The vans windows needed cleaning before I could drive anywhere - there were bugs & tree dander everywhere. I was also disappointed in the cost - advertisements for $19,99 is a false claim when mileage and other fees are not included. This 9 hour rental cost me a surprising $243,1! I could have rented a van else where for $100 without the ,69/ mile fee. I have used Uhaul in the past and they were always the least expensive for a no frills cargo van to move things. Unfortunately, I don't think I will use Uhaul again. The cost is not worth it for a noisy no frills vehicle. Sorry but … what happened to what used to be the best option?

the truck inside was dity, we found debris in the back, the staff was not helpful, when returning the truck at 9:30 pm the person at the counter made me come back at 10 because he does NOT know how to do returns and no one can help. I came back at 10 pm to give the keys back and the person that handles returns, . explained to him the situaton and his reply was " oh well" , unaccepptable...Will never use or recomend this place to any one not even my worst enemy

Staff was courteous and helpful. Got I everything I needed. Van ran well. Drop off was easy. Location is safe and clean. Definitely would recommend to use.

I wanted to recognize Noah, the computer was down and he went above and beyond to help me. He got us checked in and on the road! And he had a smile the whole time!

The person working at the gas station has no clue what to do when I came to pick up the U-Haul. I had to fill out the details myself on his phone because he was confused. Then he gave him a truck that was unable to be moved because it was stuck behind another truck. And then the truck I got into had the incorrect mileage and gas levels and the odometer was broken.

Though I made reservation online for pick up location 197 Main Street, Cheshire it's changed later to 311 west Main Street, Meriden! When I contacted them correcting pickup location they simply told me that all the equipment at 197 Main Street are reserved for out of location services so I need to pickup from 311 west main st, meridian only. Luckily I got it changed by U-haul customer service at last hours so I was able utilize services from 197 Main Street, Cheshire, which is nearby for my place. I appreciate if you guys respect customers convenience than forcing Thanks

Bring the truck around front to the customer. That was a tight squeeze between the building and the fence Only inches on either side of the truck.

I was asked to go to this location instead of the one I pre-paid for because the reservations did not hold. The location is a convenience store, which was well maintained and easy to pick-up the truck; although, the person who was assisting me was in charge of not only trying to rent out the U-haul, but also see customers visiting the store. This made it difficult trying to obtain the truck, although I was satisfied with the service. The truck was located in an alleyway that was tight getting out because if the customers parking their cars at the exit I needed to pull the truck out from.

I would not recommend this location as I was charged for gas which is clearly fraud as I filled the U-Haul up at this gas station that I was returning the truck to and I have the receipt. I also returned the truck the same day that it was rented and was charged for 2 day rental instead of 1 day. I don't have a problem paying but clearly not for dishonesty. I will be reaching out to U-Haul Corporate office to make sure a report is filled. I will not rent from U-Haul in the future.

pick up location's clerk unjustly charged me for fuel when the truck wa s fully fueled when I returned.

No receipt for drop off. barely could be bothered to help me. "Take a picture of gas and mileage for proof"- really? How about a receipt? I did this for convenience, which it was.

Unfriendly service no one went over anything. Person wasn't in th store to go over details it was just a cashier handing me th keys and telling where truck was in back of gas station. Didn't even pull truck out for me. Worst experience they I've had and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The amount of gas documented in the context was in accurate. I have a photo to prove it was 1/2 full. The contract said 5/8. I didn't realize this when I took the U haul off the lot. Now I'm stuck paying for extra gas.

Worse experience, was charged for gas when it had the same amount when we brought it back. Charges for blankets and received none, had to argue with a worker that they couldn't give the truck I reserved to a lady that wanted just because she was there first, actual guy that worked there took 45 minutes to show up to get us the keys, he wasn't there to talk to when we dropped it off, waited over 45 minutes on hold with "customer service' shite company to deal with Never again

When we rented the U-HAUL vehicle, FDR Towing insightfully left our return option to our choice. The U-HAUL website was very helpful in helping us to identify the closest return location and the folks at Cheshire Food Shop completed a very pleasing experience. Our thanks to all who assisted in the time following our en route deer strike.

After being told to come back in an hour because the clerk didn't know how to rent out a truck, I found out the truck was blocked by snow. I asked the clerk of I could take a different truck that want blocked, he told me to cancel the reservation and get a uhaul from a different location. I needed the truck right then, so I spent an hour digging the truck out of snow to finally get it out. No help was offered, no discount, terrible service, now I won't even go there to get gas or anything else.
