Why can't we return a U-Haul much closer to our destination??? We had to drive 30+ miles to return it where u told us to while there were u haul places within a couple of miles of our destinationLynn C.

Overall I had the worst experience with U-Haul today. First on my way to where my reservation was made I realized that my pick-up location changed to a Fort Stewart. How is it that a reservation changes to a military base with you knowing if I have access to on post? That right there messed up my entire schedule. I had to drop my family at the storage to go on post, get the truck (where the lady was trying to charge me when I literally paid 30 prior getting there) and head back. For my surprise when I get back to storage, my friends were also there to help move out (taking time from them) , I find out that the dolly truck wasn't on the back (and it was charged). I called and they told me I should get my money reimbursed when I return the truck. In the afternoon same thing, I'm getting ready to return the truck, text message saying location changed (further) . I get there the web page wasn't@ working, I called was on the phone for 30 mins, no one helped me. Finally, I downloaded the app and it worked. Is not the first time I rent moving trucks with you guys, but today it was one of those days that you say â€œnever againâ€AYRILIZ R.

Hard area to move in, not much space to maneuver. No one ever answers the phone and I never received a receipt for the drop off of the trailer. I asked for a receipt and was told it would be emailed and I have not received it.Frank D.

Didn't catch the name of the older gent that helped me drop off the trailer but he was exceptionally helpful. I was just a little surprised that we were diverted to his lot because it was clearly a neighborhood dealer that does U-Haul on the side. This location does not carry items such as mattress covers. Be sure to buy them elsewhere if needed. This location's primary business is vintage car restoration. The engine on my rental sounded loud, but it had been checked out by the highly competent mechanic at the location and it ran fine.Corey S.

Get A Better Location that doesn't charge more that regular Uhaul Location . This was a waste of money and I'm not happy how I was taken for my money . I also will never rent from that location ever again. And I will never refer anybody to rent from that location as well . I'm disappointed.jeanna G.

They were fine at alfred Street. However I am not happy with uhaul at all. Nothing went smoothly from pick up to drop off. Uhaul really dropped the ball and I do not intend on using uhaul again.Danyell B.

This is the 2nd time getting a truck That wasn't good and when call you try to fix no one can seem to help. The first screw up they billed me for a truck that was someone else's and never did refund the money (switched truck orders, I think had wrong truck number on order) and 2nd time lost the truck. We returned it and got a call stating we didn't return itRobert C.

Originally I was supposed to pickup a car carrier at THELMAS place in Hampton, SC. When I arrived no-one was there. I called the phone number listed on the web site and texted them but did not receive a reply. After wasting 30 minutes trying to find someone with knowledge of this place I gave up as I had an appointment in Savannah, Ga to buy a car. It was my intent to use the car carrier to tow the car back home. Once I purchased the car I found the nearest U-Haul place and rented a dolly to tow the car home. They only dolly they had required me to return it back to where I rented it. Therefore I had to make a second trip to Savannah which cost me an addition 25 $in gas and 4 hours of my time. It seems to me that you would know if your franchise location is on Holiday as I guess that's why no one was at Thelma's Place.Wayne R.

The ratchet part of the dolly was all corroded and it was hard to tighten the straps around the tires. Personally, I will check the equipment more closely before leaving the facility.Joel H.

I waited over 3 hours at a location only to be told to go get a truck from another location...waited on hold for over 1,5 hours just to be repeatedly transferred. Then had to go get a truck from a location in a neighborhood with homeless people all around in the middle of the night In a dark alley area. Then when I went to return my truck and was told to call 1800uhaul because they couldn't take it and were very rude. Next I called uhaul as they told me to do and got hung up on. Then called again and was told to go drop off at another location. I was told that I would be reimbursed by the representatives manager for the inconvenience and the fact that I had to pay movers for 6 hours who's service I was unable to utilize and the 50 $reservation guarantee fee in addition to additional miles but only saw an email for a refund of 50 $. I have used uhaul for over 20 years and never in my life have I had such a horrible experience. Not to mention, the situation caused me to miss work.bettina V.

When I booked the truck, I also booked some needed moving supplies to be picked up with the truck, (moving pads and a dolly). When we arrived to get the truck we were told that location did not have the supplies and that we needed to go to a UHaul store for those items. This information would have been helpful to understand when booking the truck and the supplies. In addition, the location was not well signed, not easy to find, and overall a bit shady, was not sure if it was actually a real businessRobert H.

Paul was great at this location. However, the original pick up location was not here and I received a text 2 days before pickup telling me the truck I had requested was in Rincon Ga, I had to make several calls and speak with someone at 912-234-3059 to get a truck at the above Garden City location which was close to my address instead of 24 miles away one way. This whole process was STRESSFUL because I had made the reservation on 5/23 and did not receive any calls or messages or emails outside of the text. I worried for 2 days that I would arrive and find NO truck available. The best part about the whole process was the movers I paid for via Honest Movers on the UHaul site.Sandra H.
