When Uhaul booked the equipment, the only option was a location 12 miles away from my residence. Within 5 miles of my house, there are multiple Uhaul locations to include the legitimate Uhaul main location. It is clear that Uhaul clearly uses this move inventory at a cost to the customers and not to the company.

Our experience was horrible. We reserved a 26' truck for pick up at 8am in Portsmouth. My husband arrived to pick it up and we were told it wasn't available until 1pm. Which would not work at we were moving out of state and needed to be packed and on the road by 1. We were then told there were no 26' trucks available for pick up in the area. The best the could do was a 20' truck that we would have to drive to Hampton to get. Which meant using our gas to get to Hampton and back. And a 20' truck wasn't going to fit all our stuff. But it was the only thing we could do. So now I have stuff left in storage that I have to figure out when/how to move. I'll have to rent another truck. Again, we moved out of state. I work full time. This was a huge inconvenience, for what should have been a quick and easy pick up.

I called another local rental site prior to calling this one and was placed on hold for at least a half hour and finally hung up. Tried again later and the same thing happened. Tried to reserve the truck online and that didn't work either. Finally called a third site and they arranged the rental for me. Also, when I got the confirmation email, I entered all the info on the website (for "faster" pickup) like the email said but when I got to the rental site, I had to provide all the info all over again. Looks like you have some work to do - to make all this work. On the "better" side - you were half the price of Budget !!!!

your agents won' t come out with you to pre- check for damages. nor will they come out to check for damages when truck is returned . i brought the truck back with fuel gauge higher than when i first left. they refused to check the gauge when i came back. was told this would all be checked out later. i asked for my receipt and was told it would be emailed to me. my receipt never showed up. after two more requests for receipt, i had to go back to store to get the receipt. thats when i discovered they said my fuel level was lower than when i first left. on all of my other trips i've used uhaul an agent would go out with me to precheck truck and verify no damage and when i came back verified the fuel gauge. this is all crap!

The truck was dirty. I assumed it would be wiped down in-between customers due to covid. There is no way this is done. It smelled HORRIBLE. The smell actually made me feel ill. If car rental companies have no smoke policy why wouldn't a truck rental? GROSS! Also, having to replace used gas should be made more obvious online just like the charge per mile. That part was clear but the gas replacement must have been in the super fine print. UHAUL tries to advertise as super affordable on their trucks when in fact it IS NOT AT ALL. The ACE facility was fine and they're friendly The issue is with UHAUL. I'm not sure who would be in charge for cleaning the rentals.

The folks here were fantastic, my wait was maybe 5 minutes and they were extremely helpful, even saved me $50 by telling me 120 blankets is WAY too many lol!!

Next time don't call your customer the day before and tell them they have to back track on their moving trip to go pick up equipment that should have all been at the same location especially since i places my reservation approx 2 months before the move.

The Ace Hardware store that I was redirected to in the Fox Hill area was VERY helpful, informed, trained and professional. Could not have asked for a better experience. HOWEVER... The place I initially rented the 5' x 8' enclosed trailer, 1023 W Mercury Blvd, Hampton, VA 23666, had me down for the WRONG Sunday, which was a week later than I had requested. It just so happened it was the same young, forgetful girl that I spoke to "IN PERSON" about 2 - 3 days earlier when I rented the trailer. She didn't have a clue what she was doing. Very unprofessional and evidently forgot any training she may have had!!! She either needs to be fired or put in remedial training...IMMEDIATELY! I DO NOT recommend using that location for anything (NOT EVEN A TURN AROUND ) and this is one of U-Hauls main locations in that area. PITIFUL SERVICE !!!

The employees at Ace Hardware were very friendly and helpful. The only the I had any complaint with (very little) is I had to rent the trailer online. Ace will not rent a trailer for local trip at this location.

Signage at the store could more clearly indicate that there was a U-Haul pickup located inside the Ace Hardware. This was not the location I originally selected, it was assigned to me by U-Haul after my preferred location didn't have the truck I selected. So, I was confused when I arrived at the address I was given and could not have a U-Haul location. The rep who assisted was very helpful.

The customer service at the Uhaul Dealer was fantastic. The truck however had seen better days. I thought for sure the truck was going to break down during the move. The truck left a nice big oil spot on my concrete walk

I placed an order for a one way truck from VA to PA. I get a call the day before to confirm my pick up for a one way 15 inch truck. They tell me the truck is guaranteed. I go in the next day and I'm told they don't have a one way 15 inch truck. So I ask what my options are and the guy tells me they have a 10inch and I just took that. I drive all the way from VA and decide to make the drop off in PA and that's when I find out that the truck the guy assigned me in place of my one way 15 inch truck was an in town 10 inch truck. He forgot to make it one way even though I specifically told him to. Now I get to PA and uhaul decides to charge me double the charge of what I was originally supposed to pay for a wrong destination fee. My contract specifically says one way truck but they assigned me an in town truck and now I have to pay for their mistake by paying for double the charges

not sure why my milage was as much as I traveled from South Boston to Danville and then Danville to Hampton total miles should of been 238 but it says I went 45 miles over that very confusing for I have made that trip for 4 years and the milage has always been 207 miles from Hampton to Danville
