me the truck was pretty rough. They were right by trying to find another one the day before. This truck needed to be taken out of Uhaul's fleet. The check in and out process was great.
