During the Dayton Tornado a we had 2 Daughters and their children/families, whose home was destroyed, and spent 3 days getting them through the degree, and salvaging what we could. Although we have been a loyal Uhaul customer for many years, this time it would have been nice to have had less mileage costs to deal with. .99 a mile was a lot from Trotwood to Cinn. , which was the closest storage to Hamilton, (where we live), thatbthebuhaul agent could find us. Need to change the fuel fillup policy, they called me after I returned it and said I didn’t put gas in it, I told them I did put gas in and they told me it wasn’t to the mark on the contract. If the tank had been full when I took it I could had filled it back up, so they charged me an extra 25 dollars for a 1/8 tank of gas. I feel like I was cheated out of 25 dollars

Wanda lies and charged us $25 for a piece of tape and a leaf my husband cleaned out himself upon seeing the extra charges. Also let then vehicle run before she checked the gas and then charged us for gas!

Very nice clean shop, very courteous and quick pickup. He had the truck running and the cab was warmed up (it was 9 degrees F at the time!). I would highly recommend Compass Self Storage based on the quality of this experience.

I tried unsuccessfully multiple times to register online so that I could pick up a truck using the phone app. Each time I entered in the verification code, and each time it failed. I used both Firefox and Chrome with similar results. The only negative experience I had was with your webportal.

The uhaul I rented a year ago was very clean and taken care of HOWEVER this one had Arizona plates on it so I’m not sure it was one of the regular uhaul for this location but it was filthy pop was spilled allover inside it had dirty forks in the floor seat was sticky crud allover inside and the back hadn’t been swept out it was disgusting.

Very pleasant experience from start to finish. the process of picking up the van was really easy, used the on-line check in. The van was very comfortable and worked perfectly for our move. Bill was really nice and gave great customer service. Will absolutely use Compass for any future u-haul or storage needs.

The only issue I’d like to see addressed is the equipment availability. I think uhaul is an awesome tool especially last minute moving!! The only downside is saying equipment is available without knowing the true inventory. I needed a 15$ trailer and ended up with a 67$ van, 15$ in gas and 30$ to get a ramp for unloading. Great customer service otherwise! Thank you

The gentleman at this location were very polite and well spoken. I appreciate being talked to like I'm a human being rather than an idiot. They were very accommodating to the late return of the truck due to my husband breaking his foot.

My day should have been easy pick up the truck, pick up my furniture, unload the furniture bring the truck back maybe 80 miles tops. However due to the truck not properly maintained I went over a extra 120 miles. The truck was clean however the cigarette lighter does not work. In result I was unable to maintain my phone charge which I desperately need in my line of business. I had a back up battery pack which lasted a little while. However in result I drove around almost a hour aimlessly and continuously stopping for help to find the location to return the truck. After I was unsuccessful winging it with no directions because im not from this area of town i drove at least 30 miles home to gain access for diections to the property to return the truck and after I had adequate directions drove over 30 miles back to drop it off. In the end result of not having that cigarette outlet costed me a unnecessary extra $50 to drive home and back and another $50 driving around town to find the location. Please be advised it would be a good idea to add a map of location either in the truck or in the paperwork and also have the outlet fixedm. I would not someone else out a $100 of unnecessary frustration and travelling.

The location is not the problem. The problem is the poor customer service and price inflation that UHaul charged my credit after the rental. I had the truck for four days and was charged for a week. The false advertising of $19.99 per day does not include the inflated mileage and rate charged if you keep the the van for more than one day. I have rented before and was. It changed like this rental. I will not rent from UHaul again.

The gentleman here was super friendly and knowledgeable he was down to earth and put the customer first which is why I gave 5 stars. I am disappointed however in my o line experience, I confirmed a reservation 10 miles away from where my confirmation text sent me. The women on the phone said it was because no one was open on Sunday, that’s fine but don’t allow me to confirm at a location closed on Sunday? This extra mileage cost me an extra $10 I was not prepared to pay. I would explore my options next time instead of relying on a brand I know
