U-Haul provides a good service. However, the truck rented at this location did not provide the best service. The inside of the truck was dirty. The windshield was covered with ice and there wasn't any tools available to remove the ice. The back door was totally frozen; it took me literally, 40 minutes to get open.Jose C.

The clerk was rude overall First of all he did not accept my driving license. Second, he did not use full sentences at all. Everytime, I had to ask him what do you mean and he became mad. -The individual at the counter was on the phone the entire time I was trying to check in. I was second priority to whomever she was talking to. On speaker phone, so it was not a private conversation. -I prechecked in, but the process still took 10-15 min. Maybe because she was on the phone. -The parking lot was difficult to get out of and back into. It shares the lot with other stores in a strip mall, so it's very busy. -I wasn't told ahead of time that I needed to refill the tank. Again, probably because she wasn't paying much attention to me when I checked in. Luckily, I didn't drive too far, so the fee was probably less than I would have paid for gas. -The only reason it gets 2 stars is because of the proximity to where I live. It's convenient. Can someone from customer service please reach out me. I had a terrible experience with UHaul two weeks ago. I arrived at the pick up location to get my truck via the online pick up. My pick up was supposed to be for 8:30 AM. I arrived and upon arriving the app said that my pick up was marked for hand pick up by the location even though I set up an online pick up. The app said To wait for the location to open at 9 AM. I waited until 9 AM and no one showed up at the location. I called customer service for U-Haul starting at 8:45 AM. I did not get through to anyone on customer service for nearly an hour meanwhile no one showed up to open the store. When I finally did get through to customer service they told me the store wouldn't open until 10 even though your own website said it would open at nine. All of this is irrelevant though because I was supposed to be able to pick up my truck using the dropbox and the website. Someone finally came from the shop at 10 AM. When they came they just kept talking about how it's not their fault and that the truck I am renting came back at midnight the night before so they could not put the key in the dropbox. No offense, but then why did they let me set up online pick up in the first place? And why was I allowed to reserve the truck for 8:30 AM if no one was going to come and put the key in the dropbox for me? I did not leave with the truck until 10:30 AM two hours after I was supposed to have left and after I arrived. I still was told I needed to return the truck at the same return time. This meant that I got two less hours with the truck, I missed my elevator appointment for the apartment I was moving out with, and instead of being able to use the elevator to move things up in my new apartment I had to dump everything in the loading dock so I can get the truck back on time. Yet I still pay the same amount For my reservation. Uhauls negligence made my moving day a nightmare. I would like someone to please follow up with me about this to see if we can adjust my rate for the shortened time I had the truck and I'd like someone to follow up with the location I rented from to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. The customer service I received wasn't helpful at all and I felt like I couldn't ask any questions and when asked for clarifications about prices they wouldn't give me real responses. The online check in process was obnoxious. So much of that could've been done when I registered, from the indoors and not fighting off rain. I did online check in to avoid the half hour of screwing around having my time wasted in line the last time I did Uhaul. This time, I got screwed out of 20 minutes of my time in the rain â€" where touch screens don't work â€" and cold, and I had to worry about whether a connection would drop on a phone screen I was struggling to keep dry enough. I'm offended at the return questions consistently using the term â€œfamily.â€ How pretentious and non inclusive! You could say â€œcustomer.â€ Then there's the obnoxious concept of â€œdo all this crap when you return it or we can do it for you for a convenience fee.â€ What?!? It used to be that was a non-question. Now you're trying to make us do what your employees do, clearly so you can hire fewer employees and screw customers. Franchise representatives should be required to ask customers to verify their selections for a rental. I was not asked to verify the details of my contract, nor was I given a chance to. This resulted in an extra charge I had specifically declined when I made the reservation online. I have now spent about an hour on the phone over several days--including 30 minutes during the 2-hour rental--to rectify something that could have been fixed with a formal process. After my last conversation with customer service just now (duration including hold time: 32 minutes) I think I am getting the credit that is owed back to me but this has been a phenomenal waste of everyone's time--even for U-Haul. I assume you pay your customer service folks on the phone at least minimum wage, so you have just spent *more* than 10 $arranging for me to be credited 10 $.Katherine G.
