Contactless drop off did not work. As with the pickup process, my camera went black when I tried for the dash picture. Upon call the national number I was told that the problem was because I was not using the UHAUL app. If use of the app is required, the directions for self pickup and drop off should say so. This was the second location that i was sent to for picking up the Uhaul. Brown's was wonderful. When I got to Fast and Friendly ( the original location) for a 9:00 a.m. pick up I was informed that the Uhaul representative was out on a tow job and that it would be at least an hour. I called customer service and they pointed me to Brown's with a $50 credit. Fast and Freiendly is not a good representative for you company.. I am thankful that Brown's they made the check in process easy and pleasant. THANK YOU.David B.

Your â€œtrackingâ€ is the worst. 4 months to get to the correct location. What a complete disaster of a shipping method. No less than 20 phone calls to try and track the package down throughout the entire delivery process. Each phone call no less than a 30 minute wait time to talk to an individual telling us â€œthat's terrible and we are sorryâ€ and yet they didn't have a clue and could not help the process. Honestly, the biggest problem with this process was coordinating delivery/pick up after my UBox arrived at its location. For a logistics company, UHaul did a horrible job coordinating schedules. I tried to schedule delivery of my full UBox while it was in transit, but was told I couldn't until it arrived. When it arrived, there was a 2+ week wait to schedule the first available delivery date. It pushed me into another month of UBox rental (and insurance). Even though I got confirmation about delivery (and pickup) of my UBox, no one showed up on either confirmed day. It was frustrating and unprofessional. The people I spoke with were very nice, that wasn't the issue, it was the follow-through on promises/schedules. This is especially frustrating because I had to take time off work and schedule moving help...and had to keep changing plans. Honestly, had I not taken to Twitter to complain about things, I doubt I would have gotten prompt resolution about the delivery of my full UBox. I don't know where the breakdown happened, but based on my experience I will NOT be using the UBox service again. The drop off of the empty box and the transportation to the destination was wonderful. Everything after that was a mess.Dana M.

First off, I am a female senior. 1.) When picking up the rental truck: a. The equipment that I reserved was not available. I wasn't offered an apology or resolution except for the offer of a larger and more expensive truck to drive. b. U-Haul's website wouldn't work correctly. It would not load my driver's license photo and the clerk, Ronnie, acted like it was my fault even though he tried it himself. I was not given another option for that step of the process either, even though I asked for one. Why couldn't he just scan/copy my license? I've never seen a business that didn't have a copy machine of some kind. All the while, I'm already stressed because I was moving and was to meet the movers a half hour after pickup and had quite a drive from the pickup location to my place. c. The truck that I did eventually wind up with needed maintenance. ( A tune-up and a front wheel alignment, to start.) I had to drive it below the speed limit to feel like I had some control of the vehicle. It was nerve-wracking! When I returned the vehicle was the best part but, that's not saying much since I was completely ignored because Ronnie was on the phone. There wasn't even a chair to sit in while I waited and I was exhausted from the move. At least the drop-off wasn't as time consuming as the pickup but, at that point, I was already done for the day so, it didn't really matter how long it took. I will never rent from this location again and Do Not recommend this location to anyone.Tamara R.
I had reserved a cat carrier a week in advance for pick up in my home town. I had to drive over and hour to pick up the trailer because U Haul didn't have the trailer available. I'm not happy with U Haul's inability to have a trailer at the designated pickup point. I also tried to drop off the trailer closer to my destination and had to drive 35 minutes to drop it off when a U Haul location was within 6 miles. I won't use U Haul again.BRADLEYR S.

The agent either purposely or inadvertently added Insurance ($28 a day) to my Rental 2day rental contract which I Didn't "ask for" or consent to, and misrepresented the cost per mile @ $1 dollar per mile. When the final invoice reflected a cost of $1,29 per mile while is 30 % above what I was quoted upon pick up. These two small discrepancies created a profound difference in the price/cost of the final billing statement ðŸ'³ðŸ'²â€¼ï¸ And I'm disputing the UpchargeMIKE B.

The truck we received was a newer one, (15,000) miles) which we appreciated, however, there was a transmission issue that Thank goodness we were not towing anything because the tow feature was broken. Then upon returning, I received multiple calls to bring the truck back before our drop off time. So we dropped it off a day early. The only time we were available to drop it off was after hours. So now, I get billed for after hour drop off? We will not use Uhaul going forward.Barbara A.

First, I reserved a truck through the uhaul 1 800 number 4 weeks in advance. When I called to confirm the week before to my local rental dealer they had no record of my reservation, even with a confirmation #. Luckily, they had ONE 26' truck available for my move or another rental company would have had my business. Second, the local rental company, browns tire and auto in martinsburg, wv, were less than informative at pickup. Scott basically handed me the keys, said the "truck is over there, note milage and gas" and that was it. I do have some experience driving trucks from years ago, a 10 ton dump but, a novice would be lost. In any event, I had the truck for 2 days and got my household moved.Robert L.

This experience was absolutely amazing! Brown's took care of us and made the whole process as streamlined as possible! We had tried to reach out to 4 other locations closer to us Cupp's, Global preowned, Inwood mini storage, and one other location ALL either didn't answer or wanted to leave a voicemail. The reviews also for these locations were not very good specifically in relation to the UHaul rentals, hidden fees, unkempt trucks, poor customer service etc. someone should review these locations above they are hurting your potential business. We can not however say any of those things about Brown's tire and towing! Amazing experience and if we ever need a UHaul again you can believe this is where we will go. AAA+!ASIA IRENE N.

The location was fine, although they changed our pickup time from 10 am to 8am the day before we were to come, and then the truck and UBox weren't ready at 8 after we'd driven 45 min to get there. UHaul was TERRIBLE. First the Ubox was not slated for pickup on the correct day. Correcting that on the phone w/ a rep took over 4 hours!! The online system couldn't link our reservation with our account, even after an additional hour on the phone with another rep! Therefore we couldn't use our phones for contactless pickup or dropoff. Our online reservation did not have Safemove, and we didn't want it. However, we have been charged for it and the location says there is nothing they can do. We will never use UHaul again.ROBERT D.

The associate that I spoke with did not identify himself. I suspect that the reason for that is that he was quoting exorbitant rates for the one day rental of a 10' truck. At final checkout the safemove and safetow plans I declined on the internet reservation had been added on. Check your receipt before you take the keys. To improve, how about you don't add stuff on to my reservation that i didn't ask for; it seems like someone pulling money out of my wallet and hoping i don't notice - in any other arena, that would be theft. 24 hours later i am still arguing the charge and am hoping my credit card company will solve the problem.
