Location of pick up, store owner better attitude I will never rent a u haul from this location again

It was a 2 hour process to get the u-haul. Missing key, check engine light on, had to talk to multiple people at u-haul. Maybe the worst experience with a company in my life. I have honestly considered contacting my lawyer due to the careless and negligent manner in which you treat customers. You cost me time and money. It originally began with needing a hitch and a trailer, which was never completed. So I had to rent a truck and my spouse had to take off work to drive the truck because I cannot drive two vehicles at once. U-haul (Sharon in Columbus, GA) apologized for that and claimed that I would get $50 for those issues, which never happened. The run around over the truck had my card charged twice because of two different contracts and finally refunded the first one included the $50 guarantee (Thank you Classica Williams!!) for all of the various issues. Which we did get that time, but had to wait days for it to return to my bank account. I am glad I had enough funds or I would not have been able to rent it at all. Classica Williams is a complete rock star and should get a bonus based on the customer care she gave. I would love the $50 I was told I would get. I don't think the guy who runs that location gives one cent of care for your business and the customers you have however the bald guy with a braided beard went above and beyond with a system he knows nothing about to help me. You make millions a year, fix your issues, clean up your trucks and invest in you employees!

U-haul should keep pick up/ drop offs at actual U-haul locations only. I reserved my truck at a u-haul location, checked in online and uploaded my driver's license online( still had to show), but still had to wait an hour to pick up the truck. They had to make phone calls about my reservation because he didn't know how to do something. While waiting, he didn't say why I was waiting, he said "it'll be just a second ma'am " may have said that twice the entire time while I'm waiting. He also had to ring up 2-3 customers while I'm waiting for a u-haul I reserved on January 4, 2021. Also he had to put gas in the truck, which should have been done. The wait time was entirely too long for a truck I made reservations for a week ahead of time and made sure I followed all instructions about my information to NOT have to wait over an hour. Pick up was at 10:00 am, I got there at 9:45am and left around 10:50am. He was nice but I in the future I prefer to deal U-haul employees/ stores only, because my transaction would have been way quicker and truck would have had gas in it before I got there. The truck was clean and in very good condition.

The process took a very long time despite doing online check in beforehand. All of our information that we had already filled out was requested again.

First, I had a reservation for another location and that location there was no one there. I called 800-uhaul and they sent me to this location. I arrived before they closed and was told that the person that did U-Haul was already gone for the day. I said well you to call them and tell them that I am here to pickup my rental. I had to wait for over 30 minutes before they came back so that I could get my rental.

Used the app to expadit the getting of the truck which directed me to go into the business. Received good customer service when getting the key. However when returning the truck the customer service was not very good. Was left standing at the counter by one employee who didn't acknowledge me nor did she advise me to wait on an other employee. Also had issues with the app as it would not let me change the millage on checking out nor upload pictures.

I called location to let them know I would be 2 hours late due to being delayed on the highway. I picked up the truck with 1/4 tank of gas and returned it with close to 3/4 tank, but given no credit for giving them extra gas. I was charged an extra day for everything, just for the truck to sit in their parking lot during the extra day I was charged for. I've rented several Uhaul trucks in the past year to haul items to our property in Valdosta and I was delayed another time, but called to let the location know and wasn't charged. I called this location ahead of time as well. There were several trucks sitting in the tiny parking lot when I returned the truck, so it wasn't like anyone was waiting on it. I'll never rent from this location again. It's a sketchy convenience store that I wouldn't normally feel safe to go to anyway. They will never get another penny from me or my family.

It is sad we had to drive an hour and 15 mins to get a uhaul because it was Sunday. We live in Tifton Ga and there are a few places that do uhaul but one open had no trucks at all. And the other places were all closed. Do er had to drive to Albany Ga to get a truck. Other than that got the truck very clean. The people that rented it to us were nice and handled it quickly. Thank you

I was not happy when Uhaul wanted to send me 30 minutes out the way to Moultrie, GA to pick up a truck. When I go through a major town of Albany and to ask for them to book me a Uhaul there. The location was not in the best part of town and it was in a busy gas station. I was not happy when I got to the location that I had to wait for the gentleman to input my information when I made a reservation. It took him over 30 minutes for me to get my rental truck. He said that we did not have an appliance dolly reserved. We had to pay for it separately. The gentleman did apologize for it and said my information was not right in the system. Overall, the gentleman was nice, the location was terrible and Uhaul is not helpful over the phone.

I am from Ohio in front of a car truck at 3pm, seeing that it was not useful to transport the car, so it returned at around 4pm. and they did not want to accept it and they had me as a PIM pom ball between two nearby locations and neither wanted to accept it that I returned it in Ohio. I won't take it when I don't need it

Uhaul app was not working and caused a lot of wasted time. Also info that had been put into the uhaul system was not accurate. Somehow it added a dolly and blankets which store owner said he would take off. Of course when I dropped off the person was not there and when I called in the morning to make sure she didn't charge me she had already done the bill. So another phone call to get a credit sent. Almost like they were trying to add to the bill. I knew this location was not the best so I spent extra time online to make it easier, didn't work out at all. Wasted time on both.

The truck was filthy, there was undocumented damages to the truck, the dolly and the furniture pads were missing. Uhaul needs to look into what this location is doing.

I went to return the truck at 3 Pm and I thought a easy process. Stood there for 30min and the owner of the store was having a hard time. So he then realized I had to call 24/7. I did and that took another 30 min to walk through on phone. But the young lady that assisted me was so kind and patient as well as I . Well lesson learned if I need the truck again I know what to do.

I am utterly disgusted with U-Haul. We are in a middle of a pandemic, and I just wanted an easy service during a stressful time in my life, and not one person I spoke to made it easier. All of you should be ashamed of yourselves. Such a greedy company who doesn't care about its customers in the slightest. Ridiculous. Never ever will I use this company again, and I will blast it on social media with how awful it was. Especially during this pandemic. The man couldn't even focus on one customer, and probably gave me coronavirus. So if I test positive I am going to sue the crap out of this company. And Jenny gonna be like, "he has to service his other customers" like heck no. Not during a time like this. And Mark was no help either. Lazy and doesn't want to handle this situation. U-Haul should have higher standards. Sorry excuse for a company.

Store owner was rude and didn't want to service me. He literally stood doing nothing until a woman came up, even told me to “hold on” when I asked a question about picking up my rental. The woman was very helpful and kind even with him looking over her shoulder while completing the process.

These people were not polite or helpful they hooked up my car to the dolly that was not the one I was supposed to get and did not hook up the chains later on my journey my car almost came off and it caused a dent on my door I knew nothing about hooking the chains onto my car it was only when I got to little River I was informed by candy that I had driven without the chains attached to my car if it had not been for candy and her assistant in Myrtle Beach I would never deal with uhaul again she restored my faith in people she went above and beyond to help me

They were nice enough when I picked it up but not necessarily prepared. I had to assist the man in hooking up the trailer and suffice it to say he was lucky I'm not a girly girl or he would have had an issue on his hands. Upon return there was no one there to help me and I had to use my car jack to get the trailer off my vehicle. I returned the trailer an hour early and was still charged for the full rental. I won't be renting from uhaul in the future unless it's from the actual uhaul store.

I arranged to have the equipment ready for pick-up at 7 am but the location did nothing and I had to wait until 9 am for the office to open. They were unapologetic about the mistake. I had movers set up to load the truck at 8 am. I will look for a dependable company the next time I need to rent a truck or trailer.

Recipient of truck said "They'll call you if they need anything." That's rather unhelpful. Although, they did allow me to return to fill the tank with gas after I found out that my dad returned if empty.
