The facility and people were great. Having to drive an additional $70 on mileage because the truck wasn't available where it was promised. This effected my getting the truck back on time. This added another days rental and messed up the person who needed the truck next.Roderick N.

We requested a 1 furniture dolly, 3 dozen furniture pads, and 2 utility dollies. We only got 1 utility dolly. This was very problematic as we had nothing to wrap our furniture with. When I complained at the location, I was told I'd have to call uHaul since he couldn't do anything about it. In addition during the self checkout process, after providing my credit card I was kicked out of the system without getting the key code. I called uHaul to get the code and got hung up on twice. It took over an hour to get my key and since I had movers at my house getting paid by the hour I wasted a significant amount of money.Rachel H.

There were 7-8 inches of standing water mixed with gas and oil that my husband had to wade through to get to our truck. The employee said" sorry you have to walk through a lake to get to it." What? $120 pair of running shoes ruined. We had to stop home so he could change his clothes! His pants were soaked past his ankles and shoes ruined and smelled like gasoline. I did not get a receipt upon returning the rental. I have no way of knowing what I was charged and why. I received two separate charges on my account and I have no idea why. The employees in the business need to get off their comfortable seat behind the computer and do their job. I am still going to dispute the two charges because it doesn't make any sense.Mou Y.

The pickup and dropoff locations were fine, but the overall experience with uhaul was frustrating and time consuming. When my confirmed pickup 23 miles away was changed to a different piece of equipment 44 miles away 3 hours before my pickup time, it took me nearly an hour to get ahold of uhaul. I was only able to get the size of truck I wanted, not anything closer. I then had to call again after dropping off the equipment because the rep didn't add any extra miles (as promised) so I was charged for an overage that was caused by having to drive the truck 21 miles beyond what was confirmed. I got the $50 credit for them not honoring the guarantee but after extra gas and miles on my car and extra gas for the truck plus over an hour talking to customer service, it doesn't really cover it. This was after I had to cancel my last truck because it was moved last minute (though before the confirmation that time).Abigail O.

Send a confirmation email and text when the vehicle is returned. We returned the truck a few hours early and never received confirmation that the truck was successfully checked back in. Upon pick up there's notification; having something for drop off would be great too.Anthony M.

Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience by the front desk person. When I went to pick up the truck, the system was down. By mistake I provided a debit card where I have my weekly grocery budget instead of my debit card with the rest of my budget. I took the truck with me to my house. 15 minutes later I receive a message from the front desk person yelling at me stating that I stole the truck. ( I have the recording in case a supervisor would like to listen to it). I can him immediately and he was very rude continue yelling. I returned to Acorn where I rented the truck to provide the other debit card. I was treated very poorly by the same person. I very afraid to go back to that place. He really dehumanized me. Truck had a leak and some of our boxes had water damage. We noticed after we arrived here in Texas that there was a hand-written part of the rental contract that mentions â€œowner accepts responsibility for any water damage.â€ Unfortunately, we did not see this until after it rained. No big deal, but I think on things like this it is important to tell a customer up front. We would have still rented the truck, just made things a little more waterproof when packing.Eric S.

The only problems encountered through our whole move were because of uhaul and their inefficient software. If you weren't ready to go mobile or app based than you should have waited until you were prepared. THE ONLY THING THAT SAVES YOU ARE THE GUYS AT ACORN. This is my third time with them and as always they went above and beyond to help me make due with the mess the uhaul system made. If you must use uhaul, call Acorn mini storage. Don't bother with the app or online because LET ME TELL YOU it is the worst and says you have a truck when in fact there is no guarantee until you have the key in hand.ELIZABETH H.

The locations were above average, but UHaul Co should not expend their customers to drive all over picking up a truck. It should be available where Customer requests it!! Moving day is stressful enough without having to do the work of UHaul. Charges were very, very expensive!!David L.
I'll be honest we reserved a ten foot truck only to find out after all the paperwork they don't have a ramp. That would have been nice to know while ordering. So we ended up paying double the price for less than two hours use. My boyfriend simply asked the size of a truck in the lot and the gentleman working got very frustrated thinking we wanted to change again even though he just asked a question. When we returned the truck the gas needle hadn't even moved but we were still told we needed to fill it. Talking to the person working he couldn't just give us a yes or no wether it was fine to leave it. We rented here before and it was a great experience, today was just off. I felt like leaving a truck lacking maybe a gallon or two at most could have been over looked since we had to upgrade the truck for a simple ramp which is noted online that the other truck doesn't have one.
