Trailer tire and bushings broke 1/3 into my trip. Equipment looked fine, performed poorly.

WILLIAM WThe truck was filthy. The windows had bug guts all Over. They didn't even help us hook the car on properly to the trailer. Their system was down and I was given a different quote then what I actually paid. Pretty much said here is the key.
AMBER pThe equipment on site was dilapidated, and they had zero knowledge that their equipment was in need of service. I was afraid to 'moonlight' an extra trailer to my drop off location due to the condition of the equipment. The truck I drove for 7 hours had several alignment issues and there were patches made to the side walls of the truck tires.

Osvwaldo MThey charged me for fuel after I put more than enough fuel to cover what I used. When I picked it up it was a little over a 1/4 of a tank. I put up to a 1/2 of a tank before I returned it. They charged me for fuel saying I turned it in at a 1/4. AWFUL BUSINESS WITH UHAUL! Never again!
Heather HI wasn't sure exactly where to drop off he uhaul no one was there to help me and its not the location I had selected to drop it off at but received a text to drop off at this location. It was a wrecker yard but they were closed on saturday morning when I arrived.

kimberly THorrible smell in truck pet hair all over truck smell of vomit. Had to buy febreeze to deal with smell. No gas in truck totally empty took me 100 to fill up so upsetting and only truck and trailer available. I was totally let down price of rental was expensive as well.

LaVaughn Gthe trailer was beat up...the location was or seemed like a family run business...they where very nice I came from a 4 day work job stuck on a site (no showers) and went straight in cause I still had to pick up the car and was running a very tight time period. I felt so bad having to come in like that... the u-haul experience booking online was terrible. I scheduled for their location. it got moved across town then online people moved it 4hrs away... they still helped me...the mom was a very sweet person. very friendly people.

Eric HI wanted to rent a Uhaul van or pickup truck from Fort Stockton Texas. No vas or pick up trucks out of state rentals. No trucks available under 26 feet did not need that much or have that much money. My car had broken down and was not fixable. No transportation to Pecos had to bum a ride to go get 10 foot truck in Pecos.

Eugene GThough the reservation was for 10 AM, on the day of pick up they were not able to confirm the vehicle was available until after 15:30 (3:30 PM). After the hour and a half drive we had to make to get out to the pick up location, we waited an hour to even see service, then another hour to actually take control of the vehicle. Then, we had to wait *another* hour to take control of the trailer, as the trailer we had reserved was not at the location, and the only trailer at the location was not in their inventory. During this entire time, the location did not have proper air conditioning. They also did not have any moving supplies available for rent at all.
andrew jThe 6'×12' trailer I reserved had faulty brakes. This trailer hadn't been inspected before they issued it to me. I was the one who found the problem when I inspected it before I hooked it up. Had to down size to a smaller 5' × 8' trailer and was still charged for the 6'×12' trailer even though I was assured that the difference in price would be refunded.

The people working there were great ;however, there is a great need for trucks in this area, they were under staffed, the area was dirty and was like an automobile graveyard. The entire town of Pecos is like going to another planet, I hope that we will never need to go to west Texas again. That being said, our truck ran well, along with our car transport and we made it back to Houston safely.

YSACX FThis U-Haul was extremely, extremely dirty and messy-junk everywhere!! The girl was rude when I talked to her on the phone too and when we got there to the location, she was at first curt with us, very short with answers and when another customer called she was rude with him and put him on forever hold. I asked her if we needed a lock and she said no, later I noticed we did and they had no locks there. She told me the keys to the truck were under the seat of the truck or cup holder and I couldn't find them and it annoyed her that she had to go find them. The packing pads were loose in a dirty shed and just handed them to my husband and grandson. When we put them in the truck we counted them and were short 2. When my husband went back to ask for the 2, she said she had given them to us and my husband told her to go count them, so very annoyed she got up grunting and huffing that she had to go back to the shed. There was a big oily white bucket in front of the truck the she did not bother to move and I had to move the nasty thing. The dirt parking lot had so many pot holes everywhere and tall grass everywhere it was a challenge to get into the truck and get out of there. That location looked like a dump! I am so surprised that you have them working for you.
lilly mThis rental station was a joke. When calling the office lady was rude on the phone, she even told me that it would be expensive and then hung up on me. When we got to the office, they gave us the contract with the equipment Numbers and made us go out and find the truck and trailer and hook up everything ourselves. It was very windy and dusty and we almost walked away from the situation. We would not recommend this pick up office to anyone. They had three men sitting in the office playing on cell phones. No instruction at all on the truck or the trailer. Thank God for my husband who hooked it up.

Rodney ZWhen I signed the paperwork around 2:45 but still had to wait for them to bring the Uhaul around I actually didn't leave from there till 3:00 so they should have adjusted the paperwork and the fuel tank was on Empty ! But paper work showed 1/4 of a tank I was so upset .

Larry CAfter this experience I will exhaust all options before using uhaul in the future. I made a reservation at a location near my home to haul my things from Odessa to Houston. My intent was to pick up the trailer Friday morning, load it and drive to Houston, then Return the trailer after unloading it Saturday. I was working 60 miles EAST of Odessa when I got a call from uhaul Thursday after 3:00 P.M. to inform me that the trailer I'd reserved was no longer available at that location and that I'd have to pick one up in Pecos Texas. I called the uhaul location in Odessa where I'd made the reservation and they tried to help me. They called Pecos and made arrangements for me to pick the trailer up Thursday. However that location informed me that they close at 5:00 and would not wait on me. After driving from work to Odessa and picking up my truck, I left for Pecos. I called the Pecos location myself and explained the situation, then told them that my ETA was 5:05 and asked if they'd wait in me. They told me that they would not wait, but that I could call uhaul and get checked out via phone and they'd leave the trailer out for me. I called uhaul and was on hold for 40 minutes only to find out I could not checkout via phone. I drove well over posted speed limit to make to Pecos before 5:00 P.M. and did manage to get the trailer. I have to commend the Odessa Billy Hext location folks for their willingness to assist, as well as the Houston location for their friendliness and assistance at time of return. They girl that finally answered the phone was apologetic and sincere about trying to help, but everyone else involved was not very customer friendly at all. The person that called to inform me that my reserved trailer was not there was not nice at all and in fact RUDE when my wife called back.
SIFREDO OThe place I rented the uhaul from was overall as good experience. Employees were friendly and helpful. Where the problems lies was when I was billed on my credit card. I had 2 charges on my card. Called uhaul twice to get this resolved. Both times put on hold and the calls got disconnected. Didn't get a call back even though the 2nd agent got a call back # from me. Very disappointed. Anyone who rents from this company make sure to check your statements carefully.
