Gas gauge is slow to measure. I put way too much gas in and feel ripped offJay E.
We reserved our uhaul 3 weeks in advance. Once we arrived for pick up, they didn't have any of the equipment we needed to rent. No furniture dollies, utility dollies, etc.. Once we go to the truck and trailer, there were MANY problems with them. Broken lights and such. Then we got into the cab of the truck were there was a "check fuel cap" notification. Were we were proceeded to be told we couldn't take this truck!! We were on a move out deadline! We reserved this 3 weeks ago! After 2 hours of being on the phone trying to find another truck or a tech to come fix it, we finally got to take the truck. Moving was a horrible experience without the equipment we needed on the reservation. The cab of the truck smelled like PEE. Absolutely horrible experience. Why didn't anyone inspect this truck and trailer before confirming pick up for us? This really puts many people in a bind. We are never going to use u-haul again. Maybe switch over to penske.Thomas C.
This was far and away the best experience I have had renting a Uhaul trailer. Highly reccomend the Crossroads Self Storage location, because of the friendliness and ease with which this rental took place. I wish there wasn't a central reservation system, because I would use this location every single time!CAMILLE S.

Use someone other than UHaul. Nothi about the location is bad. But your system is garbage! My reservation got moved. My truck smells like gasoline I call 5 times to deal with cistern service and got disconnected every time. Y'all can go bankrupt and I'd be thrilled!Brian H.

Comments?? I sent this email last night before 8p describing my experience w the 24/7 uhaul. To repeat: the uhaul rep at the location went above beyond and even stayed over 1h25m after he had clocked out. I will make sure everyone hears my experience since you failed to respond to my email. Oh and one last thing, when I got the uhaul finally, I had less than a 1/4 tank of gas!!!!! Email to your customer service after spending almost 1h30m dealing w this crap!!!! Today I, a female, made reservations to pick up a U-Haul at the Crossroads Self Storage, Windsor, CO. First issue, At no time was I told that the truck was located in Denver Colorado vs the location I requested. At 5:45 the representative for the Crossroads location happen to be walking out the building and seeing that we were struggling to get the 15 foot truck. He proceeded to help us with the reservation and that is how we found out that they had moved my reservation to Denver Colorado. So we canceled it and created this reservation number that you see referenced in the subject title bc he did have the exact truck I requested. Second issues, He watched me enter in all my information, along w alternate contact which was my husband who was also there with me. But the representative who was supposed to approve it kept giving us the runaround. Made reintegrate alternate contacts and my picture and DL info THREE TIMES. Even your U-Haul rep there was amazed. After telling me to give her another name other Adam , i said I don't have another person. What did she do?? That representative basically kicked out the conversation. So I had to create another conversation with another rep. At this point it is now 6:20 PM the new â€œapprovalâ€ rep kept wanting another phone number in addition to the one that I have provided. During that time, my husband had two people call him to verify from the U-Haul (1 at 640p 2nd at 6:41p) and when he stated his name they said OK thank you and hung up. When I communicated This to the rep she stated she needed another number!!!! we went round and round on how there are no other numbers Next thing you know I get a phone call at 6:54p asking me my name and then hung up It took another 10 minutes to even get approval. I did not even pull out of the parking lot until 7:09PM. FYI, the local rep at that locationdo left me at 6:35 PM because he had a prior engagement but was nice enough to stick around and see the insanity that I had to go through to rent a U-Haul. And here is my third issue , my husband rented a U-Haul from North Carolina to this exact location. And for that reservation NOT ONCE did your company need a second alternate number for someone to verify the return. Which clearly leads me to believe that if you're a female and you Want to rent a U-Haul you have to provide multiple phone numbers. This is ridiculous that I waited for an hour and 20 minutes to rent a uhaul for one day. Not to mention the return time on my reservation states 615p even though I didn't get â€œapprovalâ€ until after 7p. This was an absolute shit show trying to rent a U-Haul for one day especially after we rented one for seven days and did not have to go through this fiasco but I guess since like I stated above let a man rent, no problem. Completely different story fir a female. I demand someone from uhaul to contact me!!! Whoever you had on call doing the online 24/7 approval obviously thought this was game. ðŸ˜¡ I also would like you to know we tried the 800 number as soon as we started having issues with the rep standing with us and no one clicked over until 710 when my husband finally got a hold of someone and we started to tell her everything that was happeningâ€¦..imagine what she did (which I'm sure you have it recorded so you can tell we didn't get out of line or anything) but she HUNG up. Hence why you are now getting this scathing email!!!! I firmly believe this was done to me bc I was a woman trying to rent a uhaul along with the incompetent ppl running your online system. If I don't hear back I will no doubt be contacting higher up and others bc I truly felt discriminated against.Mian R.

