The directions for obtaining the keys to the U-Haul truck were incorrect, and when I went inside to the U-Haul store and made the associate aware she said she knew of the issue but had not been able to get it corrected. After speaking with her she informed me how to obtain the keys to the truck. Then she said the dolly and furniture pads we ordered were not in the back of the truck and we would have to drive to another U-Haul location to get the needed supplies that were pre-ordered. Not a very good experience.

The app is terrible. The process and pipeline is seamless but the app itself doesn't realize the location even when the OS has given permission. Scanning the location tag doesn't work either because the camera never opened. Did it all online. If the app was more seamless I would use even more often than I do.

David BI had to run to the charlotte location to pick up the appliance dolly to make my move. I was very inconvenienced and had to spend more on fuel due to the extra running around. The truck was supposed to be guaranteed ready and it wasn't. I signed up for a person to be at the site and then it was switch to mobile. If I wanted mobile I would have done that in the first place. That took an extra 20 minutes to be able to get the truck and then to find out it was ready with the reversed equipment needed to make the move. Overall very disappointed with the service at this location. Luckily the Charlotte store was able to get me the dolly needed!
Matthew BThere is a disconnect between the online reservation system and booking moving help. If you are going to book help, there needs to be an upfront notice that you may need to guarantee your truck. My original reservation was for the Boone NC location. At around 12 pm the day before my scheduled move I received notice, I needed to pick up my truck at the Banner Elk location at 9am. The problem was my help was going to be at my house at 9am. I was going to pick up the truck at the Boone location at 7am day of move. Boone did not have a truck, so I had to go to Banner Elk location 14 miles away but they didn't open until 9am. All worked out but this could have been avoided if up front you were aware you may need to guarantee your truck.
Dana WThere was a oily substance on the step of the truck I fell and hurt my knee very badly, the dolly wasn't even U-Haul equipment. The lock on the back of truck wouldn't open. The truck would shake once you reach 50

Josh GI tried doing the on-line check in, but for some reason it wouldn't accept my birth year. It kept kicking the date back to the current year. I gave up and just did the check in at the location. The lady on location was very helpful!

bobbie pI had my partner drop off the uhaul and so I was not on site. Because of this, I lost $20 for your staff to "inspect". This was pretty frustrating, especially since I wasn't notified of the charge until the end of my rental period, otherwise I would've dropped it off myself. It felt very nickel and dime.
Alonnah MReserved furniture dolly and pads but they were not provided. Lock on lockbox was old and difficult to operate. Passenger side mirror shifted while driving, making it dangerous and difficult to change lanes.
Benny BThere was a problem with our 26' truck. The abs and traction control lights came on. We made it to our location but was told not to drive it back for the 700 mile return trip. We asked for a different truck and after waiting 2 hrs for a technician to arrive he could not do a thing to fix the truck. Waited another 3 hrs for roadside assistance to find another truck for return trip. Made for a very long day.

STEPHANIE CThe AC in the cargo van we were given was not working at all. The blowers were working but they weren't putting out cool air. It was 95-98 degrees the two days we had the van and it was miserable. I will be contacting UHaul directly and asking for a discount.

Was unable to get the return app to work when returning on Sunday a s this location was closed. Had to re contact rental location so a ss not to get charged a late fee. Actually returned early but wasted time trying to get the as app to work,. Very very very frustlrating. Will make me look for an alternate rental company......
