Mobile check in was horrible. Then we had to go in person check in. Made us wait out in freezing temps, noone wore masks but us, employee smoking inside.
My rental was originally in Jackson, NJ. then they moved it to cherry hill, NJ. Then they changed it to Cherry Hill, NJ (52 miles away). They did not have the trailer. Called Main office and told me the only trailer available was in Cape May and I had to be there in an hour and a half, 84 miles from Cherry Hill. I sent the entire day traveling the state of New Jersey and was not offered any discount. My understanding was that the original dealer in Jackson rented the trailer to someone else.
Chains too long and dragging on pavement. Electrical connection same problem. Bad tire blew out in Orlando, Florida on I-4.
We originally were supposed to have a 15' truck and picking up at another location. When we got there they had no truck for us and said that U-Haul never sent them the reservation, nor had anyone called us the night before as stated on the reservation confirmation. I will never rent from U-Haul again. What a disgrace but thank goodness for Riggins who happened to have a trailer for us.
The mobile checkin and checkout process is really not an option at this location. Friendly enough on the checkin, but had to run my card. I checked out w the mobile but they had asked me to stop at the office and I was basically ignored. I drive by there every day. Won't be stopping for service, gas, or anything else.
These guys answer their ph and are very easy to work with - rented there twice now.
Reserved a 15' truck weeks in advance. Confirmed with the location a day earlier that they had the truck I had reserved. Arrived to rent and U-haul computer system was down and had been down for at least 12 hours. Advised they would call when it was working. Never got a call so went back. It was on but they did not have my truck or any others. Was exploring renting a trailer when the truck I reserved was returned. Then I was told that the truck was committed to another rental the next morning, despite me standing there with a reservation. Bottom line, no truck, had to use trailer and make 5 trips in lieu of one. Very unreliable asset management thus don't rely on your reservation.
Nothing JT and Bobby where excellent in this process. I hope to deal with them again in the future. Was very pleasant and they even hooked my trailer up for me and checked my lights. Very nice gentleman.
Everything done quickly. Had me in & out on check out & return. Unit clean & nice.
i was supposed to pick up in one location got moved to another. I was supposed to just pickup without seeing anybody but had to wait 1 hour before I could leave.
At least the windows and driver area should cleaned even if there is not time to wash the exterior.
Very quick friendly an explained everything well
I booked to pick up at Goodman's and he told me he had the trailer and when I shown up it wasn't there. Goodmans is clueless And disorganized. I wouldn't go to him again. Cape May Riggins was significantly better
Trash left in trailer, location was switched from Pearce Tire to this location and no one called me. Guy who hooked up the trailer had to read the directions on the side of the hitch to know how.
The issue with uhaul is not the locations it's uhaul itself if you can go with any other company you should
Get the customer the 26' truck they reserved, not a 20' truck.
I have been a customer for over 20 years. I may never rent another uhaul. If it were not for the people that work for you, this rental would never have happened. Your online service using cell phone cameras is outrageous . Your return of equipment does not work. Your employees in Danbury made it work.
The owner, Barney, goes out of his way to accommodate! My only gripe is your cost per mile ... should be a flat rate for distances, i.e. 25 miles, 50 miles, and price graded accordingly or a reduced rate as the mileage increases. If I was going to Florida at the rate I was charged, it would be exorbitant! I could do 14 round trip flights to FTL from Atlantic City? Other than my one gripe, location is very good and U-Haul is very good! Thanks - Gregg Coffey
Front desk person could have been a little more pleasant and you guys could offer either AAA or AARP discount
Customer service reps were informative and helpful. Everything was explained thoroughly, including the estimate prior to use of the van was close to the actual amount charged.
Everything was fine. I actually got there earlier than they asked and they still allowed me to take the vehicle which helped me quite a bit
The gentlemen were very friendly and the pick up was lightening fast.
The manager and his staff were extremely kind and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised with their willingness to immediately help me and provide assistance in returning the trailer.

Wait time on telephone was excessive
There was a blown out tire on the passenger side on the outside tire of the double axil. I only noticed it around 3/4 of the way through the trip. I think I picked it up that way because it was really hard to see that it was an empty tire.
Customer Service was Excellent. I would definitely go back again or recommend them.
Be more clear on what the charges are.... was under the impression that I was receiving a credit once returned to destination on time and in clean damage free condition..

Friendly staff very accommodating - i would rent from them again
The pick up site was great. However your website and internal communications is lacking... I requested a 5x9 utility trailer online. I received a phone call from U-Haul stating that this trailer was only available 45-50 miles from my home, I at that point styled for a trailer I didn't want that was supposedly at a site 10 miles from my home. While driving around town I saw two separate U-Haul sites with the trailer I requested within 1 mile from my home. I canceled the reservation for a trailer I didn't want and rented onsite from Riggins and saved $5.00 over the internet reservation. Riggins saves the day, U-Haul caused stress...
I was miss informed I was told I paid for the uhaul and dolly for 2 days and was charged for another day on both. Also my gps sent me the wrong way which made extra miles I really didn't need to go. The mirror on the truck was folded in. But the men did help in some ways. Which I am glad they did.
Barney was not at all pleasant. Not helpful. My first Uhaul experience. I'm female. Had questions. He made me feel stupid. Did not explain things. Tim saw my frustrations and kindly came over and helped, he was a lifesaver.

The process was quick and simple. The personnel were very professional and took the time to explain the entire process. I also enjoyed the fact that when I returned the vehicle there were no surprise hidden cost.

To improve the company should have the truck that was scheduled for pick up at the location it was scheduled for. If that changes for one reason or another, I shouldn't have to pay for the extra miles used.

Employees have no idea of rental procedure
My dissatisfaction is not with location of pick up, but with UHaul. I was very upset that my location had been changed from less than a mile away to over five miles away adding unnecessary stress and cost. Also, I needed a utility cart and there was not one available. In fact, no dolly was available. I reserved online to have a smoothe move close to my home with a dolly. I did not have a smoothe move. I've used UHaul several times in the past, but I will rethink my choice if I ever need a convenient way to move. Also, the pricing online quoted me closer to $50 for the move and as it turned out I paid over $85 for a simple local move. I am extremely upset. Debra Skain
The guy who we spoke when returning had a foul mouth in front of customers including woman and child. He also wanted to double charge us when we had paid in advance. The guys when we picked it up were pleasant, polite and extremely nice. They really helped and had amazing customer service.
