It would have been nice to have a full tank of gas rather than 1/4 tank of gas so I knew how much I had to fill up after my drive. As it is I filled it up because I was unsure how the gas burned and returned it with 3/4 a tank of gas so UHaul made about 40 $+ additional off me in gas.JENNIFER LYN C.

It's a vacuum shop with no parking lot so you have to drive another half mile to an outlet mall parking lot to pick up the Uhaul, then drive back to the location to drop the keys off. The uhaul I rented was at an 1/8th of a tank. Which was explained that I was getting an 18 $credit for. That doesn't pay for the inconvenience to have to fill up the truck before even getting on my way. I asked for a different truck after realizing this. The guy said he'd bring me keys for another truck. He showed up with no keys for another truck but instead an explanation as to why an 1/8th of a tank and 18 $credit was enough. AND THEN, the guy has me drive him back to the vacuum shop to drop him off. Begrudgingly, I obliged rather than get into another confrontation. I didn't have time for any of this and it was and unfortunate and overall bad experience. Will not recommend in the future.SETH BRADLEY W.

This probably isn't on Ace Vacuums but the truck had a pretty concerning shimmy starting at about 10mph and got progressively worse as I drove faster. I couldn't drive much above 60mph without thinking the wheels were going to fall off. The engine also backfired a couple times, luckily only close to our destination. Not sure how many more trips that truck can handle without some maintenance being done on it.MICHAEL RYAN M.

The Leesburg Ace vacuums location committed fraud during my rental. They added an 8 $rental insurance to my rental and told me it was a "location concession" fee. I didn't see the receipt until after I returned it and therefore could not contest it. I rented on 7/21 and spoke to a young lady and an older gentleman. Deceptive, fraudulent, would highly reccomend avoiding.Zach D.

This location and experience is confusing. There is no signage on the door of this storefront indicating it is a U-Haul location. Inside the storefront, it's all vacuums. I was instructed to bring the trailer to the store for inspection and then drive it to another location behind a mall and drop it near other trailers. There was no signage in the parking area indicating I was in the correct location. I had to unhook the trailer myself and hope the trailer was in the correct location.JOHN JOSEPH B.

The only problem is the location and the parking location, which is separate, is hard to find. The personnel are excellent.James H.
The process and instruction for retrieval were very poor. The trucks were located at a different spot from the listed address (had to drive to get there). I had to reach out to support to get this information which resulted in a significant delay. In addition, I had to drive back from the truck to the original location to get the key, then drive back to the truck to actually use the vehicle. This resulted in a significant delay for a time sensitive move.Ali S.

The young lady went out of her way to help attach the cargo trailer. My truck was purchased with towing package, but did not have the 2" ball. She looked up the local store who had it and came back to assist with the final installation and hook up. You need more people like her representing your uhual brand as authorized dealers. Another uhual location that I contacted were not willing to wait for me to arrive one minute past 5:00 due to traffic!JASONCHARLES S.

Absolutely ridiculous that the uHaul is parked 0,5mi away from the pickup location. Thanks to this garbage app, I couldn't pick up the truck from its location because location services requires me to be at the Ace location. Will never use this pathetic company again.Mark M.

The trailer we reserved and paid 319 $for, with a 50 $guarantee if not available, was not available. Our refund has not been processed and we have not received the 50 $. We were charged an additional 319 $when we picked up the trailer from another location the following day - they did not have one available for our original reservation date.Steven Arthur C.

Reserved a 15 foot truck for 11:00. We were told there was no truck for us. Waited while other customers received a truck. Waited 40 minutes while the man working checked across the road where trucks are kept. He came back and said a truck just came in. When we were going to load up the truck found the truck was dirty with what looked like mulch. I called U-Haul on Monday and informed of the issues. Once I got to the dropoff point, the vehicle was inspected then I was told I needed to drive the vehicle an additional half mile to where they were parked. The truck was sitting on an incline and showing less gas than I had put in the vehicle less than a mile away, and he took a picture of the gas gauge and would not let me move the truck.GREGORY W.

Location did not have the trucks, the trucks were parked offsite. However, there was no warning or notification from Uhaul or the neighborhood provider about this. Because of this mistake, I was over an hour late to pick up my truck, was almost to a different location (and would have to pay extra for mileage) to pick up a truck and had an already stressful day become even more stressful and terrible. Would not recommend picking up here. People are nice but it's not going to help your moving day go smoothly.ASHLEYNICOLE B.

The truck was clearly used by local professionals to work from. The front cab was completely filthy and not cleaned. The steering wheel was so bad it was sticky and missing chunks out of it and the seats were ripped. There was clothing and used face masks left inside from the previous renter. My wife had to drive separately it was so disgusting. The cargo area was filled with sawdust that I had to use a leaf blower to clean out. I will never recommend this place to anyone.Gilbert N.

They opened 10 minutes late leaving me waiting. I had to call to confirm I was at the right location. They I was directed to a location 5 minutes away to retrieve the U-Haul, only to find out that it wasn't at the location I was directed to. There was a discrepancy on the contract with respect to the gas amount at pickup. It was off by 1/4 tank. The manager was gracious and even offered his discount gas card as compensation, however the van I rented was lined with dirt, which I assume was from the previous renter and was not cleaned prior to my rental.Dennis S.
1) park the vehicles at the actual location. I turned up and there were no trucks there. Location not yet open. I had to call uhaul who told me I had to drive down the street and go behind an outlet mall. When I tried to check in via app, I could not because I was at the wrong location. I had to drive back to the storefront to get the key. Then back across the street to get the van 2) The fuel tank was only half full. 3) I was 45min late in returning the van because it took me that much extar time to pick up (see #1). 15min prior to the scheduled drop off time, I got a call asking what time I would be there. I told them my ETA and that I was driving. I received 3 more phone calls asking where I was over the next hour before arriving.JOHN PARKER B.

