I suggest just look it over and make sure everything moves and operates like it should. I mean in the main pivot pin if it is left ungreased or not maintained it could snap and the customer will loose what they are hauling. I was taught return it or leave it better then you found it. So i took silicone spray and srayed all moving parts before i returned it and checked the yires to make sure i didn't hit anything that would put a hole in the tire. I did this because it helps the place that rents these out to know hey if this guy rents from me I know i will get it back in good shape. Also it helps the company in a whole to know some people do not abuse their stuff. I think that and this is me that when you return any thing that is rented to out it should be returned to an authorized mechanic shop to give it a once over and say hey look for instance a truck gets droped off to the mechanic and he pulls in it in and gives it a 32 point inspection and to make sure everything is in correct operation to be rented out. This can also be looked at as prevented maintenance this way you have records of what is done and can decide if it was abuse or just regular maintenance issue. This way it builds your name for the best rentals out there and also helps out other business.

U-Haul mistakenly charged my account for $212 twice. I called and charges were reversed but my checking account was comprised and I had to close my debit card. Also a U-Haul near my home had 15foot one way trucks available but I had to drive (in the rain) to another location in Glencoe, MN., 45 minutes away.

There was leftover food in the cab from the last person. Also, there was significant damage on the cargo door of the truck that apparently this location did not document so when we dropped it off they tried to blame us for which was very upsetting. I called Christensen Auto to ask them about it and he didn't remember the damage, the truck or us even though it was just two days prior.

The representative didn't know how to rent any of the items kept having to call people for help. And the trailer had the paint pulling and the door did not like to go up very nicely.

The location I was assigned was 50 miles from my requested location. I was not notified of this until one day before. I called to change the location and the regional representative hung up on me. I have never before been hung up on by a customer service rep. The person I picked it up from was the rudest person I have ever interacted with. We were 10 minutes late. He called at 8:05 (5 minutes after open) and he called and said "where are you" and that he could have "slept in more." I was stunned by the manner in which he would speak to a paying customer who had to drive 50 miles.

The business was very dirty. Owner extremely rude! Completely talked down about the U Haul company itself. I will NEVER rent from uhaul again because of this man. He is Completely unprofessional, incompetent, rude and just overall unpleasant. I would rather go hours out of my way to rent from a different company than EVER have to deal with this man again! Complete jerk!

Center console and cup holders were filthy. Previous customer did not clean up spills which left the entire console dirty and sticky. We tried to clean it up as best we could before returning truck. Otherwise we were very happy with our rental experience.

Dennis (Agent that I spoke with at pick up and drop off) was very rude and brash. The dolly came with flat tires so I was unable to use and I don't recall ever requesting pads. I couldn't get them off when making the reservation they just kept coming back on. We never used them so literally they sat on the side. I paid $27 for two materials that were completely worthless. And the agent didn't care he was very unfriendly and just had a blah oh well attitude. Will go back to Chaska and pay the extra mileage for the better service next time.

My truck had a low tire warning and the gage wasn’t reading the psi. $100 insurance was added on without my permission even though I had already removed it when I initially made my reservation.

Have a lock box way of picking up the keys. Have an updated location and image of where trucks are stored because the current one is inaccurate. Train folks on the contactless pick up instructions.

I was told the gas would start at 7/8 of tank, but it started at 1/4 of a tank. Because I had to stop for gas, I was late to the meeting with my new landlord. I also scheduled an 8am pickup two weeks in advance, and he changed it to 7:30am the day before the pickup, and cut a full hour off of the time I'd be allowed to rent the vehicle.

The truck was one of the worst I've ever driven. There would be no way for the pick up location to know. I found the owner at the pickup location to be excellent and he went over and above for me. With that said, I will most likely never rent from UHaul again. The truck was a pile of crap, and the trip took me two extra hours because you couldn't drive more than 62-65 most of the time. The truck shook too bad. Also, I found the cleanliness of the truck to be horrible and it smelled bad. I have nothing but the utmost respect for the agent in Glencoe. But I'm thoroughly disappointed in UHaul. Spent 2000 dollars and definitely don't think I got what I paid for.

My original location was Bloomington and then switched to Glenco. Doable but added extra time to the pick up that we did not plan. Appreciated the extra 60 miles added to cover the distance.

The location was great. However the fact I was told at 5:00 the night before my pick that I had to drive an hour, vs 5 minutes, to pick it up was disappointing to say the least. Terrible way to manage expectations.

This uhaul place goes above and beyond. It's you uhaul itself that sucks big time!!!! Your rates are to high. To deal with you sucks beyond sucks!!! I've had to rent 5 trailers from you in 14 months no discounts no nothing period but a huge headache from not the places themselves but uhaul directly. Your company and manners suck prices are way to damn high yet your customers mean nothing to you period. It's all about your damn money money money.

Dealer told me that service rep from U-haul was out but the tailgate needed a crowbar to raise. Dealer sprayed the track to help it raise and lower a bit easier.

I had a terrible experience with U-Haul, including them first switching my pick-up location, then losing my reservation, and finally sending me over an hour away to pick up a truck that ended up not being available. The man who ran the Glencoe location was very helpful and accommodating - he let me take the 10 foot truck (I had rented a 15) that is supposed to stay within Glencoe across state lines. I will unfortunately not use U-Haul in future truck rentals because of the unprofessionalism from managers and the inconveniences that occurred because of U-Haul's system.

We didn't fill the gas, but figured we'd just get a charge for it (which we did). Hours later I got a nasty phone call from an unpleasant man telling me I didn't fill the tank and left the blankets unfolded (which we didn't request). Speaking as a Customer Service Manager, he was not very customer friendly. We will take the extra time to drop off elsewhere next time.

The guy was a a**hole if you ask me not very nice at all we were running late to get the car dolly and running late to get it back i said I needed it for 3 hours but it took 3 hrs and 45 mins but about 3:50 he called me and was asking if i was on my way back yet and my 3 hrs wasn't even up i have rented uhauls before but this is my worst one ever

Would not recommend uhaul to a friend. Very poor experience unrelated my experience once there. Was told two days prior I'd have to travel over an hour to get my truck. My previous location was 1 of 3 in town. At this point it's too late to change companies. They should have driven a truck to one of the locations closer to me. At the very least should have reimbursed gas to and from. They did not.
