My truck was not available for self-pickup at the date/time of my reservation, it was locked in Auto Tech Rescue's private lot. Luckily Auto Tech Rescue was open during my pick up and an employee was able to retrieve the truck. Unfortunately the Furniture Blankets and Dolly that I ordered were not prepared and not made available for my rental. This caused the furniture I was moving to become damaged. We also strained ourselves moving furniture without the dolly. I clicked "no" in the app when asked if these items were provided but I was still charged for both. Why ask if the information isn't used? I also clicked "dispute" on the final billing screen but my card was charged for these items regardless. I now have to spend time filing a dispute with Uhaul.
Mitchell JDon't recommend auto rescue the guy is rude and lied multiple times. Wanted a brief walk through on how to ise with he ap for online check in. He canceled my online check in and forced me to pay a deposit of $233. Truck was covered in snow took me 30 minutes to chisel It off. Didn't let me know if the inspection but sent me a text about it as I drove off . Thankfully all the other people with UhAul were accommodating to make up for all the headaches this guy caused. He also told me my deposit would be refunded immediately at drop off when it's actually 3-5 business days.
Tamara VFirst time I've ever been billed for extra fuel. This van only gets 3km/ litre? The accelerator needs attention. Three times and each time before it was warmed up. My foot on the brake at a red light or stop sign, the vehicle had a rush of acceleration pushing me out into traffic without my foot on the gas pedal.

Amen NEntering the information correctly on the booking would definitely help in facilitating the return. When mentioned the fees would be returned due to the screw up at booking, honor that. Don't return the charges and then just recharge a different fee. Something else that might help is having the 1-800-go-U-Haul customers service agents deal with concerns that arise instead of just transferring and transferring to other lines to deal with it until someone is willing to correct the issue, that was caused by u haul

Joel OWell I'm not impressed that I paid cash for a deposit and now I have to wait till the mail strike is done to get my money back. I would like the money as soon as possible. If I can I would pick up where I dropped off the truck in Lloydminster . Please call and let me know asap ! Merci.
Bonnie LAdvice customer ahead of time that the system is fully automated & they should expect to do verification checks before & after through the system. Also it is not a good idea to use the verification system in cold places like Alberta. The temperature was -17C at drop off & having to take all the pictures was very painful & unsafe

Alexander CFull power of truck shut down while on the highway from Edmonton to Calgary. Speed gauge, fuel, temp, rpm, etc. Was not working due to power shut down, as well as the indicators inside & out, so drivers on the highway and main roads were not able to see my turning signals. Very stressful & dangerous experience. Found out when I got to Calgary location of UHAUL that the tires was unsafe to drive on.
JUSTIN NGot charged double for not filling up the tank. There was a $30 and another $40 both for gas. Lots of hidden charges. Total bill was way more than online quote when I booked!

Leslee HGas tank should be filled. I put in $34 right after I picked it up. I returned it full as I did not want to be penalized for bringing it in not full.
William RI already paid $539 when I got truck. Today they charge $581 extra that no make any sense. I have extra 20 day and 2000 total kilometers. When I call uhaul everyone just transferring my call to Calgary, edmonton, BC and again edmonton
VIKIBHAI PVery busy in the shop area and no person in the office. Extremely busy on the street and very hard to find a parking area.
Tim FDropped off around 6-6:30 pm Sept. 3 - no one around and very poor directions for parking return of vehicle. Next time I rent I would never use "self return".
Sheila ANever ever use U-hail again. This company is crook. U haul scammed me. First, I booked vehicle as one way rental which is $175 rental charge and $0,62 per km. I returned vehicle and they changed one way to town rental which is $29 rental charge and $1,09 per km. I drove vehicle from Edmonton to Calgary and came back which is approx 700km drive. That's why I booked it as one way rental. But they changed status without any notice and permission. Also I paid rental fee and insurance when I picked up vehicle, but on final bill, there are another charge of rental fee and insurance. I complaint to customer service and area manager or whatever called me. There is second issue. That rude person didn't even know the difference between one way rental and in town rental. He didn't even listen what I said and kept repeating 'hey bro, bring the calculator and add all numbers. It's right there is nothing wrong.' . My complaint was not the total number, whatever charged was wrong, but he didn't listen and not even trying to understand my complaint. I was so surprised how this person can be the area manager. There was no professional talk, no respect, no polite from this person. I hang up the phone and called customer service again. Even they understand the situation. They moved up the case over area manager, but I didn't even get the respond from Uhaul. This is scam. I can't believe how this situation happened and how the react the customers complaint by their mistake. Very disappoint and never work with this company.

Dakota MThe teller was very nice and chatty. He stopped helping me to answer the phone and spent 5 minutes dealing with the customer on the other end about their car. Pick up time was therefore longer than usual. I was also pointed to the rental, without the offer to do the look over the unit as I have had with other locations. Location was also closed when I returned the truck (even though I purposefully booked it during office hours. I returned at 2:58, and the website and sign on the door said open till 5pm, but no one was in the shop). I had trouble returning the truck because the uhaul app wasn't working properly and there was no one there to help me (again during office hours). Took half an hour to return the truck. I would still recommend to a friend because at the end of the day, I got the right size truck, and was successful in the move and return (although not smoothly). Would recommend for anyone who can self check in/out but not if you require assistance.

Jagjeet Gfriendlier and should explain properly the service the fees etc etc especially to us new users of u haul service rentals, and please show some empathy, not just letting them sign a contract paper have the time to properly inform about the service you are giving, I have many regrets why I bought your service in thid u haul branch

HARDEEP mTruck was not ready for pick up at this location. It was parked in a locked gate so we couldn't access it until someone physically came to the location. Could not pick up U-Haul using the app at 7am. It wasn't clean. It stalled and ran really rough.
Angie CIncorrect truck was ready for pick up. Took nearly an hour no one at uhaul got back to me so the guy working there made the decision to give me the truck I was assigned to. Ignition damaged on truck upon pickup and truck was not full so now I've been charged nearly $63 to fill up a truck when we did no use that much fuel
Hannah RFor the next customer, book for the full day. If you miss the return time, even if returned within the day and after hours, they will charge you a 2nd day fee.
Chad GThere were not straps or hooks inside the van to hold my luggage. I had to buy a new pair for $100 . In addition to that, they charge me$25 extra for cleaning. The cabin was already clean. I will never use u haul again.
