I think I got charged for gas that I put in and I had gas at the same level. It was when I left. And something else they charged me maybe an extra hour or something but it was quite a bit more than I anticipated and I'm really angry about that.

The individual who helped me was excellent! He was kind, helpful, and made sure I had everything I needed prior to taking off on our long journey. I really appreciated him very much and would highly recommend Adamsons Tire and Service to anyone for moving or any other services they provide.

The vehicle had a "Check Engine" light illuminated, and reeked of gasoline. Smelled like the gas tank had a hole in it. It got very poor gas mileage, and kept telling me to tighten the gas cap, even though it was tight.

I forgot to look at the gas indicator when I took the truck, but after going only abt 6,5 miles, I had to put 8 gals of gas in the tank to top off before returning it!!!! Something was off there.

We rented a moving truck and it had damage. Tried to report it via the wonderful UHaul app but we only get 20min to do so! And no one at the rental office informed us of that inspection period. Which is ridiculous. 11/16 of gas? That's a crazy calculation and was difficult to figure out at the pump. It would make sense to use fractions that are indicated on the fuel gauge of the vehicle.

Over all service at both pick up and drop off locations was good However, I don't think any one has taken the time to clean and oil the ratchet assemblies for the front tie downs on this car hauler in a very long time Very difficult to work

It's dark and getting the key was a bit of a challenge. There is one dim light but there are many photos and things you need to do. The good thing is it was close to home.

Inform customers of "hidden" fees. The associate (not U-Haul) did not ask, nor did he inform me he charged me $15 for insurance, when I asked if it was optional, he said " well, yeah I guess" I asked for a refund, he said there was nothing he could do and I needed to contact U-Haul for my refund. Thankfully the service rep for U-Haul was helpful and returned my $15

The system broke down on Uhaul's end and I was unable to do a mobile check in (no fault of location/ myself). I was refunded $50 but the expense of the whole ordeal was much greater than that, it was a work thing with paid staff involved. Also rented another truck down the block within the same hour which had the same glitch but the owner lives onsite so was able to track them down after some time, and could not be more satisfied with their response- despite it not being a problem generated by them as they employed the standard self- check in protocol. I called U-Haul and got long wait times (which implies understaffing) and employees who were unable (due to company policy?) or unwilling to help (overwhelm?). I rent from uhaul a lot.. would like not to going forward if I can find an alternative. I would give my past recent experience a fat zero.

The mobile check-in was very difficult to use and frustrating. Thank goodness someone was there to check me in at the desk and also added the optional protection after I denied it multiple times.

We rented a 15 foot truck for our latest rental. It had a half tank of gas. We drove 16 miles total. I put almost 1 1/2 gallons of gas in the tank. When we got the bill Uhaul had added an extra 2 gallons in the truck and charged us an extra $9.00. I would have thought you wouldn't need over 3 gallons of gas to go 16 miles. I felt it was really cheap and chintzy, and left a bad taste in my mouth about Uhaul. Especially after we had spent over $350 in rental fees. You can't make allowances for a little bit of gas? Otherwise we were happy.

I was scheduled, as per my reservation, to pick up a 20' truck at U-haul Moving & Storage, 4417 Hollister Ave., Santa Barbara, CA 93110 on 5/23/22. I received a call from U-haul 5/20/22 @ 8:05 A.M. telling me that I would have to pick up the truck at Bryant St., Set A, Ojai, CA 93023, and that I could pick it up that day, keep it for the weekend, and return it as scheduled 5/24/22 at U-haul Moving and Storage of Point Loma, San Diego, CA 92110.... At Adamson's Tire & Service, the computer/printer went down I was told, as I was doing the paperwork, so that the clerk never gave me a printed receipt. When I arrived at Point Loma U-haul, about 1:30 P. M. on 5/24. to drop off the truck, I was told by "Cameron" that there would be a "service charge" (no real explanation why.) I went ahead and paid it. Now I learn that I was charged for "an extra day's charge." Your scheduling person who called the morning of 5/20 had told me that I could pick it up that day, and, keep the vehicle until I dropped it off 5/24 as scheduled. I want my $50 dollars (plus) back!!!!!! Rotten review to follow online if no refund forthcoming.
