The gentleman from Daytona Automotive was very helpful and understood my frustration. I can't say enough good things about the service at Daytona Automotive. They made the difference with my experience with U-Haul. Great customer service!!! In my opinion, they should operate the main hub for U-Haul in the area.

John D.Don't charge the customer for the dolly. The U-haul should include one or just charge a one time fee of $12 not per day. Customer service was excellent though.

The U-Haul rental place in Sebring, Fl was not willing to wait 5 minutes after I drove an hour to get there. I had to settle for a smaller trailer than I needed and leave furniture behind.

orbelin C.Told me lies about haul, would not give me a trailer, he told me I needed a tow dolly. Very nice acting but about the worst representative for your company. Said unsullied corporate was a stupid bunch of idiots that had nothing to do with his business. Told me he didn't have time to get the trailer ready for me… you need a tow dolly. I drove it 12 miles, charged me 101.00. I gave up.
EDGAR E.Where do I start??!! I reserved the auto transport trailer to be picked up at O'Bryan Equipment in Bardstown, KY and returned to Okeechobee Store and Lock, Okeechobee, FL. When U-haul completed my reservation I was to pick the equipment up at Big Daddy's Auto Sales in Lebanon, KY and return to Daytona Automotive Repair, Okeechobee, FL. After picking up the equipment I was notified via text message that my return location had been changed to Port Saint Lucie, FL, which is a 90+ mile roundtrip from Okeechobee. I contacted Uhaul, spoke to Ken (who was very personable and helpful) when I was ready to return the transport. Ken saw that I was to return it to Port Saint Lucie. When I told him it was a 90+ mile drive, he changed the return location to Okeechobee Store and Lock. I went to OS&L the next morning, only to find out they “do not take trailersâ€. When I mentioned Daytona Automotive Repair and that they were full and could not accept the trailer she said “he always says thatâ€. I went to Daytona Automotive Repair, walked in and told the man I had a Uhaul trailer to return. He said he would not accept it. I told him I'd already been to OS&L, Daytona Automotive Repair was my original return location, and that I was not going to Port Saint Lucie due to the distance. He said “I don't care where you take it but you're not leaving it here†in a very rude manner. I went outside to called Uhaul where I was eventually transferred to the traffic manager for the area. After being on the phone with Uhaul for over 45 minutes, the man from Daytona Automotive Repair came out and told me to move my truck, that he had someone there to pick up a Uhaul trailer. I told him my truck was not moving until Uhaul gave me a definitive location for return of the transport. He told me to move it across the street, to which I gave him the same reply. He said he would call a tow truck to have my truck towed. I told him to do what he had to do, but I was not moving until Uhaul gave me a return location. He said he keeps telling Uhaul not to send any more equipment to him as he has a small lot with no space for more equipment. I told him I sympathized with his predicament, but I was still not moving without a return location. After 10-15 minutes of bacon-and-forth with him, he asked me “how are your backing skills?â€. I told him I could back the transport into a space on his lot, at which time he said if I backed it into the space he would accept my return. I would like to think my experience with Uhaul is not typical, but it's the only experience I have to go by. Uhaul has been renting equipment for a long time so it's hard for me to believe a majority of customers had the experience I had, or Uhaul would have been out of business long ago. Rest assured, it will be an ABSOLUTE NECESSITY before I have any dealings with Uhaul again!

ryan G.Not this location but with customer service over all poor rating. I had to change my my equipment three times on hold for long times and when I went to pick up my equipment it was not there. I had to drive 50 miles on way to pick up the equipment and when I got there the days was not right and the price I was told was not right. I had to then call again and was told a manager would call me in the next 24 hours and I still have not got that call yet and I do t see where I was refunded the $20 more I paid for it was given back.
Pamela S.Trailer was dirty. Had tire blowout on the way to Florida. Roadside assistance was great. Took about 2 hours to effect the replacement. The drop off location initially refused to accept the trailer as they were over crowded. They wanted us to driver 1,5 hours round trip to another location. It took the intercession of an area manager to get the drop off to occur at the agreed location
Michael S.We have had some bad customer service experiences with U-Haul in the past, but our experience with this location was great. He followed through with all procedures, pick-up and return.. This is the first time in a the past 6 months that the pick-up and return were hassle free.

I was told it was 40 dollars for an extra day to be added …I was also told I would get an additional 56 miles ….. and I got charged a bunch of fees … I am very disappointed in the amount due on the second day and will be calling to dispute it

I asked if he needed to sign to confirm the drop off and he curtly said no. and it turned out "over there" was a pretty tight spot on the side of the garage and a little assistance would have been nice.
