Owner of the truck very nice man
Maddison DThe store owner stopped prepping my rental several times to serve other customers. He also had no furniture pads, or dollies that I had reserved. Upon finally getting the keys, the truck was in an alley parking lot with a chained entrance. After pulling the chain anchor out of the post, I got to the truck to find a blinker and side mirror were busted, the cab was filthy, the truck bed hadn't been swept out, and the truck had an empty tank. I barely had enough to make it to the gas station. Customer Service was helpful to give me a gas credit for the empty tank but all in all it was a terrible experience and the guy only had the one truck (so getting another one wasn't an option). Go anywhere else first before renting here.
Alex RTRUCK I RENTED HAS A HOLE IN THE FRONT RIGHT OF THE TOP OF THE TRUCK... IF IT RAINED IT WOULD CAUSE MY EQUIPMENT TO BE DAMAGED... ALSO SOMEONE BROKE INTO THE TRUCK AND BROKE THE PAD LOCK ON THE TRUCK
DANIELLA CNot only did I I have to wait as he kept delaying my check out he was taking other customers for his other business instead of checking me out . Delayed my time. I also was supposed to be charged at 0,59 a mile when I booked the rental but then when I received the bill it was charger at $1,09 a mile ?

Nicholas RI am very upset I was told over the phone that I had 50 miles allowed for 24hrs for 150$ plus gas for a one way. When I received my receipt that was not the case I was charged an extra 20 miles when I should have only been charged 7 miles.
ASHLIE SI booked a Uhaul with a Dolly but there was no dolly.
Peter RLocation opened over 30 minutes late, which made me miss my window for help for movers. The location was not safe to be left alone waiting to pick up the truck either. I do not recommend this location. I'd recommend removing this as a pick up location.
Rachael OThe front passenger tire was low on air pressure but I was told I can drive it like that. For some reason the truck was sitting on the lot but I couldn't rent it before 2 o'clock, I couldn't understand why. Some thing about can't login before two or something. Everything else was fine and the price incredibly low. So I would use U-Haul next time

SALVADOR GThere was no attendant present during work hours. When I called the number on my contract and listed on the shop, I was connected to someone who didn't know anything about returning the truck. They transferred me to someone else who was extremely curt and hung up on me.

Veronica FUhaul allowed me to reserved the truck at 9:00am, although the location did not open until 9:30am. However, the shop was a small, locally owned shop and that shop owner did not arrive until almost 10am. I had a time crunch this day, and having to wait for the owner/staff was very inconvenient. I already completed online check-in prior to arrival, but then had to go through the whole check-in process again with the staff inside which took a long time. The location didn't have a furniture dolly for me to use either, even though I paid for one.
Joseph WBouba assisted me at the front desk and he was very knowledgeable and friendly! He made the process very quick. I would definitely rent from this location again!

JAKE SWhile everything about the location was great, I had a pretty bad experience renting the U-Haul truck. I reserved the 10 ft truck online and got a confirmation email saying that I had reserved the 10 ft truck and utility dolly. However, when I got to the pickup location, the u-haul reservation that the worker was looking at said that I had only reserved the utility dolly. Then, to add the truck, I had to call U-Haul and wait on hold forever to speak with a representative. When I finally reached someone, he helped me reserve the truck just fine, but added the safe zone insurance without asking me if I wanted it. I didn't want it, but was charged, so I lost $14. I rate the total experience 2 stars out of 5 and was unhappy with the process. My call was forwarded to customer service for a discount but I waited on hold for more than 30 min until the line was disconnected, and never received a discount, although I should have for all of the trouble that U-Haul put me through.