In nearly every conceivable way, U-Haul failed. The location where I was supposed to pick up my moving supplies said they haven't done U-Haul in over 2 years. When picking up my truck, I had to wait more than an hour after completing the online check-in to be "approved" by the 24/7 team. And the dollies and furniture pads I rented were not available. The only thing that made this move anything but a complete nightmare were the moving helpers I hired through the U-Haul website, who were nothing short of stellar.Ryan D.

I was not given a copy of the rental contract when taking possession. When I requested one I was told to take a picture with my phone. I was pressured not to conduct an inspection of the vehicle before leaving, and was rushed out with a vehicle that had less than half a tank of gas. I returned the vehicle I was charged an addition 30 $fee on top of the exorbitnat gas prices, on top of being charged for a full tank of gas. Adding over 60 $to a 50 $rental. When I requested a copy of my reciept, once again I was told to take a picture. I will be writing a review on yelp and Google explaining the poor and predatory practices of this establishment. I have used Uhaul many times and my experience here was very disappointing. Uhaul has definitely changed their practices and I would rather spend a little more money upfront than than go through the experience I had. While the van was in fine condition, our reservation wads overbook and no one called to tel us about it despite having almost a week to do so and we didn't find out about this until we went to go pick up our van. When we called the U-haul line we were put through loop of holding for the next person and even getting our call disconnected or hung up on before eventually getting to a representative who told us they could't honor our reservation and didn't do anything further to help us. The only reason we were able to get a van for our move was because the person running the truck share location was kind enough to work with us and get us the van we needed. The location was super convenient, and the truck was easy to drive. Improvements: -The passenger side seat belt would not buckle. (And there was a water bottle left inside, but that's minor). That was the reason for the "no" on well-maintained. Everything else was fine. In regards to location: -Person I picked it up from said that although I had reserved a dolly online, he had just given his last one away. So I had to go elsewhere to rent a dolly. But when I opened up the back to put the 3rd party dolly in, it turns out there was a dolly from Uhaul. I guess he didn't know the store it in the truck? -it wasn't until after I checked out the uhaul and later looked at the initial receipt, to find out that the insurance selected was the 14 $safe ride, but online I had requested the 28 $safe ride plus. Fortunately, there were no incidents so it turned out ok... -When I rented the car, the person indicated there would be no issue if I had to return it after hours. Right around 9, when location was about to close, I got a call about needing to return it. Fortunately I was on my way already. The person who closed out with me was very nice, and said that typically to turn it in after hours (if that wasn't pre-requested) would cost extra. I think the first person should have mentioned that upfront. -But I do want to say, the person who I returned it to was very nice and understanding, and didn't charge me for the dolly I didn't use because I had rented a third party one. The person I rented from in the beginning was also nice, but I think he could use some more training about how the system works.Justin S.
After reading some negative reviews for this location I was very nervous about a 9 am pickup. I called the location & the gentleman said â€œsomeone should be hereâ€ at 9. This made me nervous and because of a tight time schedule I contacted uhaul through my reservation. I was told someone would be there & that they open at 9am on Sat. as indicated in their hours. We arrived shortly before 9am and were soon greeted by the person in charge who handled our reservation. I'm sorry I don't know his name as he was very . friendly, efficient, and we were able to keep to our schedule. Everything was explained & the van was returned with no issues. The owner was nice and proactive but unfortunately I mostly dealt with an employee that was not helpful. She upsold me on insurance without getting my approval. I asked her to remove that from the contract. She didn't know how to do that so she had call uhaul. It took an hour for her to get it straightened out. She didn't show me the van or how much gas it had. I had to go back inside to ask which of the vans the key was for. To top it off the van didn't have the dolly that I ordered. When I returned it she took another half hour to get the dolly off the statement. When the owner arrived he tried his best to expedite everything but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.Fernando B.