I received an additional bill for 80 $+ It says I am charged for and extra day plus plus. The paperwork says we had until 9am Monday and we dropped it off befor the close of business on Sunday. Extra day? Please refund. I checked with the originating rental place and they said there should be no extra charges and that I needed to contact crossroads but I waited on hold for 12 minutes with not even a chance to leave a callback number. My pick up location was moved further away from my house and my original pick up location to this one. The moment I arrived and walked up (about 10 minutes before my 8:30am pick up time) a male employee stopped us outside at the front door and asked us what we were there for. I let him know I was there to pick up my uhaul reservation for 8:30 and the first response back was to condescendingly say "Just like I've been telling everyone else, you aren't getting a truck until 9am." I then responded that my reservation online was for 8:30am and then pulled out my cell phone to look it up. He decided to bring us inside to take a look. Throughout this whole process he was "unable" to find our reservation and I had to hand him my phone with the reservation number and details on it. He claimed he needed to reenter it manually and so we went through the long process of providing him all of the details already in the reservation. We finally got out around 8:45am. Later in the day I decided to take a look at my account with U-haul and found that he had made a second reservation and had NOT put in any of the information I provided to him from the first one. The damage protection had not been added and my mileadge for the day had been reduced by 20 miles even though we had to travel farther to pick up from his location! I called Uhaul's customer service about the discrepencies and asked them to fix them. This location made me feel like I was inconveniencing them instead of being the one inconvenienced by the pick up change. They were rude, unprofessional, and negligent in making sure my reservation details were correct.Kassy R.

I wish I could give more stars than five - they deserve them. I had a multipart rental and had to pick up equipment from two locations. There was an issue with the contract from another location that I could not resolve with neither original location nor U-Haul dispatch. It was this location that helped me and answered every single phone call I made, went above and beyond reaching out to company contacts to get my issue resolved.Jurijs G.

When I made our reservation for a 10' truck, I got the confirmation via email and we called the location saying when we would be picking it up so we thought we were good to go. We got to the location, and we got an error message saying that we were unable to pick up our u-Haul because it was too early on the day of pick up, which was May 29th. The error message said we had to wait until the facility opened on May 29th at 8:30 AM. But we were at the facility on the 29th at 7PM. It didn't make any sense so I ended up chatting with a 24/7 representative, who proceeded to tell me there was no 10' truck available at our location. She suggested a 26' truck rental which we have to pay extra for. She then gave me the customer service number to get more help (which we had already called but the operator said the wait time would be 20-30 mins). So I called, was on hold for 10-15 mins and got a very nice woman. She informed me that the session on the app probably just timed out but yes, there was no 10' truck available at our location and offered a 20' or 26' truck rental. I asked her if she would charge us extra and she said no, because of the inconvenience, we can take either truck for the same price as a 10' truck. Overall, yes we did get a better deal but the location needs to have a more updated inventory of what trucks they have available.Jennifer D.
I waited for an hour and a half to get my truck. Office personnel got stuck in accident traffic. I was not able to figure out how to pick up the truck electronically, and I was on hold with UHaul for over an hour. Once the clerk got to the office, everything went smoothly.Robert R.

The place where I picked up the equpment was fine and the condition was excellent. The HORRIBLE experience with U-Haul was that all your software was down and my reservation was lost and all information had to be re-entered manually that took almost 2 hours. During a move 1/3 thw way across the country the was a stressfull experience and I had no way to even print out rental contract papaers for while being on the road. It took going up the food chain in U-Haul corportate to get anything done. Even your phones were on the blink because you have VOIP phones. Totally frustrating and stressful. I asked yor manager for some sort of compesation for this horrible experience. It was not the fault of the dealers but an incompetent IT departement that cannot keep your systens up. Greetings, I received my final bill for the rental and the milage the facility recorded for my ending mileage was incorrect. I emailed the business with the picture and an explanation of the overcharge and I never heard from them. The amount is not huge, less than 20,00 $, but the final bill was incorrect. I arrived at my appointment time at 9am. No one was at the location to give me keys so a local scheduler had to send me another 17 miles further from my house after already have to change locations once. Later that afternoon a guy called me from the place returning my call he said the person supposed to be there was sick (not empathetically). I guess they don't check messages often. Just not a professional location and wasted an additional hour and a half of a busy moving day. I am sure we are a one-off situation. At least I hope we are. The scheduler Jennifer was very helpful on the phone to get me to my next pick-up location in Fort Collins which was much better!Robert J.
