I booked a 20 foot truck on a Tuesday for a Saturday pick up and it was confirmed. I then received a call on Friday saying that they didn’t have a 20 foot available and could only provide me a 15 foot that was 17 miles away. I had to pay for those additional 34 miles instead of being provided a truck from one of the many locations that were 3 miles from my home. I returned the truck within 24 hours and the shop was closed on a Sunday however when I received the final bill they had charged me another $70.00. They listed the truck as being returned on Monday when the shop had opened up, which resulted in another safe move charge and daily rental rate and then they charged me a 10.60 cleaning fee however I had already swept the truck clean and they couldn’t provide me any pictures to show that it was dirty. I ended up paying 200.00 for a uhaul to move a half mile from my old house to my new house. It cost me that same amount when I moved with a different.m rental company an hour and a half apart in distance in the past. This was the most stressful experience and I wouldn’t recommend uhaul. You are better off using another company that doesn’t cheat you out of money.

We were instructed to leave the trailer in an empty parking lot with no lock (in a college town). Owner called a day later wondering where the blankets were - which were left in the back of the trailer. Poor service.

It was slightly pricey. The price per mile was higher than I ever seen it. It was not a bad experience but not very customer friendly.

So much water damage and bug ridden. The mold is gross. This box was in the care of u-haul for 2 months. It took so much to get it moved and delivered. We were overcharged and spent hours on hold to resolve issues and finally get delivery. The local offices need more knowledge and training in order to solve issues. I hope to never have to use UHaul again. The moving company that finally delivered the goods were rude and pushy and were only focused on getting the job done, not done right. I will be filling a claim. I do believe UHaul needs better customer service training and uniformity across the company with its individual locations. Better screening on locations is also necessary.

You switched locations on me, causing me to go out if my way. Not inviting or very friendly, not even a smile, I had to wait for 5 minutes, although no one else was there for Uhaul. I don't remember a thank you for your business. I felt like I was inconveniencing them?

I’m still waiting on my Ubox. After calling Uhaul EVERYDAY. I delivered my full ubox back to its location on 5/11. I was told as well as it being advertised online that I would get my box in 10 days and that I could change my reservation. None of those things have happened. Every day I called back to make sure my reservation was changed after the day before someone told me it was and it was not. My box sat in Shepherdstown for OVER A WEEK, before it was ever picked up for delivery to my new location. I’ve been living in a house since the 21st which I have none of my stuff. No clothes, no pots or pans, NOTHING! The only reason I’m even getting my box delivered on the 30th is because after calling EVERY SINGLE DAY, I finally spoke with someone in the Oklahoma regional office who made a bunch of calls for me. I’ve also opened an action file and still haven’t heard back about why I’m paying over $1400 for my stuff to arrive 20 days after I’ve packed it!

The pick up location was great! The man was more than helpful with pick up, payments and questions. However, Uhaul as a company was an extreme disappointment to put it nicely. I called to have the reservation changed to a 24/7 pick up at 5pm. The lady assured me she changed it. Come to find out at pick up at 10pm, she did not change it. It took 20 minutes to get it changed. Then, Jasmine at live verification denied my pick up bc "I was rushing." Its now nearing 11pm. Im on hold for 32 minutes only to find out I need to do the live verification all over again. That took another 20 minutes. I waited for over an hour to pick up my prepaid rental. The van itself DC 1004 H was a busted mess. I do not recommend Uhaul.

The truck VIN 1FDXE4FS1CDB22455, license plate AE 57993 had faulty brakes and almost got us into accident twice. When the brake pedal was pressed, the truck would slow down and jerk but did come to a full stop. We drove at 35 mph at most and yet I would not be able to make it stop at a busy intersection as ut continued jerking and itching forward no matter how hard I would press. You advertise the rental rate at 29.99 but my bill for a 35 mile ride added to almost 110 dollars before I was given a 10 dollar "discount". Your rep was faulting me for no having refueled the truck while were lucky to make it in one piece and get rid of that clunky monster asap. Does the law allow you, folks, to rent trucks with faulty breaks? That was the first and last time I used u-haul un my life. I confess I hate you, simply hate you for your reckless disregard for your customers life and ripping them off with a dollar-a-mile rate, useless insurance and an extra "refuellung" fee of 22 dollars for a 35 mile ride. I am traveling internationally now but I will talk to a lawyer when I'm back in August. And I'll do my best to spread awareness of your business "practices".
