Improve?!?!? Nothing, this location has gone over and beyond to make my experience amazing. I mean I'm talking about everything. I asked for 2 dozen blankets and I got that. And I even got a breakfast when I arrived. Something that wasn't needed or asked for and got anyway. Definitely a nice treat. And the owner was such a pleasure to work with. Anything that would have made my experience better, he went above and beyond to make sure that happened. Even on his day off, normally people would be relaxing at home but he answered me in a quick manner only to go above and beyond there too. Just so professional. I wish there were more people like him in this world. It just makes renting equipment especially moving which is already a tough time that much easier. Trust and believe if you want to rent a U-Haul and you want everything to run smooth and be easy on your part, rent from Dominion Land & Auction Company. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!

We were charged an additional 60 because we did not drop the vehicle off before 8 am. EVEN THOUGH we spoke to customer service the day prior, and told us the site was closed that day so to just drop the trailer off whenever. This was misleading, and I believe the 60 dollar charge should be dropped.

You change my location..causing me to pay more for mileage.. and there was a truck available at the location I picked..because I called and asked!!!!!! The signs for this location are not clear.. no one in the office once I finally saw a little uhaul sign on a door in the middle of a used car lot..and hair shop... no dominion land and auction sign... uhauls on both sides of 460 as well..

Picked up rental truck on Friday, Sept 11 with the intent of returning the truck on Sunday, Sept 13. However, needed the truck a bit longer and returned it on Monday morning, Sept 14 with a full tank of gas. Key left in drop box. Just rec'd credit card statement and I was charged for an additional day, through Tues Sept 15. I questioned this first with the supplier and they indicated that I should not have any charges for the 15th and directed me to the UHaul Traffic Center since they are the only ones that could make billing adjustments. UHaul contacted Dominion, the supplier, and was told that the truck did not come back until the 15th. What the heck. I know when it was returned, and their story was different with UHaul. My advice is to hold on to the gas receipt that will have the date of the fill-up/return date. I paid over $300.00 for a local in town move!.

The traffic light at the intersection for exiting the trailer storage lot does not have a signal for the lot, so when exiting with the trailer attached and heading back across the main highway to finalize the rental, the customer has to turn right and then make a U-turn, or else make a guess when the crossing traffic all has red lights.

They took care of the issues but there was a leak in the Mom's Attic portion. Previous renters should have reported it... A repair on a metal panel in the floor was loose and eventually failed. No injuries ensued, and the location took the truck out of circulation immediately.

Very crowded lot. It was a college town, so I understand a lot of rentals coming in. The person who helped me was a young man. He was directing renters and running from drop-off to drop-off. Very energetic and helpful. I didn't get his name, but he deserves extra credit for how hard he was working that day.

The drop off lots are confusing. There is no one present on Sundays and the signage on the building is confusing and misleading. There's at least 3 different locations “across the street” [2 different streets too] that one could return a truck - with no indication of which lot is the correct lot. The sign simply says “across the street”. Wouldn't be as big of a deal if that same sign – hidden behind a trash can outside the office – didn't also state a “$25 re-parking fee for those left here”, which is casually crossed out in faded white ink with “$100.00” written above it, barely visible. Yikes. Luckily an employee phone number left on a piece of paper on the door finally responded to a text message and told me I had dropped it off in the correct lot. Also, BE AWARE, according to another sign, they charge “$4.88/0.1gal” of fuel – that's $48.80/gallon, which by all accounts is insanely EXPENSIVE, so don't forget to top off your tank. Since my return date was a Sunday, I had no choice but to return when there were no employees present. Otherwise I would recommend returning when an employee is present to avoid any confusion. To clarify and be fair, I wasn't hit with any added charges or fees, but the signage on the storefront had me pretty worried.

I was scheduled to pick my U-HAUL up at 8pm. I was told I would receive a code for a lock box. I was not able to leave the lot until 10pm because the keys were not put in a lock box. I had to call customer service and was on hold for over 40 minutes. They had to switch reservations so that I could receive a code and my keys for the truck we rented. The staff were friendly and scheduled our reservation no problem; just wasn't completed properly.

The operation is a one man show, have to exercise a little patience. Person Running it does a very good job and is attentive to all customers as best as he can. Location has 2 parking lots and a rental office. Which may be confusing but once you approach the location it does make sense. There are signs directing you to trailer drop off and truck drop off as well as where to drop keys. Overall, great experience he provides FREE SNACKS which is great when moving. Would recommend this location again.

The connection to the lights was not tested at pick up Drove 300 miles with no lights on trailer and when I dropped trailer off in Blacksburg va, I was told try did not have the tester to check if the light issue was my connection or the trailer plus they were not wearing masks and did not social distance when I got out of the car in Blacksburg

The return was a shamble. The hours of the office being open were till 5 pm, so I made a consious effort to get there by 4 pm, but found the office closed. The place to park the returning trucks was overflowing so I had to work really hard to find a spot. The online return process which finds your loaction on GPS did not work on the phone. I appear to have been charged a $25 cleaning fee which I plan to protest because the vehicle was clean and someone should have been there according to the stated hours.

This location is extremely difficult to find. I made the reservation over the phone and Becky was incredibly helpful but they never tell you everything that will be required prior to pick up. I requested "contactless" service in an effort to have less exposure to people (COVID) but I had no idea how difficult the process was to be. I had to communicate with someone via text through the entire approval process. The only phone number to call had a message that asked individuals to text yet another phone number for assistance. We ended up having to go to a poorly marked office to retrieve a key from an individual anyway but once we walked back to the lot to retrieve our vehicle I found that they didn't even include the packing blankets I had ordered and for which I had been charged. I was told they would be IN THE VEHICLE. Our vehicle had pet hair all in the back so we ended up having to clean that before we moved our 3 pieces of furniture (desk and two end tables).

I feel like I should get some sort of receipt when I drop the truck off. I've dropped 2 trucks there and it all worked out but they are so busy with VT starting, even just a little note that I dropped it off Saturday afternoon would be more reassuring, especially since I didn't hear until today that everything was okay. Just makes me a little nervous since I don't live in the area.

I will recommend thislocation based on future plans. The location was very poorly ser up due to confined parking etc. When we dropped off the trailer the young man who I believe is a co-owner was very kind and apologetic about the conditions and said they had just purchased a new parking lot the day before and were going to be moving inventory and reorganizing space etc. which will be great.

The right door needs fixing it would not open from the inside or outside. It would not even open with the key. Maybe the child lock is on but there's no way to even check to see.
