CEROY JI completed my reservation through the website and did not read the prompt correctly, The verbiage should have clearly stated the truck was not available at the original location. After calling the location, the actual site staff was short and annoyed that I was calling. Maintaining the customer service throughout the customer experience was terrible and was definitely not a high priority. When I called customer service, they finally got me a reservation 100 miles away from the original site. This would be ok but fueling costs for such a large vehicle is expensive. Then we had a fueling problem when I returned the tank. I thought it was returned at the same level and the site said it wasn't. I didn't mind paying the fees but it was all so unprofessional and confusing. The tank isn't full but return it with a similar level. The receiving site will make an assessment of how much you will pay. I will take on the responsibility of me not reading the contract but damn, have you seen the amount of paperwork and endless emails you send your customers? It's just a broken system with poor customer service. I will go with penske next time because at least the customer service is consistent. I;ll over pay with a moving company because again, customer service and consistency.

Karen IColumbia was the fourth location we were told to pick up our equipment at over the course of three days. The first three locations didn't have the equipment available that we were told would be there. The third location was over 50 miles away and did not have the truck on site. Two days were wasted in our move because of U-Haul. I do not intend on using your services again because the information we received from U-Haul regarding our rental was flat-out false the majority of the time. The Columbia agent was the only helpful one.

Todd BHaving rented a Uhaul only once before, I didn't understand the process very well. The person that handled my rental was rude and condescending. He made zero efforts to answer questions about the rental, and when my wife called to ask about the mileage and the price, he was extremely rude and unhelpful. In addition to poor customer service, they also didn't give me what I asked for. I called them 10 minutes before I arrived and asked if they had a 10ft truck. They said yes. After I had already signed the contract, I went out to find a 15ft truck. Also, the fuel level marked on the contact didn't match the fuel level in the vehicle, but at that point, I just wanted to get out of there. No one bothered to show me where the truck was at, so I had to just walk around the lot to find the matching numbers. It wasn't a huge lot, but it seems like someone could have walked out with me. I would have mentioned the discrepancy of the fuel gauge, but like I said, I was just ready to leave. I will not make this mistake again.

Bert BI would NOT recommend using the national website to place an order. Call a local store to make a reservation. The online site provided us with a confirmation for a truck/equipment that was not at the site that was requested. When we called the national office, we were told that customers can expect that when placing an order online. Not good service.

I was with him for an hour trying untangle the mess they created and finally had to tell me he's work on it more the next day and I could leave.

Maria BTruck wasn't very clean inside or out. The windshield was terrible both inside and out. This is probably more of a uhaul thing than this particular location, but uhaul really needs to do better maintenance and upkeep on their trucks. The truck I had was 15 years old and had close to 140 000 miles on it. And, the front wheels apparently were out of balance. Felt like the front wheels were bouncing or wobbling or something and the steering wheel shook.
