I wouldn't recommend any u haul place to a friend

As I was up charged for an ABSURD amount due to the minimal mileage I put on the vehicle during my move. In the finest print, it must have been mentioned that there was an 0,89/mile!!!!!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous!! Next time, I will SAVE MONEY AND EFFORT by hiring a movie company! You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Steve M.This was the second time I rented from this locatio and both times, they were so friendly and went out of their way to help me. I had a very bad experience with S.Plaza location, and even after they attempted to blackl ball me from any other location renting to me.Autoworks listened to my side of the story and made a truck available to me. I have a part-time lawncare business and use their trucks because my truck is down, and I had already lost 2 days of work due to the other location refusing to rent to me because I had a temp drivers license from DMV while I was waiting for permanent to come in the mail. I even had a copy of my valid drivers license attached. The manager at S. Plaza not only refused to rent it to me, she was extremely rude and did an email alert to prevent me from getting a truck. I got the license in the mail the next day and reserved the truck again. I walked to get it which is about 2 miles from my house. and I was told there were not any rentals of any kind available to me and my confirmed, guaranteed reservation was cancelled. I then walked to Auto works from there. which was another mile or 2, and told them what had happened and they helped me get a truck to be able to take care of my customers. They were awesome and saved my day. Thank you so much for helping me.

Richard M.An elderly man employed by Autoworks Automotive Repairs was extremely rude and unprofessional towards me. When i arrived to pick up my trailer and asked for it his reply to me was “there's a wall in front of me, i can't see what you are talking about†in the most condescending tone. When i told him that was rude he immediately placed his fingers over his lips as if to shut me up because a female employee was on the phone. That's something you do to a child at school not a customer at the business. He then asked if i received the text to upload my ID, i replied “noâ€, he again replied rudely saying “well i sent it to you a couple of timesâ€. He sent it and i received it right there and then. Fire Lee, that's how you could improve customer service. Otherwise i would NEVER recommend that business for any U Haul pick up.

But whoever puts in the orders for U-Haul needs to learn that when someone is using truck share 24/7 not to put it in the system as a hand delivery. Had to wait until the location to open to start the mobile phone pick-up because someone at U-Haul put it in as “Hand Deliveryâ€. Other than that it was fine.

David P.I made a reservation at a different location but received a text that it had been transferred to another location as their 10' truck wasn't available. I get to the new location more than 10 miles out of my way and of course they don't have me in their system. Next thing I know I'm told I have to take a 20' truck for twice the cost, but I said that's not necessary since I'm just picking up a couch. We finally compromise w the 15' truck. Of course there's a dead spot where I can't access internet on my phone so I have to walk a block to pick up signal to upload pics of my license. Fine. Go back inside to check out. I tell her my billing zip code has changed but she's in such a hurry that she uses my old zip from my license. Doesn't go through. Updates the zip and now there's an error code from the duplicate attempt and my card blocks the transaction. Cool. Now I have to use my friend's card to check out and Venmo her the money. So I get outside for the walk around inspection and of course the mileage/gas and truck serial number don't add up to what's on my phone. They gave me the wrong truck bc they couldn't find the keys for the truck assigned to me in the system. Whatever. Go pick up the couch and top off w fuel, get back 1,5 hours later to explain that they gave me the wrong truck but I had taken photos of the mileage for them and had the fuel receipt to show that id topped off. Another 15 minutes down the drain while the one girl trained the other girl on how to fix this in the system. What a mess!!!

Denise C.Honestly I would delete this location from you pick up spots. They messed up my pick-up time, tried charging me with 190 miles over what I drove, tried charging me for fuel even though I filled it up.

SARALIZABETH N.I tried to change my drop of location from VA Beach to my home in Oakland Maine. I was first told that it would be no problem. When I contacted the dispatch?? They said I could not change it. I barely had the trailer over one day on a 3 day use. Now I have to rent another trailer (perhaps I will shop) to trailer the car from VA Beach to Oakland Maine.
