Kent C.Horrible experience. I would honestly like a refund of sorts. They did not have anything correct on their end. I was sent to multiple locations. I was supposed to get my U-Haul at 6am and was not able to get it until 10 am.
Brian M.I rented a 6'x12' enclosed trailer for a one day in town rental. When hooking up the trailer to my F-250 diesel truck (fully equipped for towing) the trailer lights did not operate. The site operator wiggled the connector & then removed and reinstalled the connector in the 4 pin connector on my truck. When the box clearance lights came on with very little illumination I suggested that there might be a problem with the trailer to which the site operator suggested that it could be my truck. After further discussion I left with the trailer only to have the 4 pin connector melt to the point that the 3 pins that were enclosed in the connector were exposed and heated to the point that they were welded into the factory installed permanent connector on my truck. I had to take my truck k and the trailer to a U-Haul service center to resolve the issue. The service center personnel were professional, competent and prompt. They had to replace 3 fuses and 1 relay in my trucks towing circuitry to get my truck's towing system back operating. Additionally, the Service Center personnel tested and issued a replacement trailer for my use. I requested compensation for damages done to my truck due to faulty U-Haul equipment but got no response.