1) The trucks are not stored at the address on the website. 2) I was supposed to get the keys from a lockbox, but was never provided with the code for the lockbox. 3) The truck was provided to me with less than a full tank of gas. 4) The instructions (to return the truck) on the App are not consistent with what the rental manager required. 5) The rental manager threatened to charge an additional 20 $if I did not return the truck to a location that was different than what the App said to do. 6) I rented (via online) the truck starting at 8am on Saturday. I was not able to pick up the truck (since I did not have the lockbox code) until 930am on Saturday. 7) The rental manager showed up to work late. 8) The rental manager, when I showed up to return the truck, was extremely rude to me and my wife. 9) When I got to the rental address provided by the app on Saturday morning, there were 3 other renters who were in the same quandry I was. No one was there to help us. There were no trucks in site. We didn't know where the trucks were. We did not have codes to the lockboxs containing the keys to the trucks. 10) The back of the truck contained approximately 20 used packing blankets that I did not request or order. The key pick up/drop off and truck pick up are almost a mile apart. I had to just drop the truck where I picked it up because that's where I left my vehicle. The problem with that is that the app only lets you return to the ace vacuum store so I had to drive the key over to a different location. THEN go through the online return process which asks for a bunch of photos of the van. But you can't take photos of the van because it's a mile away and you already dropped the key off. System is messed up. I was a half hour late to the job because I had to go back and fourth to find the truck, pick up the key, then go back to the truckMatthew R.
I had to drive remotely to get the trailer. As a first timer I asked for help to hook up the trailer to vehicle and was told that the store charges for this assist with the hook up. I went ahead and installed it myself and came to the store, were I was helped to hook up correctly luckily I felt safer having had someone look at it my hook up.Abdel-Halim M K.

I was directed to drop off the trailer at an off site parking lot about a mile away from Ace Vacuums. I requested a written receipt as proof that I had delivered the trailer, but the person I spoke to refused to provide a receipt. I felt uncomfortable because if a third party had taken the trailer from the unsecured lot where I left it, I would not have been able to prove that I had turned it in. I was provided a receipt via email the following day.John B.

My first experience was easy and worked out well. The second experience was not. I reserved a truck to pick up at 9am. Was told that I would get a code to enter the lock box to get my key. The store would not open until 10am. I called to get VM... I waited until 1015am and no one showed up. At this point the need for the truck expired because my window of helped had closed. When I received a call from the store as a missed call, the rep "calls me Big Brother" acted as if I was a new customer, yet I had rented a van only 3 days before from him. I was not happy and was not polite to him but he kept calling me "Big Brother" WTF. I even paid the 20 $the day I booked the reservation.RONALD EUGENE E.

I rented from Ace vacuums in leesburg Virginia and I was very displeased with the quality of service I received. I was charged for dropping the truck off in the wrong location, despite the email with drop off instructions telling me to drop off there. I was charged for leaving one piece of rope in the back of the truck, despite it already being a mess when I received it. The gentleman in charge also was very difficult to work with and was late opening the store and it took an hour for me to leave with my truck. All in all I would never recommend this person to anyone even if he was cheaper, which he is not.GARRETT EVAN M.
It was a horrible experience to say the least.. the location wasn't open on time, I waited 20 minutes before I left. I had movers scheduled that day. I called several times to this location and to the others and left messages with no return call back. After an hour and a half they finally answered. I went back to the location and was spoken to extremely rudely. The person there didn't apologize at all for his tardiness and his behavior not even offered any discount because of their error. I dropped off after hours using the Uhaul mobile app. While the return process through the mobile app said drop off at 300 Fort Evans Rd, Ace vacuum had a hand written note on key drop off box with instructions to drop off at a different location or be charged and after hours cleaning fee -20 $. If I'd followed the mobile app instructions I would have been charged this fee :-(. Fortunately I walked to Ace Vacuum's front door and happened to see their hand written note. This location does not offer pickup from your app. You must go into the shop and do a standard rental. The vehicles are parked about 1/4 mile away from the location and you must walk there from the location after getting your keys. This also restricts your ability to use the app to return the vehicle since the phone must be at the location, while you take a picture of the odometer after you return it. Don't try to return the vehicle after hours. The keys don't fit in the key drop and they don't offer a secure place to leave keys. The owner told me that I was expected to go to Home Depot next door and buy disinfectant to clean the car before I drove it if I was concerned about COVID since Uhaul doesn't provide him cleaner to disinfect the vehicle like Penske does. Avoid this location at ALL costs.Brian jefery W.

Truck was not at the sight, when I got to where the truck was being stored it was covered in snow and I that I had to clean off myself. The truck was also plowed into a spot that took 15 minutes to get out of. The ice of the roof of the truck was about an inch thick and I was scared it would fall off the truck. This is not acceptable condition to give a truck out in and I was very unhappy with this.Tyler B.