Marion HWhen we dropped off our truck the two guys inside the store would not look at the truck or sign off that we delivered it. They wanted the keys and dolly and blankets but did not help us in any way confirming that we dropped off the truck in good condition and full of gas. They said they normally rent out vans for Uhaul and are not a drop off site. However, when we reserved the truck in Portland OR it was one of the sites we were allowed to drop off our truck. We chose this location based on it's closeness to our LA destination. These guys were not professional at all and only cared about their tobacco business...go figure. We had to call UHAUL which took way too long and then leave it up to chance that all would be okay. We took lots of pictures and were stressed that something would happen to the truck and we would be responsible. It was NOT UP TO UHAUL STANDARDS AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. WE WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION FOR UHAUL RENTALS OR DROP OFF! After all that we did get a final bill and were charged for gas, stating that the level was below their required 7/8, even though we followed their recommendation for how much gas to put in. This is the only proof that we got that Uhaul did get their truck back. Pretty poor...

Yaakov GSCAM! I drove 12 miles total and had the truck for exactly 2 hours (picked up at 11:30 and dropped of at 1:30). I used it to pick up a mattress and take it to my apartment to avoid shipping costs. It should have been $65 max. I asked for a receipt when I returned the truck and he just said it would get emailed to me the next day (Wouldn't tell me how much). I got the email and it was for $156. They charged me for driving 125 miles at $1,19/mile! I literally only drove 12 miles exactly.

fernando vDidn't get a proper carpet dolly or our desired number of blankets (5 vs the 20 we requested). The blankets smelled like smoke as well. Fortunately, the truck was in good shape and ran well for a 1 000 mile drive.
ALEXANDER WWell since my recent rental went textbook perfect there is really no place I can go to with this. Every time I done a rental from U-Haul zero problems have come up. From where I live there is always a local U-Haul near by that if I don't dum out and don't try doing a reservation at the last moment, they have the type vehicle I would like to rent. The vehicles have all been pretty new and very clean. The employees I come in contact with are always cordial, accurate and personable. What else can I say?

Marta FThe Vehicle rental facility was located in a tobacco smoke shop (hole in the wall Hookah smokey shop area), Covid19 protocol was NOT implemented, van was not sanitized or cleaned. My family and I had to sanitize, clean the windshield, cab, and cargo area. No receipt was available at the time of rental, either at the rental facility or in my email at the time I picked up the vehicle. I fueled the van to the 3/4 tank level 10 minutes prior to returning it (photo of gauge are available)! I am still upset about the entire rental process. I had to called U-Haul (800) 468-4285 to address all of the issues (except the fuel issue) with no satisfaction.

Joseph JThe car was extremely dirty inside and out. It was so dirty I drive it straight to a car wash to detail clean the car before I put my things near or inside the van.

vanik kVan was just filthy outside. After picking it up I had to wash all the widows to safely be able to see out of the windows. The interior was not very dirty but by far not clean. Overall the van was fine other than the dirt
JEFF AHave better attendants in Uhaul's spots, require documents during the website sign-up, not at the moment of car pickup. I waited for 1 hour to have my driver license and photo ID confirmed.

Jacob BOUT Mileage was not accurately reported, per my physical contract it was written as 1007mi by the Beverlywood Tobacco associate AND I took a photo of it for back up when I left at 6:40p. When I returned 15mi later it was listed on my bill as EIGHTY-FOUR mi driven which is impossible to drive in less than 3hrs in Los Angeles during rush hour, not to mention the expense of this. I am extremely frustated by this as I was driving 7mi to and from, stopped to add gas back and returned it at 8:20p sharp. I have been on hold for billing for about 20 minutes now which is making this experience worse as I was originally just annoyed, but now I am upset. Very disappointed
Brittney WThe UHaul did not come with the moving pads I ordered, which was a big problem. My understanding is that this was a failure on UHaul's part, not Beverlywood Tobacco.

John SIt wasn't the guys fault but I was due to pick up at 9:30 and no one was there, had to wait to 10, but the office did say they would give me a credit, haven't seen it yet. BTW, the man who runs the place was professional and friendly, it was just the time for pick-up, he was in a traffic jam but maybe they should think about having someone else as a back up to open on a Saturday. Otherwise everything was excellent.
