The tank was supposed to be full, but it was down 1/8 of a tank. I was already on the road when I looked at it, so I just accepted that I would have to give uhaul that extra gas. I will be checking more closely in the future. Also, not the fault of the site, but uhaul had agreed to provide a truck in Rocky Mount, VA, but called me early the same morning of pick up day to say that we had to go to Roanoke, VA to get our truck. We had to scramble with my husband's work schedule to go that far to get the truck. It was frustrating to say the least.
Susan J.The location wasn't exactly clean because it was an automobile garage/shop. One would not expect it to be clean, but one would also not expect to rent a UHAUL from such a place. It was a little unclear where one should go to conduct UHAUL business. Once someone was found, he was helpful in taking care of me.

David S.The overall experience with UHaul was unsatisfactory. We had 3 different locations we were told to pick up the vehicle. If we had not called UHaul on 7/1, we would still be waiting for a truck. Fortunately, a customer representative located a truck and held the reservation on 7/1. Custom Truck Bodies did not know we had a reservation when we arrived, and they later found the reservation and truck. Not a confidence inspiring experience from UHaul.

Dustin D.I like the location and the man is nice. The truck smelled of cigarette smoke. I don't smoke. I drove the truck 7 miles and had to buy 2 gallons of gas to return it to 1/4 tank. What is the mpg these trucks get? 4mpg? Don't say it all depends on the driving, I was driving on neighborhood roads. Uhaul Corporate should upgrade its fleet and donate the old trucks. I wish there was a hybrid box truck!

Paul K.Worse U-Haul experience I have ever had charged my card 3 times $78 $58 and $134 first two they say were holds and I have to wait to get that money back then when I take the truck back I made sure I filled it back up then they said I didn't put it back where it was just another lie over all my years never had a problem with U-Haul but I can promise I will never use this location ever again

Andrew W.Absolutely horrible experience. I had rented equipment for pick up at a different U-Haul location with an in-person associate (not via mobile device). This location called me two days prior to let me know they'd scheduled me for pick up at their location. I spoke to them twice and was never told it would be a mobile pick up instead of in person. I went to the location on my pick up day and time to find the gate locked up, the door to the office behind the locked gate, and a phone that wasn't being answered with the voicemail explaining they were either helping other customers (not likely in this situation) or closed. I was on hold with the customer service number for 20 minutes without actually ever receiving help. My phone was almost dead when I remembered there was two options for pick up and tried to log in to see if there was an option on my account to pick up via phone. The website was glitching and made me repeat information multiple times, as well as wasting my alternate contact's time. My husband was on hold with Uhaul for over 20 minutes and my father on hold for over 30 minutes. Beyond frustrating experience and it made the moving experience 100 fold more stressful than it already is without these unnecessary problems from Uhaul.

John B.Dear Sir/Madam, In my reservation I specified I had to travel from Blacksburg to College Station. The bed of the truck was clean, but the cabin was not (at least not for such a long trip). We had to clean the entire cabin (there was even the rest of food on the floor, and everything was covered in dust).
Lucas S.Not screw me on the pickup location. You had me pick up the truck 42 miles from where I needed it. Therefore I had to drive 42 miles of the total 347 allotted miles just to get the truck to Blacksburg. But, Marita from U haul on 7/15/21 at 9:40 am told me "don't worry, they are giving you an extra 60 miles for the inconvenience." Well that didn't happen and you charged me $.44 cents for being over by 1 mile after you screwed me out of 60 miles. Low class. Unprofessional.
