This location was 2 miles from our house and they opened early in the morning. Easy to get in and out. Staff was friendly and helpful!

The people were nice but said they do not hook up the trailers to your vehicle. The lady said she didn't know how to do it anyway. They did not want to be liable for any of that, yet in communications with Uhaul they said someone would hook it up and inspect it for me. The place I rented from in July did all that. I had to wait for her husband to get there. Then we waited longer waiting while the man was on the phone with uhaul fussing about having to hook the trailer up I was finally able to leave. Their main business was their mini storage units.

This location was not where I made the reservation for. The reservation was for a location approximately 10-15 miles from this location, which was very frustrating since I do not know the area and was on a critical time frame.

Location is closed on Sunday with gate. Personnel responded to phone call with gate code quickly. Location is tight for a big truck.

The Northport Alabama location was great, but the Skyland location in Tuscaloosa Al was terrible! I was treated terribly and the employees were extremely rude!

Everything was good until the young man told me I "could drop the trailer off anywhere along the fence line". I am a 47 year old woman! Lucky for him I didn't use my strength to choke him, I saved it to unhitch the trailer!!! In all my years of renting u-hauls all over the US I have never been told to hitch or unhitch my equipment!

I requested uhaul trailer and pads. I had to go to two locations, one for the trailer and a different one for the pads. I also needed a couple of boxes and neither location had boxes so ended up going to Lowe's. We got no help hooking the trailer up. Thankfully we have towed stuff before and knew what we were doing.

Be more flexible with returns; I was unable to return equipment during office hours because of work and was unable to leave equipment at the office because it is inside of a locked gate and fence. Thus I was charged over $50 for a $10.00, 24 hour rental of an appliance dolly. But the store is very safe, I guess.

Make sure that assistance is given when hooking up to your auto. Because not everyone knows how to attach the equipment to their autos.

The local providers were both great. The website service was terrible. I wasn't informed that the pick up site I chose was closed permanently. There isn't a phone number to call. We were more Bing and had no internet acces so I had to drive around to find a site to work with.

I was disappointed in the pick-up experience. When I have rented from U-Haul previously the equipment was prepared and ready for me at the time of delivery. This time I had to pick up the truck from one part of the yard, and then to hitch it to the vehicle towing trailer in another part of the yard, and then to load my vehicle aboard - all without any help. I understand issues with liability, but I would have expected the U-Haul employee to at least serve as a spotter for me. It is a good thing I have plenty of experience with trailers and driving with them, but the entire hook-up procedure took me at least 30-45 minutes all by myself.

I requested the Skyland Drive location and when you texted me the confirmation you said I had to pick it up at this other location. The lady was very nice BUT it was totally inconvenient for me AND my son had to put it on my car. Very inconvenient and lots of trouble, I probably won't use UHaul again anytime soon!

>let your customer know up-front that return is at 12:00 and not at 5 or 6pm as most people think of as the end of a day >if you are tall, like 6'2" or more, the truck cab is small ... you may want a back pillow for a long trip as the seats don't have room to recline.

When I picked up the truck, it was dirty. Bugs and dead birds on the truck! They told me that did not have the equipment to clean the truck!

The Uhaul was not in the location we reserved it for. The 2nd place didn't have the appliance dolley we had reserved. Had to go to a 3rd place.The lady at the 2nd place where we picked up the trailer was very nice, but we had to figure out how to get the trailer attached to the car, etc.... ourselves. Would have been nice to have someone help us!

We received conflicting information on the drop off point. The number we called told us to drop it off at the above location. When we arrived no one was there. A store next door located the manager and finally we were able to drop it off. This is the second time this has happened to us.

Very slow, and seemed to have a lack of knowledge of procedures. And I was charged an extra $8 for too many miles inspite of the fact that there was a bad wreck outside of Tuscaloosa on 20/59 yesteday afternoon that forced me to zig-zag around town a great deal (given my wasted time waiting they should ahve paid me). Other than stopping for lunch, no other movements off of 20/59 were made. Since I rented the truck to take tornado relief supplies to Tuscaloosa, the charge was low-life. I have rented U-Hauls fairly regularly for more than three decades, and have never had someone charge me extra when there was something beyond my control. I have another need to rent a truck in Tuscaloosa next year. I will avoid this outlet or find another company.

My only problem was the trailer swayed very badly. I am experienced with loading trailers, but I think there was something wrong with the axle/alignment. My truck got 8 mph and that is not normal even for a heavy load.
