Blankets were not available. It was said that the homeless had stolen them. We think the homeless may have used the truck to sleep in as someone had defected inside. My men had to clean up the spot and tried to get rid of awful smell. Also the original spot I was promised a truck was in Moneta, Virginia. It ended up we had to pick up truck in Roanoke thus adding mileage to the trip which we had to pay. We are requesting a refund on extra mileage as we were promised a pick up for truck in Moneta and not in Roanoke. We were also promised extra miles. None of that happened. Empty promises.

Windy EpperlyClosed and locked at 4:00 pm on a Friday. No one to assist drop off. I left a phone voice mail message with my information and dropped trailer in parking lot with other trailers. I literally had the small hitch trailer for under 24 hours for one small load going one way. THEY FRAUDULENTLY BILLED MY DEBT CARD FOR AN EXTRA 7 DAYS! Uhaul refunded me. This location should not have the privilege of representing Uhaul.

Joshua FaulkForced to use the app for the rental as U-Haul couldn't provide the truck I rented at any location near me. I did have an agent try to offer me a larger truck, but insisted I pay the higher price - after assuring me that the truck I wanted at the price listed would be available. At the rental location I was sent to, there is next to no cell phone coverage in the area, and no Wi-Fi at all - though the key box claims that there is free Wi-Fi available. The app continuously reset after I tried repeatedly to upload the 6-8 pictures needed to pick up or return the truck. I spent an easy one hour and 30 minutes first just trying to get the key to leave on pickup, and then return the truck at the end of the period. An absolutely miserable experience that I wish on no one else. I don't rent a lot of trucks, but I can promise I will be looking for alternatives rather than EVER going through that experience again.

Paul GriffinDisparity between online reservation and authorized dealer resulted in not having a furniture dolly available for which I already paid. This wasn't the dealer's fault and he did his best to make it right.

The remote pickup was a total fiasco took an hour and a half it is supposed to be easy in all it was was difficult stressful and a royal pain. You people do not know what customer service actually means

I didnt notice until later that evening that this company never checked my truck in when I dropped if off. I went on app and selected 7pm bc that was my only option at that time.

Timothy AuwarterThe tank was supposed to be full, but it was down 1/8 of a tank. I was already on the road when I looked at it, so I just accepted that I would have to give uhaul that extra gas. I will be checking more closely in the future. Also, not the fault of the site, but uhaul had agreed to provide a truck in Rocky Mount, VA, but called me early the same morning of pick up day to say that we had to go to Roanoke, VA to get our truck. We had to scramble with my husband's work schedule to go that far to get the truck. It was frustrating to say the least.
Susan JohnsThe location wasn't exactly clean because it was an automobile garage/shop. One would not expect it to be clean, but one would also not expect to rent a UHAUL from such a place. It was a little unclear where one should go to conduct UHAUL business. Once someone was found, he was helpful in taking care of me.

David SmithThe overall experience with UHaul was unsatisfactory. We had 3 different locations we were told to pick up the vehicle. If we had not called UHaul on 7/1, we would still be waiting for a truck. Fortunately, a customer representative located a truck and held the reservation on 7/1. Custom Truck Bodies did not know we had a reservation when we arrived, and they later found the reservation and truck. Not a confidence inspiring experience from UHaul.
greg fowlerThe drop off was at Riverside Smoke Shop in Salem, VA. The person that I saw at drop off very completely uniterested. I had no idea if she was going to get the equipment checked in properly or not so I called the UHaul customer service 800 number to voice my concerns.
